Not sure which figures you mean, can you post a pic?

There is a bricklink seller that has about 50 of them. Be prepared to shell out about $550 for them though. They only come in one set and they are the key army builder from that set.

Thank You all for your feedback. Be prepared to see the doorway of The Paths of the Dead in about a month.

If you do manage to get a load go Soldier of the dead mini figures it'd be really funny to hide a couple of the generic lego ghosts or spongebob ghost minifigures in the crowd.

    Yeah that would.

It might also be a good option to source the individual parts of the soldiers. If for example, they are placed several figures deep, only the first row might need to have accurate legs or torso and you could get away with just a helmet and face on plain black or gray in the back to save cost.

    Aha! That's a great idea.

Thanks for the pic @andor unfortunately it's one of the few themes I don't have loads of spares for but I'll keep my eyes open for you

Looking forward to your take on this scene. It is one that has burbled in the back of my head for a MOC too. Unfortunately, buying many of #79008 Pirate Ship Ambush sets gets spendy. even on sale, and you end up with a bunch of those brown hull pieces.

Yeah I was think of buying a couple from Lego and use some VIP points and buy some from amazon. I think there selling some About $77.

I bought three 79008s on sale and managed to sell two of them without the minifigs for a good price. Apparently there are pirate/ship fans out there who don't care for LOTR. I've also bricklinked two of the sand green soldier helmets to demote my two extra kings of the dead into regular grunts, ending up with an "army" of 8 + the king.

    Wow that's awesome. I haven't been to a Lego store yet. :-(
