While at Brick2014 on the Friday I got two free LEGO Club Max figures and two Batman's. At TRU I got the Ninjago and Rocket Racoon ploybags for free when I purchased two collectable minifigures. Which works out £1 per minifigure, thanks to @caperberry for the heads up.
Yesterday I found two odd panels, then found the manual, then when I registered the set on Brickset I noticed it seemed very rare and on high demand. A few searches on the Internet informed me that I had one of the rarest Lego set and that I could be making some money if I decided to sell it. The prices seem ridiculous and I don't plan to sell for the moment, but still a good find in my own basement. Price paid: 7.99 in the 1980s and a lot of wait...
...but sadly enough i wasn't busy with collecting yet... and i opened it. D:
BARGAIN ! :)
Found a Uruk-Hai Army at Target today. Standard retail price, but I hadn't seen one on shelves in a long time. Must've been a return.
I will post a pic when I can.
If you also got a green point for using your own bag, Tesco paid you 2p to take it from them :) :) :)
I purchased a LEGO toy fair item on eBay a few weeks ago. I received it in the mail, along with a nice bonus. Two excellent condition 2013 new york toy fair lanyards.
Debating wether I should get two more...
When you visit peoples homes you never know what to expect. This home was like a wee museum, with lots of vintage everything. The only newish item I saw, was a massive 2 by 1 meter dollhouse complete with furniture. Odd to see such a big dollhouse in a tiny living room... If you have four grand I believe your daughters will be happy next christmas... I should of taken a photo of it.
All in all a good deal. I was happy and the lady was happy. I was even given a vintage teddy bear that is 80 years old. However I do feel slightly guilty for not paying more, but I suppose if I had not bought it, she would have sold it to somebody else.
Got Lego movie ice cream trucks for $10 and superheros Malibu attack for $15
Was lucky and was standing there as they were being marked down
