Lego or not? Almost looks like it belongs inside an assembly that's not to be taken apart...

50903, part of a Rhotuka spinner launcher. Most of the 2005 BIONICLE sets and a handful of 2006 sets used this part.

    H is a snowshoe from the old arctic-sets: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=30284&colorID=3&in=A

    Thanks @Norlego‌ and @beegeedee‌ .

I am wondering, for C4, for which minifig/set the cape came from? I am not sure how to search for cape on Brickset or Bricklink
  • NorlegoNorlego Member Posts: 449
Try system pirates. Loads of sets where they could come from. I think the figure is red/white or blue/white. Do you hace such figures? They need shoulder pads to.
Look for hats with small holes in them.

@mustnap - A2 is from #1239 Subzero. The first of the two pieces beside D is a Clone Trooper pauldron (included in #8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack among other sets).

C3 is from 8654: Scuderia Ferrari Truck. The newer sets are red, but I found the black one.... Racers sell badly, but Ferrari sets sell better.

Apologies for not having a picture yet but I found a piece in a box I bought on the weekend. It is basically an almost complete Jeep mild in green about 2 inches long, in inch wide. It has studs in the back and doesn't have wheels. I have looked on brickset peeron and googled for it but can't find any information. Anyone know the piece or which set it is from. Maybe a dino set?
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
    The jeep from #7628 maybe?
  • superstarbeejaysuperstarbeejay Member Posts: 121
I thought that might be it too but it isn't. The piece I have is a single piece of an almost complete jeep body. I'm wondering if it is from the dark era of Lego when they started making more traditional toys with a few studs thrown on.

    Any help identifying these torsos?

Also what is the deal with life jacket top right? It's a lego product but doesn't fit minifigure properly as head cannot be push down to meet torso??

The life jacket is this piece, and the fact that it doesn't allow the head to be pressed down fully is a frequent criticism — especially since this life jacket basically replaced the classic LEGO life jacket which, although bulkier, didn't have that problem.

@mustnap G1 and 4 also found in Castle Forestmen sets.

@adventure_al‌: Bottom right is Lord Sam Sinister's torso from the Orient Expedition subtheme of Adventurers.

Bottom left is interesting. It looks like Rascus from Knight's Kingdom II, but it has printing on the body itself, whereas I would expect, and in fact have examples in front of me where the (same) printing is on a breastplate which would go over the torso.

Top left might be a robber from recent City sets (his head is also from KKII, either Danju or king Matthias), top-second-from-left torso is a CMF Santa's Elf maybe? Third could be Dino Hunters.

Scrap the Jeep question. Looked properly tonight and it isn't Lego but a knockoff brand.

Hi, so I recently purchased a set on eBay and the seller included these bonus pirate minifigures. Can anyone identify them? The one in the striped shirt looks like pi131 from #852751 Pirates Chess Set but I didn't see one with green legs. Are they just constructed from various parts?

Those little guys are Definately mixed parts. The torsos are great though

This should be a fairly simple one, you would think however no such luck. I am looking for a minifig - female - with a Darkish Red - CORSET with a silver trim to the collar. I've checked stagecoach escape and Vampyre Castle and the print is wrong.

Its definitely lego not a clone from the join inside. Its not a sticker as its printed straight onto the torso.

All i'm wanting is links to sets that have this option. It suddenly turned up so god knows where my youngsters found it.
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831
It sounds like Rebecca Reid from #79111. Or maybe Ann Lee from #9462 and #9467.

Weird red power pack brick? Possible technic?

Feels heavy like a battery inside?

    Google provided no answers

  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
It's weight - just a lump of metal, not a battery or magnet I'm afraid. They used to put them in the bottom of the one-piece-hull floating boats to stop them from capsizing. (I don't know whether they still do - my only examples are from late 80s, early 90s)

Thanks you're a star. Think there would be any demand for it? no good to me happy to pass it on
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
I wouldn't think so. Not unless someone has a hull they want to use and no weight to put in it. It's kinda a one-use piece. But then again, you never know...maybe someone will need it to balance out some very precisely engineered MOC?
    adventure_al
  • beegeedeebeegeedee Member Posts: 380
Could be used as a counterbalance on a tower crane as well. I suspect you'd need a few though. Or a siege machine like a trebuchet a bit like this one: jkbrickworks.com/trebuchet/

Mind you, a few steel ballbearings or something similar would also do the job.

..maybe someone will need it to balance out some very precisely engineered MOC?

I have a weight brick in the back of this build to balance the cab: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/378308 It is especially helpful when the dipper bucket is raised.

@adventure_al, If you really want to find a new home for it, I'd be interested in it.
  • adventure_aladventure_al Member Posts: 243
@sirben given it's nominal value I'll probably keep hold. Unless you'd like me to cost postage but i don't know it'll be worthwhile as due to weight I could see it being a few pound

I'm looking for bricksets expertise again though. I'm sure that head is a harry potter but I can't place it?

Also torsos, in particular the bow tie and sweater.

If it seems I'm being lazy I assure you I'm not. I've already completed 12 figures from random mixed minifigure parts. The searching is time consuming and tiresome. I'm a bit stuck!

  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
Yeah, I think that head is Hermione. Maybe from the third (Prizoner of Azkaban) or fourth (Goblet of Fire) year sets. The first torso is from Rock Raiders, the middle one is the computer programmer CMF (I think) and the right hand one is a generic City one. Sorry I don't have set numbers - this is just off the top of my head!
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831

    It looks like Hagrid's, from #4707, #4709, and #4714.

thanks that is good enough for me. I've picked up quite a few joblots recently and its painstaking sorting through to make sure im not overlooking any hidden gems. Your help is much appreciated, thanks!

    Hi,
I'm just sorting through a job lot that I recently bought and wondered if any one could help me identify some of the minifigs that I have found amongst it.

I'm guessing a lot of them are mixed up pieces but if you could possibly give me any pointers or clues that will help me put them back together correctly that would be great!

  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
The tall ones at the left are from the Jack Stone theme (circa 2000ish) except the top one which is Max from a creator series. The middle row (torsos, at least) are all late 80's knights, except for the 5th, which is an Imperial soldier from the late 80's Pirates line, and the last one which is King Matthias from Knight's Kingdom II (2004). The whitish head on the third one is from Alpha Team (c2003). The first two on the third line are forestmen, also from late 80s Castle. That's all I can do off the top of my head!
  • mr_legomr_lego Member Posts: 8
Wow, that's fantastic! Thank you very much I really appreciate your help.

Ok really strange one it's an exact genuine lego cast of the Viking woman headpiece but completely transparent.

Have I stumbled across a prototype? Or prelim cast? Or was this part of an actual set??

  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
Where did you get it from? That might shed some light on it's provenance. I would say it could well be a prototype/prelim (do you have a photo of it and the normal one side by side to compare? Are they identical in shape?), but it might be from a clone brand. Sometimes they make Lego parts in weird colours, but I can't imagine why they would make transparent hair...
  • adventure_aladventure_al Member Posts: 243
It's Definately lego. Had the branding on the inside same as the coloured one.

I can take a photo side by side when home.

I've accumulated lots of random joblots of lego. (All genuine) and it was in amongst that.
