    Ordered 2 of the Birds set. We'll see when they arrive.

    Also got the Architecture Studio. Glad to see that available again. I think it is unique.

    Update (Germany):
    Set page now live, but still "coming soon" as status.
    Making progress! Let's see how many hours it takes until I'm able to finally put it in my cart and then if the checkout process works.
    Text is in English btw... but that is fine for me as long as I'm able to buy it it could be written in Chinese or whatever.

    I just ordered Detective Office, Birds, and the Boba Fett keychain. When I was in the checkout process, it did list DO and Birds as "in stock," whereas on the website, I saw the same "30 days" as everyone else.

    I normally don't buy modulars right when they are released, but DO looks amazing to me. I can't really identify why, I'm a fan of nearly all the modulars.

    Also: do people think that the Birds set will be super popular? I didn't see it as having as broad appeal as Research Institute or Minecraft...

    I don't find the birds as appealing as I thought I would. They are a little pricey too. They will probably look super once built. I only bought 2 sets, whereas I bought multiples of the R.I. and the Rover, because I really like those.

    Grabbed the detectives office today, my first modular, my cherry has been broken. Now I want the palace cinema next, will probably get that once rumblings about selling out are more prevalent.

    I am not an expert, but you might want to get Pet Shop first as it could be the next one to go.

    I'd say Pet Shop too! It is my favourite modular and because the two small houses it can be made into look awesome in a street line up. Not sure how to describe it, but I guess you get my point.

    Update: Still coming soon, I guess that it my price for saying "soon" too often to my Mum if she asks me to do something for her. Now I know how she feels... ;-)

    Other people recover from being hungover because of New Years today, I spend the day waiting for LEGO to fix their shop and let me buy the damned birds.

    @Chubbles I agree with the others, Pet Shop is my favorite modular, and one that would likely retire before the Cinema. Also: I just started building the Cinema today!

    I'm going to chime in and say the Pet Shop is also the best out of my collection. Love the little details of the town house.

    ^ I will end up calling customer service in the morning to see if I can add #41087 Bunny & Babies to my order. Not worth buying separately with the cost of shipping even with the free poly bag, but if they can add it to my existing order that would certainly be worthwhile. What a rough day for [email protected]
    Oh, and #21301 Birds is still available with limit of 5, so I guess the reseller crowd isn't rushing after this one.

    Final Update
    Ordered the birds without any problems just a couple of minutes ago.
    (Two Minecraft sets, The Birds, Brikely Keychain and one pack of the new Minifigs.)

    Valentines Day set is already visible, ordering that as soon as it becomes available, paying for the shipping instead of the extra costs when it is sold out. (Don't have the money to reach free shipping everytime.)

    I think I managed to click on that (assuming it's the same thing) last night - iirc, it said order on the 1st or 2nd for an entry to a competition to win 2 places on this years Inside Tour.

    I called customer service this morning. The poor rep had no idea what had happened to the site yesterday, so I gave her a short update. Her response was "I guess I'm going to be apologizing a lot today." She did give me free shipping on the friends set I would have ordered had they been available yesterday when I placed my order, so that did make me happy. Also, no haunted houses in stock according to her, even though the site said call to check for availability. She said no so fast that I'm not sure she actually checked though.

    Wow, if that's true, it just boggles my mind that LEGO would announce a month-long promo for the AT-DP in what is arguably their biggest theme (SW), in a month where they are releasing loads of 2015 sets, plus the UCS Slave 1 that will get a lot of attention, just to run out of the polybag on day 1.

    Oddly, I 100% caved to the lure of Detective Office and Birds, and grabbed a SW keychain yesterday so I can get the AT-DP. We'll see if it arrives...

    I'm wondering if the rumored 'toy shop' for WV next year is actually a toy factory for the Elves (to go with Santa's Workshop)

    I thought the big rumor was a Xmas train for next year. Please say we aren't already in rehash mode with WV. But as much as I like the original Toy Shop, it has very little play value from the inside.

    And given one of the holiday freebies was a mini Elves Workshop, would they really do a bigger version of that for next year?

    FYI: I just got a shipping confirmation on the sets that had originally said "In stock in 30 days" when I ordered them on Shop @ Home:

    So hopefully [email protected] is catching up from the strange behavior earlier this week.

    A WV Train would take that series to an entirely different level of collecting with train enthusiasts.

    Just got shipping notice of the DO I ordered on the 1st. AT-DP was included with the key chain I ordered. I wonder if we will see the AT-DP come back once the dust settles?
