  Thanks, I thought that too but the lego shop website has a few things that are discountable there....like last year's tru black Fri thing and some other stuff. Just trying to plan ahead with double VIP points,or the elusive triple points...

  Also this I believe is only for the US. Other countries can still have sales/discounts on them.
  
  Also when they say no discount it means that LEGO nor other retailers can discount the sets, it does not mean you cannot use VIP points to cheapen the set. It just means that you will likely not seem them on sale/clearance any time soon anywhere.

  Yes, thank you - but I seem to remember a list floating around here somewhere a year or so ago. I am just strategizing the purchase of a death star which was out of stock on taxfree weekend here, and just thinking about what else to jusggle this month. Thanks

  The toy stores here in NZ tend to have all-inclusive 20-30% discounts, so that's also when I go crazy with Legos, especially with the large/exclusive/limited edition sets. Best deal was getting the Fire Brigade a few months back for NZD225.

  As stated above, it includes those that came out later and are Exclusive or Hard to Find. Thus, all modular are excluded, as well as most sets that we'd want!! Included in this exclusion are several Ideas sets:
  
  - The Research Institute
  - Ghostbusters Ecto-1
  - Exosuit
  
  However, some good news is that there are a few sets that cost more than $100 that are not on the list. For instance the new Cargo Train is not on the list.

  @red237, yes, thank you -- busy busy with plays (4 performances this last weekend, and back to rehearsal for the next show in November tonight!). And lots of Lego action too! Hope you're doing well too!

  Smaller "Hard to Find" labelled sets, like a Target or TRU exclusive in USA, would not be subject to this ban on discounts.
