Had a bunch of M*** B**** tag along on a local purchase I made, posted it on ebay starting at 99 cents and got paid and absurd amount for it. I would have been happy with $20, because honestly if I walked past this lot at a garage sale for $5 I wouldn't take a second look. Wouldn't even take it if someone was *giving* it away.
Weird.
Not sure why you would collect them, anyway. That'd be like restoring a four door sedan.
although I don't see the point in MB collecting either, I don't think that's a fair comparison. after all there are some absolutely amazing four door sedans in the world. I think a more apt comparison would be "its like restoring a civic" sure its a car and compatible with the road system but its still an inferior product.
Yes, there are some nice four door sedans, as I am sure there are a few nice MB sets.
Either way, you get my point. It's clearly collecting the Diet Coke or Go-Bots of their product category.
He might do April at a discount given that there were fewer days.
It's not a monorail part, it is a broken 4.5v cross track and someone is actually watching it. :/

World of books are probably one of the cheapest book seller's in the UK.
Edit - another one that they sold recently

Does he really think anyone will buy that? I never understood people trying to sell "MOCs" on eBay.

Looks like a nice lot at first glance, and a great collection, but I think his price is way off. I do see some major parts to the space sets, but I'm really not convinced of any completeness here, and there's also just an assortment of random minifigs and parts. I'd be a little wary paying $1000 for this lot. Even then, I'd want to see built models and not just a bunch of parts bagged by color.
He sold THIS for $80!! luisted as a CUSTOM Millenium Falcon!
how about $75 for this princess leia pirates set??????????
Come on, we've all had that moment where you unwrap the present and have to summon all your inner strength to smile politely and say thank you to cover the crushing feeling of bitter disappointment. :P
Seriously though I do like the idea of a ridiculous auction challenge. I would be up for it.
These are random fig creations courtesy of my kids.
Identify the parts!
