We bought a good amount of Lego Technics today and know we have a good portion of the Mercedes Unimog #8110. How many bags of each number?
  • chuckpchuckp Member Posts: 684
@AFFOL_Shellz_Bellz I just received my Unimog from TRU today and here's what it has:

    7x #1 bags
    5x #2 bags
    1x #3 bag
    3x #4 bags
3x misc. bags for the battery box, motor and pneumatic pieces
Plus the 4 tires and rims.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Here is a photo of all the bags and hopefully you can separate them.

@legofanfromleeds, you can check the thread "How many bags" and also the bricklink inventory page, where it shows the # of booklets (also the weight if you want to compare).
  • legofanfromleedslegofanfromleeds Member Posts: 418

    @legofanfromleeds

I don't have any specific answers to hand, but don't the instructions tell you which bag to open at each stage? If you flick backwards through booklet 2, you should eventually come to a numbered bag illustration, which would be the final bag for the final stage.

  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ The instructions don't tell you how many of each numbered bag there are though.

Thanks for the advice and your quite correct about the numbered bags..they tally with the book but also loose in the box where x3 plates...I just have my fingers crossed that nothing else loose in the box as escaped in transit ..so thats realy what i should be asking the community ie what wasnt in a bag when opened

I hadn't thought of that. Is there often multiples of same-numbered bags? I don't recall.

Anyone know how many bags for @7783, I purposed one with the box very slightly open, but the bags appear intact, would like to check they are all there.
  • DaraghDaragh Member Posts: 363
Nobody? I have found reference to 19 and to 20 bags and even one reference to 21!
  • msandersmsanders Member Posts: 1,017
@Daragh I'm very jealous of your find. Have a look on youtube to see if one of the people doing a review on there empty the contents out before showing the build. You could weigh the box to see whether its what you should expect (see the Brickset #7783 for information)

^^ Looks like 21 bags plus 4 loose plates, a long tube and a sticker, two manuals. Here are the pictures of a review. Good luck:

Great thank you @JeffH, I hadn't found that review. Although my box is slightly open, it is barely enough to get the bags out so I didn't want to take them out until I know what to look for - here goes.... fingers crossed.
  • DaraghDaragh Member Posts: 363
Finally got the courage to open the box enough to get the bags out and found the instructions and sticker sheet a little creased and 19 bags. I am still not sure anything is missing though, the bags are all sealed and they are different to the pictures above, also my mountain pieces are all loose. The minifigures are all there so I can't see anyone bothering to pinch something else. Photos of my contents below.

Seeing the parts in the flesh I have discovered that I might have another 7783, although definitely incomplete, in a bulk lot I get recently and am still sorting :-)
  • JeffHJeffH Member Posts: 173
^ It is definitely a different batch run as the content was definitely packaged differently but key parts can be identified.
  • DaraghDaragh Member Posts: 363
@JeffH I am going to hold off building and see how much of it I have in this bulk lot and then maybe keep the sealed bag set. Cheers.

I managed to get a #10227 reduced from Toys r us but it was a display box so is opened. Can anyone confirm what bags, stickers, loose pieces I should expect in this set?

    Cheers

Does anyone happen to know how many bags come with #7471 a friend of mine picked one up from a charity shop and would like to make sure the set is complete with possibly a view to selling it on.

Dear Bricksetters, can anyone help me out please? Does anyone happen to know how many bags in #10236 Ewok?

Just bought a used Ewok set from a local garage sale. Inside the box, there are bags opened and some are still sealed. Quite a few pieces are zip bags. Can't figure out how many pieces are missing here.

Please help? Thanks a lot in advance.
  • msandersmsanders Member Posts: 1,017
Have a look at the set on the Main brickset site. You can access the instructions, although it doesn't tell you how many of each bag, the numbers go up to 11. From my memory from building the set there are definitely some multiples of some of these bags, plus a couple of big bags containing the larger pieces.
  • Angel_CAngel_C Member Posts: 17
Thank you so much, Msanders. Will just do as advised.

Does the master list "Announcement" get updated from this thread? I keep forgetting to make note of this info when I part out sets or build.

Does anyone know how many bags are in Hogwarts set 5378? I bought one recently and not only does it appear light in the number of bags but some appear from different sets. Help please. If you know of where I can see a picture of the bags that would be very helpful. Thanks all!!

Do we have a bags inventory for #79018 The Lonely Mountain?

If i recall correctly (i'll double check later, and repost if i'm wrong).

    Mine came with:
1 cardboard-supported instruction booklet, with 1 small sticker sheet.
    6 numbered bags (1 to 6).
    2 loose-in-the-box rock pieces,
Smaug split across four(?) unnumbered clear baggies (Head/mouth, some Tail, Wings, Body).

Asking as my box appeared to have popped/tampered with seals (though nothing seems to be missing). Can anyone confirm inventory?
  • matticus_bricksmatticus_bricks Member Posts: 651
^ I had the same inventory in mine. I haven't built it though, as I bought the set for parts, but that seems to be everything.

    Cheers @matticus_bricks
Yep. I really only bought it for the dragon (I can't have a hobbit display with no smaug), but otherwise will build once, then probably demolish for parts too.

Haunted House I unpacked yesterday had 21 bags in it (I didn't think to count how much of each number before putting them in the bin).

    5x bag 3
    1x 32x32 red baseplate

  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454

  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,694
Call Lego and ask. What are they going to do? Tell you no is the worst.
