@karmajay - Out of interest, how different is it compared with previous models of the Naboo Starfighter if you have any of them? I am studying the images and cannot see a great deal of difference beyond the addition of a bit more bulk underneath.

I am just getting started on the Elves Treetop Hideaway.

This is the first one I've purchased. Looking at images of #7877. It does look pretty similar. This one does have some extras as far as stairs, fueling station and the stand (which is very cool). If I had the previous one I'm not sure I would have purchased this one.

Just finished building my Fairy Bricks exclusive set, if you haven't ordered one I suggest you hurry up before they sell out!

Started on the Helicarrier and after 3 hours have about 25% done (3 out of 12 bags). Beginning to realize how big this build really is.
How are you getting on?  Enjoying it?

I'm now at 5 bags finished and 4 hours in, but feel like I got a long way to go. Only the bottom cabin and one rotor assembly up to this point.

It's just HUGE in the flesh! Not just long and flat, but has substantial mass to it. The fuselage is a solid log, it would stay intact from a decent fall.

Realised I'm never winning the bat-pod contest so built my own from #76012 :)

@Legoboy I made a strong push and got up to finishing Bag 10 last night. At this point, the carrier with the deck is complete and boy is she a beauty! Still have the Upper Deck and Control Tower to go. I think you'll be impressed with this one once you get a crack at it.

I picked up all three 'Glowkies' from Argos for the exclusive Glow-In-The-Dark elements and I will be building a MAX model tonight before I part them out for MOC's. If it all runs smoothly I will upload a picture tomorrow :)

^ There are only four GITD elements among the three sets (five if you count the extra 1x1 tile). I don't mean to rain on your parade, just thought I'd mention it in case you haven't yet opened them and are expecting GITD cheese slopes.

To be honest, it's not a set that excites me.  I've had a play with it at a friend's place but can't bring myself to push the button.  That's why I was asking how you found it, because I really can't see the attraction.  I might have to borrow one.  :)

I'm desperate to build something and will, one day.  And when that time comes, it shall be the Tumbler.

^Hard to see what's not to like about it? If you were into GI Joe or military in general, then it's as close as we're ever gonna get to it. And if you were good at MOC'ing, then this would be the natural start of a real Aircraft Carrier or Super Defense Fortress (SDF-1).

Between this and the Tumbler, the Helicarrier is a bit ahead of the Tumbler. However, considering the difference in price and number of parts, that's a testament to how great the Tumbler really is. Unless you throw in a Bat-Pod, then it would be Bats over the Carrier.

I've suddenly gotten the bug to build a classic space-inspired monorail. The problem is, I don't own any monorail sets or parts, and I'd like to do it on a budget as much as possible. I've looked at Bricklink prices, and I think I could justify a small round track and the bases for the monorail, but I'm not liking the pricing and availability of the monorail motor (no less than $50!). I'm wondering if there's anyway I could motorize a monorail with power functions instead.

@binaryeye I was only after the eyes, thanks for letting me know anyway. It's a real shame that the cheese slopes aren't glow-in-the-dark. The eye pieces are exclusive so it was not worth missing out.

Today's build #70708 Hive Crawler, thanks @monkey_roo for the set :)

@matticus_bricks Google "brick built monorail" I haven't spent any time looking into it but my husband has all sorts of plans. I believe some of them are using all currently available parts.

I want the hive crawler, I keep delaying buying it cause I found some nice deals in french shops.

Just finished building: #8635: Mobile Command Centre, have to say it is awesome.
So many nice little touches and so much play value, and brilliant light brick use.  My boys are very happy :-)

Don't think I have built anything with so much going on and so many play features.

The #8635 Mobile Command Centre is a very cool set. I constantly watched reviews and gazed at pictures of this model for days and days (even to this day I wish I owned it) :/

Just finished 21108 Ghostbusters. No stickers, which is great. I'm assuming that they printed everything directly to the pieces because the set was designed to appeal to the non fanatic, and not "us". I'm not complaint though. Tomorrow will either be my Tumbler or Super Star Destroyer.

Finished the Riddler Chase (76012) last night.  Not totally enthused with the Riddler's vehicle but the figures and batmobile are neat.

I built #60095 Deep sea exploration vessel last night. I actually really enjoyed the build. This was one of those sets that was fun to build. It never got tedious . It looks great aswell. Only real gripe I have is the poor use of space on the ship. The bottom room is a great addition but it could really use a room under the bridge for scuba storage.

My self and the wife have just started on the Ewok Village which is proving a fantastic build. Now my wife has claimed it as hers so I'm only "assisting" as I have been firmly told!!
To balance the books I am also building Ecto 1 :)
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827
I have to say mate, Ewok Village bored the he'll put of me.  Looking forward to seeing your Ecto when it's done.

In honour of the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we are building the #42039 Technic 24 Hour racer. It's the first technic set we've built since we were kids and it's been great fun, really enjoying it.

In the process of building an moc wizards tower from several 2001 harry potter sets that I bought 2nd hand in a lot on local auction site.
First moc I am building since 25+ years.

Its more difficult then I did anticipate,i used to build moc,s on the fly as a kid, without any premade plan even for huge ones. But now I feel I need to have a pretty accurate image in my head of how the final outcome should look. Past days it has been more thinking then building I have to admit, but it is slowly coming together

Now that I have almost all of the Friends sets that I was looking for, it's time to start building them. I think I'm going to start with the beach settings, including Dolphin Cruiser, Stephanie's Beach House, the Heartlake City Lighthouse and Emma's Lifeguard Post in addition to the small beach polybags and water scooters.

Just a few weeks after deciding I definitely  wasn't going to buy a Tower Bridge, I bought and built a Tower Bridge. Also made a few more cars to fill it up. Such a beautiful set when finished, glad I went for it after all.

One of my all time favourites. It is a really fantastic set. I've just built the Piggy Bank :-) He's so cute!

Finished the beach sets for Friends. Now I'm working on the jungle sets as I'm going to put the jungle behind the beach. I'm trying to finish these off this weekend since I go back to work on Monday and won't have time for LEGO next week.

I just finished my first Friends set, #41097 and I loved it! The colors just make me so happy! My problem with most of the Friends' sets is the open back of the buildings/houses, but the hot air balloon set doesn't have that problem and will fit in our city perfectly! :D

I finished #10193 Medieval Market Village last night, and it's a lovely set.  I just came out of my dark ages six months ago, so it was a relief to find it at a (somewhat) reasonable price.

Still need to work on yellow, dark green, and clear. OK, OK purple and pearl gold, too.

But you get the point. :)

Where did you get the clear minifig?

Just bought some tables and Sterilite containers at Walmart...Still need a lot more.  Been spending the last several months sorting bricks.  I only have about 1/4 of my pieces, hopefully when I go on Leave in July I can get the rest of them from my parents house. Here's the beginning of my setup though:

Did a little improvising tonight - loved the Green Goblin from #10687 (and the little police quadbike, as it turned out) but I wanted a less Juniors-looking glider. I went through a couple of larger Raimi-inspired ones with more techy gubbins before I stripped it back to a minimalist comic version:

(I did have to clip off the little thin peg on the flame to get it to fit via the thicker peg into the pumpkin; I do feel awkward doing that to a Lego piece, but it was for a good cause I think.)
