Well, I was unable to find series 13 at Target, though I did find a solution to why Brick Seek reported over 300 CMFs. They had at least 8 full boxes of series 12 at $1.99 each! In my excitement I bought 25, unsure if I should have bought more, and subsequently forgot t ask about the Frozen set. Ah well, I guess I'll just let it go for now. *prepares to be assaulted with tomatoes for making that pun*

I found some this morning, and there's definitely a bonus figure or something after all. On the back of the posters there's a bunch of gift boxes with question marks popping out of them and a code you enter online at LEGO.com/minifigures and there's a disclaimer that it's not recommended for children under 3 because it contains small parts. Unlike the codes from Series 12, the codes aren't the same with every like figure. Or, I guess it could be something for the online game (which would make the warning odd). Can't wait for January 1st to find out!

I'm surprised to see these popping up but yet to see a pre-order on ebay for boxes.

Using the BrickSeek inventory checker, I see two Targets near me with over 600 in stock. Now that should be Series 12 and (potentially) 13 combined as they use the same DCPI, but that seems very high either way... Wonder if they overstocked series 12, or if they just have a lot of 13 in the back? Haven't made it to either one yet to ask, so I have no idea what they have out at this moment.

Which store (e.g., what side of town)? I have a friend in Houston right now who was unable to find them after checking a couple of Target stores.
  • wayneggwaynegg Member Posts: 394
Houston area is more like. If your friend doesn't mind driving south about 45 minutes THEYRE at the Lake Jackson store. The odd thing was there was only one Disco Diva in the whole display.

First of all, the codes in Series 12 were all unique. I speak from experience, as I was (and am) quite a fan on the online game, going so far as to purchase the entire series. (Shameless plug: If anyone doesn't plan to use their codes, or has extra, feel free to PM me)

Secondly, you can find a great deal of information about the "Collect & Win" contest at http://www.lego.com/en-us/minifigures/terms-conditions. Luckily for those of us who are CMS completionists, the prizes are just 17 large retail sets distributed in a random raffle fashion. No exclusive or bonus figures this time around. *whew*

I admit I play the game way more than any adult probably should... Looking forward to series 13 Hot Dog guy in game. will go nicely with Chicken Suit Guy for a fast food team.

I have logged over 15 days of time in-game according to the total time played macro. I'd say you're still safe admitting to playing the game. By the way, what's your character's name and friend code, for the sake of posterity?

    @Dedgecko‌ $4.32 each in all

@ProfessorBrickkeeper‌ odd. All the Spooky Girls I bought had the same exact code. And thanks for the info!

I found series 13 at local Target. The only 2 I want are the unicorn and hotdog guy. Well, the. Disco guy, too.

Because I am neither good at feeling them, and am not interested in army building, I think it might actually be cheaper to just wait and get them on Ebay or BL, instead of buying a bunch that I don't really want. At $4 a pop, it adds up fast.

My Target had a full display rack with half 12 and half 13. Didn't buy any because they are 3.99 and I'm not buying at that price.

I can't speak to the Unicorn or disco figures, but the hot dog figure is pretty easy to find. It's just one large round blob that is as tall as a mini figure.

I have only paid full price for a few series 2 fig all other figs I got at a discount and will not be paying 3.99 for 13. 3.99 is just too much.
  • wayneggwaynegg Member Posts: 394
^So get them to price match a competitor like Walgreens who's selling them for $3.19?
  • VaderXVaderX Member Posts: 220
^True leg work is required for finding the at a discount. Target had series 12 marked at 2.99 for a week or two plus redcard discount. If a lot are left at TRU they sometimes mark them 2 for 5.

My wife has an app that she gets points for going to various stores and scanning various items. Those points are then redeemable for things. In our case, we're trading them in for Target gift cards which we're saving to receive a free Sandcrawler in the next few months. In three days we've already made $12 towards our goal. If you're wanting to save money on minifigs, there's nothing like free.

What's the name of the app?

How much time is involved scanning items to receive "free" LEGO?

Right. I felt all of them and didn't find the hotdog guy. But when we go to LegoLand on NYE, I will have time and enough bags to ensure success.

What Legopassion said. And not much. Most of the points come from simply walking into the store. I signed up last night after my wife referred me so we could double our points and get a 50% bonus for two weeks and was rewarded with enough points to get an additional $20 in gift cards. A tenth of the way there!

Can someone who has been fortunate enough to find them in Target reconfirm that they are using the dcpi #204-00-0261 for series 13 as well as 12. The number will be on the receipt.
  • wayneggwaynegg Member Posts: 394
I used the upc, 673419231510, since it's unique to Series 13 whereas the dcpi is the same for all Minifigures.
  • Ladder19JTKLadder19JTK Member Posts: 222

Looking for dcpi off of receipt
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
It's going to be the same DPCI as posted.
  • Ladder19JTKLadder19JTK Member Posts: 222
See, I find that odd. Mainly because the item description for that DCPI specifically states "Building Set Minifig Series 12". More specifically, when an employee checks for the item using the UPC, inventory amounts differ from the Series 12 DCPI inventory.

I just found Series 13 CMF at a Target in my area. The receipt just says Building Set and uses the #204-00-0261 code. They had Series 12 & 13 mixed together on a rack hanging at the end of the aisle/same price $3.99
The packs are a bit tougher to feel,I'm not sure why it seems that way but the seam on the back of the packs is sealed down flat in comparison to the Series 12 where you could pull on the seam & get a little more wiggle room trying to feel the packs.

I managed to find 2 Hotdog Guys,Goblin,Galaxy Trooper,King,Disco Diva,Evil Wizard & Unicorn Girl.I was trying to find a Cyclops & Snake Charmer but gave up out of frustration after feeling almost every pack they had out.I was also hoping to find the Paleontologist to go along with my Research Institute but no luck.Judging by what I ran across I think they only had 1 box out.

Series 13 appeared in Chicago; Van Buren & Racine. Found about 30 scattered among the shelves; they had presumably been rejected for not being Unicorns or Hot Dogs. The display rack was on the floor, ransacked. Kind of sad looking, actually.

Snake Charmer- feel for the 3x stick with minifig legs (Evil Wizard has robes)

    Cyclops- feel for club

Paleontologist- feel for 1x1 flat round tile or bone

    Hope that helps ;)
