I just bought Winter Village Market (with the intention of swapping out the white plates for green and adding them to my Mixer fair layout).

I'm in the process of hunting down a couple of Indiana Jones and older Agents sets and the last handful of cmfs I need for my collection.

Just bought #10232 Palace Cinema, £99 from Toys R Us. It was a store transfer I initiated 8 weeks ago when the set was discounted, but not in stock in my local store. And yesterday it finally arrived! I'm trilled at how big the set is. Cant wait to start building :D

Bought #21113 and #21114 for my CFOL yesterday. I really can't see the fascination myself... He already had the micro build ones, but this has taken Minecraft to a new level for him.

Picked up #70728 Battle for Ninjago City on Saturday. I used my 500 point damaged box voucher and 200 additional VIP points, so got it for about $85, with double VIP earned on that. My girlfriend was with me and saw #850949 Christmas Snow Hut Ornament and thought it was cute and appropriate since this will be our first Christmas in our house that we bought a few months ago, so we might go back and pick that up.

Ricecake......how does the damaged box voucher work. I just got a Tower Bridge with a crushed box and I was thinking of returning it. But I hate to go through all the trouble and Lego's expense just because of a box. However it does effect resale value. I'm sure the contents are ok.

Just go in a store (or phone customer service) tell them you've got a damaged TB box which although all there etc will dent it's resale value (they'll probably appreciate the pun too) when you sell it on ebay. Might be good to give them an example of the sort of reduction you've experienced before due to a dented box. Make sure you tell them how much money you spend as well, they'll appreciate big spending customers more. They'll then give you some extra vip points or a special card to use.

Just started listing the parts I'm going to need for my first ever attempt at a large scale MOC...I think just acquiring all the parts I want for it is going to take me a few years :-(

I'm trying very hard to boycott new Star Wars stuff due to Disney, who I've hated for many years. 2015 will be extremly hard on me. :-) The designs are getting so much better then in years past.

I missed out on the whole Harry Potter run... so my mission is to rescue an unloved kit per month. Its a whole boxset OR a rare minifigure of a kit I could otherwise not afford.

I also love the Lego Movie... and see 3 for 2015 that I must have reguardless of cost.

Otherwise I design my own stuff and buy loose bricks, trying to stay inside budget. :-) That is always a challenge. hehe

I saw those for sale on Bricklink I think, but I couldn't justify the massive price for an ex-display cloth banner that I would probably be too embarrassed to put up anyway. XD

No embarrassment here. I rather enjoy it. To each their own I guess.

Sure. I'm in a shared student house though. It probably depends on which banner though - some of them (that I remember) were pretty tasteful, and others less so.

Hi, sorry I didn't see this message earlier. I created a thread detailing my experience with it here. In short, I got mine from an in-store transaction, not online, so I didn't have to worry about shipping anything or taking pictures; there were signs up around the store advertising the damaged-box bonuses. I don't resell, so I can't offer any advice on that front.

Found a tumbler at the Lego store today so I bought it. Darn shame I couldn't have found it last week for double points. Also looking for the RI still they haven't gotten a shipment in for the third straight week.

I managed to score the Benny SSS for 80 at wm today. Thank you who ever talked about the unmarked sale!!!

I am probably going to wait until I get the desk in my room so I have a way to shut out the cats b4 building it.

Bought SSD #10221 from Amazon.es (direct) for $450 shipped on Tuesday. It was on backorder at the time I bought it, so we'll see if it actually ships or not. Unfortunately (for me), they only let me buy one.

That's $800 each on average. Pretty sure that's a little below value for all of them, so you'd probably save a few hundred. Do it, if you want it, but make him an offer first. Good luck! :)

On bricklink I've been buying up the "wing" wedge plates for classic space vehicles, with a spin. I'm buying those "wings" in every color except light grey. It is kind of fun seeing the space guys/gals flying around in blue, red, yellow, orange, light blue, dark orange... etc colored space ships. My favorite so far is a black and blue version of #6861 (X1 Patrol Craft).

"Space Police" version! I always liked that color scheme.

@Oldfan, I was going to make an all-blue version, but somehow ordered 5 of the right wing and 3 of the left (shrugs)... so I found myself using my overflow of black pieces instead. I wasn't thinking space police II at the time, but now looking back at those sets (original space police used a lot of black and green), I am thinking I might bring in a small bit of trans-red, as I see space police II did so. Thanks for getting me to look at those sets for more inspiration :D

^ I think you've got it reversed. The original Space Police was black, blue, and trans red. Space Police II was black, gray, and trans green.

could be. I went into my dark ages just before Space Police arrived, and the sets I have now came from purchasing collections from people I know who were never coming out of their dark age :( poor sad people :(
