Such a letdown. Guess I'll keep my eyes open for short term sales before and after Christmas.

Wow, that is disappointing, especially when last year their door buster LEGO BF deals were pretty nice.
I guess the silver lining is more money for Cyber Monday

Man, last year's Town Square deal was so good, sad to see this year's. I was hoping for the Ice Breaker or Heartlake Mall set for around $75...

50% off Galaxy Squad! Sweet, I have been waiting for that for ages!

^Don't forget the TRU tax. Though it's not as bad as usual on most of these sets, they have #70705 at $20 above RRP. (And if you're comment was sarcastic... touche!)

I wasn't in the game last year, so I don't know what their doorbusters were; anyone care to share what they were?

I'm hoping that this year there is some good in the weeks between because I'd love to pick up some movie sets and the Funhouse Escape plus a couple of others from TRU or Target or whomever decides they want to sell them cheap...

There actually were several great deals last year. Sad that nothing special has surfaced so far this year.

Yeah loved Town Square at its discount last year, and that I could find them at 10am and did not kill myself to get up earlier to find them.
The only silver lining though is I do not have to agonize about getting up at 4am to get to a store for their door buster.

^ I went at 5 am last year, and was the only person there picking up a town square. Didn't even think to ask if I could have bought more than 1, as that was a really good price and had a gift card offer as well for spending that amount. Makes this year's offers seem pretty pathetic.

Whilst I do really like GS, I already bought most of these for 50% or more and fighting to get more at 50% off TRU price is meh.

That is current? Unless they have a lot of GS stock in the back, my local TRU had ZERO GS sets on the shelf. I haven't seen those for a really long time.

    ^Mine has a ton.

Mine still has the Palpatine's arrest in bulk which the tried to GIVE away last year.

Tried and succeeded. Here's hoping TRU/FAO does another round of "buy an exclusive and get a free set of significant size and/or value."

The TRU website shows the normal price for #70706 as $14.99. If they're selling for $7.49, that's not a bad deal at all. The website also shows the normal price for #70707 as $39.99. I'd buy that for $20. Also, #70701 is listed for $21.99. I've been wanting to pick another one up and would definitely do so for $11.

I'll have to stop by my local store to see what their normal prices are for these.

Agreed, just commenting on how dead TRU in-store stock happens to be.

YES! It's what I've been waiting for all year, and I've been such a good boy.

That's exactly what I was really hoping for - the Ice Breaker for around $75. I really want that set. Won't spend $130. Will spend $75-$90.

^Agreed. That is a weird pricepoint for that set

I would rather have a sharp object jammed into my eye socket than try to hit our local TRU BF sale. It's the anti-shopper's perfect storm: bad prices, bad location, and bad crowds.
