@LostInTranslation I contacted Huw and he has fixed it. I remember having problems posting and it mentioned that it has to be checked by a moderator before its posted. I must have clicked them post button several times. Dope!

Too many offers floating around right now!
How many Olivia's houses do a girl need when they're 74% off? Can I resist the AT-TE / Ariel's magical kiss combo for 50% ?

My status should be: Spending too much time & energy on thinking about LEGO shopping.

Nothing to do with LEGO but seeing the bomb disposal team working away from my office window makes for a more interesting day.

Yep - I overlook the building with the explosives. So can see the bomb disposal team and their little robot. Which they've just driven back into their van.

I'm trying so hard to avoid the Age of Ultron sets, as I'm not much of a Super Heroes guy, but after I saw the new trailer on twitter... Hulkbuster and the Quinjet, and maybe the two Hydra sets so I can round out the entire Avengers team.

Anybody want to sway me in this direction?

Well I would only go for the four sets, just to have the entire team.

Besides, the Helicarrier isn't an issue... hehe

OK for a Marvel fan like me it's hard not to get the whole line for all the figures. I would use the pieces to make my own versions of the sets or other MOC's besides the Helicarrier!

I can't speak. I bought all the sets and the helicarrier

Just made my first purchase at BrickOwl.  I like it!  Need to get used to the organization/catalog but being able to checkout and pay without waiting for an invoice is quite liberating.

Doing nothing with Lego lately  :'( Instead I'm fully engaged in computer data and network reorganization.  It is making me cranky.  However, I am getting everything off my current main computer that *feels* like it might die soon and setting up a better backup plan.

I need to send the US Federal Government documentation that my youngest daughter and I are citizens of the US. This is totally ridiculous. I am really tempted to replace my drivers license photo with Jar Jar Binks with a note that reads "I know I'm an alien, but I am a documented alien."

Here's the notice sent to me:

I read a comment, i think from Mark Stafford, that one of the hardest parts of developing an in-house space theme was making the ships not look like star wars ones. That inspired me towards my latest project, star wars meets Blacktron.
I love this. We need a SW meets Classic Space* competition or just plain MOC week/month sometime soon.

*(including Blacktron, M-Tron, Spaec Police, all those guys).

Just mindlessly reading comments about the Kwik-E Mart set on the main site, whereupon I reach a footnote mentioning Terry Pratchett's death... *wrench*.
Having not watched the news yesterday and taken an early night, I had no idea. Immediately googled and saw it confirmed on the BBC. *wrench again*

I've been reading pratchett since my teens, so for some 25 (or something) years. Impossible to know the influence he's had on me. 'Some' at the very least I should say, if not significantly so (of the which i more suspect).
I forget how often i've cried laughing at a turn of phrase or some such image he unexpectedly popped into my head with just a few masterly positioned words. Or the times I've admired the searing argument blazing through the held-to-account absurdities of the world, occasionally dipped into a honey-pot of wry humour just to take the sting off and show there's heart behind the glare, and all wrapped in a fabulously entertaining story (against the backdrop of a thousand elephants). Deft touches.

And i probably have him to thank for my even being able to string a handful of words together at all. It's going to be difficult reading the next book on my list without just crying.

I share your loss, @legomatt. I started reading Discworld shortly after Mort came out, back in my teens, and Sir Terry's characters have grown - and occasionally, grown UP - with me. I only met him once, at a signing (for "Interesting Times" in Books Etc, Victoria Street), and took four copies for him to sign. Most just had variations on "best wishes! Terry Pratchett" written on them, but when I told him the last was a present for my sister, whose birthday is Christmas Day, he wrote "Dear Heidi, your brother's a cheapskate. Happy Birthday, Terry Pratchett". She still treasures the book, and I will always treasure the memory. RIP, sir.

    ^ well done.

Built the birds set this last weekend (well I got to build the one left when i came home from the NSC) and blimey they are brilliant. They're great builds, look fantastic and even inspirational (I also came home to a couple of home made birds produced by my 8 year old which are probably the best he's done). Not sure now which is my favourite ideas set so far: ecto-1 or birds... tough decision.

Broke down and purchased the Helicarrier off of eBay. When it comes to UCS sets, I'm not to interested in figures/microfigures. So I bought it without the figures/stand and saved $100.

The seller even through in the complete set of power functions. Excited to get this one built!

I bought some nice sets the other day, and the lady said "A lot of people have been asking about these. You know, I think grown-ups collect this stuff too!"
    Me: "Yeah..."

I feel mother to mother conversations about LEGO doesn't really work for me.
