Half of the Double VIP order. Palace Cinema and Parisian Restaraunt are still on backorder. And that concludes the disposable portion of my share of the family tax refund. :)

Purple? Nice! Definitely not an overused color in the Modular Buildings.

Yeah! I'm kind of jazzed. I was going to go with the light yellow, but felt that medium lavender would be such a nice touch with the earth blue. It needed to be done since my Green Grocer is going to wind up being sand blue and everything else has blue.

I was hiding it from my wife. She knows only about Ariels and Wookie ( 2 more orders coming which she is aware of ). I had to take photos fast while she was in bathroom :).

Medium lavender! That is such a great color. Cheers on your color palette choice. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I just bought the farm animals from #7189 Mill Village Raid (2 goats, a spotted pig, 1 dark and 2 white chicken) for $22 plus shipping, and actually consider that a good deal.. Lego really needs to re-release the goats, as the price they sell for is ridiculous!  (and yet, apparently I really NEEDED goats for my farm. :/ )

  • mr.pigglesmr.piggles Member Posts: 325
I was wondering if there were goats! I work on a farm on weekends (as a way to blow off steam from my stressful day-job), and I've been fantasizing about building a brick model of where I work. Horses and goats included! I just never remembered to search for them when I'm at a computer.

... It seems like I'm changing the color of my Green Grocer from sand blue to medium azure. I keep coming up short on sand blue stocks. So I just bought a boatload of medium azure bricks.

I agree with @maniac, pics when complete @mr.piggles, it would be interesting to see how it compares to the original with the colour change.
  • mr.pigglesmr.piggles Member Posts: 325
I'll do my best! Parts are still coming in from all over, I'm so ready to build! I think I'm going to miss the grooved bricks on the front, as they do add some nice architectural detailing.

@mathew $209. I'm somewhat expecting a big ziploc bag with a flap of the box.

Honestly, I've gotten a bunch of sets from Amazon Warehouse. The only thing generally wrong is that the box isn't pristine. Like, scuffs and dings. Most of the things I've gotten via Amazon warehouse have been in better condition than things I've gotten from eBay sellers, and you'd never know if not for the Amazon Guarantee Sticker.

@grounded as soon as you get it in you mind posting pictures. I have never purchased from amazon warehouse and have been worried. I have an amazing deal showing arctic Basecamp for only 32$ but of course I am skeptical.

@BACbrix I will for sure. I plan on building this, so if it is complete, I'll be thrilled.

@mr.piggles Good to hear! Hope I'm as lucky.

My experience of amazon warehouse has been a good one. The boxes often have very minimal marks on them. Only once did I get the set and the box was in quite a bad shape but the discount was much higher. All bags were sealed and everything inside.

@77ncaachamps Miami FL Craigslist. Her asking price for both was 20 and I said I would do $30 and drive 2 hrs to her.
