Is LEGO KidsFest Adult Friendly?

Just wondering if adults are welcome to attend without children. Additionally, is it even a worthwhile event for AFOLs?

Not sue if adults can attend without kids, but imho, it wouldn't be worth it. I brought my kids and we all found it a bit boring. The activities are geared towards kids; there are no giveaways of any significance; and the displays are nothing you haven't seen before.

I wouldn't go without younger kids. We went to the one in Indianapolis this fall, and my kids (4 and 6) loved it. They brought home several polybag sets and had a lot of fun at the games and activity centers. My 14 year old nephew was definitely "too old" for it. Wouldn't recommend it for just an AFOL

Cool- thanks guys! One is coming near me and my wife and I (no kids) were thinking about making the trip...doesn't sound like it would be worth it.

Any other experiences with the KidsFest? We have one coming to a local venue and don't want to waste precious time on it if it's a bust. The card does say it has activities for the entire family.

The card we received says we can use the mailer to get a free Lego exclusive surprise. If it's the Electro polybag, then we would definitely make the trip...

I'm considering going to the one in Phoenix later this month, but just don't know if it is worth spending $100+ for the family to go. I'd love to find some hard-to-find/retired items at the store there, but I'm skeptical I would. Anyone know of the possibilities of this?
