Multiple Mini Fig Incarnations - how many and who?

edited April 2012 in Collecting
This might be a short lived thread (apologies if it has been covered but my search found nothing on the forum). But who (actors etc) can claim to have multiple Lego incarnations and who is likely to join this club? I ask out of pure curiosity as I can only think of two people right now it for some unknown reason it has been bugging me, the two I can think of are:

Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones & Han Solo)
Sir Ian Mckellen (Gandalf & Magneto (albeit a tenuous Incarnation for Magneto)

I think it is fair to guess these guys could be joining that group

Samuel L Jackson (Mace Windu & Nick Fury)
Kate Blanchet (Irina Spalko & Galadriel)

Oh I will move my comment here

Christopher Lee - Count Dooku and (hopefully) Saruman
  • fitzyfitzfitzyfitz Member Posts: 94
    Alfred Molina:
Satipo (Indiana Jones/Raiders of the Lost Ark)
    Doctor Octopus (Spiderman 2)
    Sheik Amar (Prince of Persia)
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411
    Oh yes, obvious one there
  • SherlockbonesSherlockbones Member Posts: 411
Mark hamil ( Luke and the Joker)
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411
Was there a Sallah mini fig with the raiders of the lost arc? If so John Rhys Davies gets two, for Sallah and Gimli

The Mark Hamil shout is a bit thin as he was a voice only for the Joker, but I'll buy it.

That makes 5 people currently and 3 potentially.

    Warwick Davis:
    Wicket (Jedi)
    Flitwick (Potter)
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411
Guess there was no Sallah fig so Davies is out, but Davis is in.
    So still 5 & 3

This was discussed previously a couple of different times but I couldn't find the main discussion.

Alfred Molina = Satipo, Doc Ock, Sheik Amar
Warwick Davis = Wicket, Flitwick, Griphook
Harrison Ford = Han Solo, Indiana Jones
    Ian McKellen = Magneto, Gandalf
Orlando Bloom = Will Turner, Legolas
Samuel Jackson = Mace Windu, Nick Fury*
Christopher Lee = Count Dooku, Saruman*
Cate Blanchett = Irina Spalko, Galadriel*

Warren Davis could be 3 as he plays that professor and a goblin in HP, but I don't know if the goblins represent specific characters.

Could Hugo Weaving be a potential as Red Skull and Elrond?

Also Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Lego-las :D

    Thanks, updated the list

How can we forget the wonderful Pat Roach?

    Indiana Jones - Raiders (bare-chested flying-wing airman)
Indiana Jones - Temple (Thugee Temple Guard)

I can't remember if he appears elsewhere.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,624
you could argue for Ryan Reynolds with Deadpool and Green Lantern but the X-Men set is not based on the film (thankfully!) and Green Lantern is just a Comic-con fig right now
  • pantboypantboy Member Posts: 211
Slightly tenuous one but here goes, Keira Knightley was Sabe who was a decoy for Queen Amidala in The Phantom Menace and also Elizabeth Swann in POTC
  • princedravenprincedraven Member Posts: 3,764
Does Hayden get Anakin and Vader for Revenge?
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
^^ Has Sabe been a figure?

^I don't think that counts as it's the same character otherwise we'd have to do one for each fig variation...

For a long time Harrison Ford and Alfred Molina were the only two actors to be represented in two different characters - Han solo and Indiana Jones, Doctor Octopus and Satipo respectively. But I've realised this list is now out of date and I was trying to think of some more. This is the best I can do but I'd be interested to know about any I've missed:
Ian McKellen - Magneto and Gandalf
Orlando Bloom - Will Turner and Legolas
Warwick Davies - Filius Flitwick and Wicket

    Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter
  • pricey73pricey73 Member Posts: 352
    Kenny Baker- R2-D2! Rather tenuous!
  • pricey73pricey73 Member Posts: 352
    Could you also include:-

James Earl Jones - Darth Vader
    David Prowse - Darth Vader
    Anthony Daniels - C3 P0
    Jeremy Bulloch - Boba Fett
    Temuera Morrison - Jango Fett
    Peter Mayhew - Chewbacca

    Even more tenuous!!

Out of all of those, the only one that qualifies might be Temuera Morrison who played both Jango Fett and the Clone Troopers.

Maybe with the different incarnations of Boba Fett, White, Bronze, Cloud City, Countless Slaves etc..... :)
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
No, it's not about variant minifigs, it's about actors who have two different characters in minifig form.

    ;D
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
For example Harrison Ford has Indiana Jones and Han Solo.
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
    Ooooh!!!

Alfred Molina was also in Prince of Persia!!!

    HE'S GOT THREE MINIFIGS!!!

    :O
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
Technically Warwick Davis has four as he was Wicket, Professor Flitwick, Griphook and Yoda in Episode 1.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
^ Wasn't he only Yoda when Yoda was walking, and strictly the Lego Yoda cannot walk due to fixed short legs.
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
Did Yoda actually walk in TPM? I thought he just sat in his little chair and spouted nonsensical tripe about midichlorians and chosen ones.

    :\
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
If R2-D2 is classed as a fig, then maybe Kenny Baker as he also played Paploo (the ewok).
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
    @CCC - Well yes...
@SpaceCake - He did briefly at the end where Obi-Wan is kneeling down to talk to him and they are in a weirdly dark room talking about Anakin being trained.
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
If we get Iron Man 3 sets then Sir Ben Kingsley will probably join this club as Mandarin (Iron Man 3 bad guy) as well as Nizam from PoP.

^As I mentioned in the other thread, if they'd do more sets from The Last Crusade, we'd likely be able to add John Rhys-Davies and Julian Glover to this list as well (though Rhys-Davies may make it on LotR alone since he also did Treebeard... though I don't know if that one counts).
  • CupIsHalfEmptyCupIsHalfEmpty Member Posts: 545
Liam Neeson may eventually be added to the list as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars, and he has a minifigure as Ra's Al Ghul in Batman in the Video games...
  • y2joshy2josh Member Posts: 1,996
So... with Ninja Turtles now official, can we add Sean Astin and Rob Paulsen to this list?
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
I know, I was surprised to see the voice talent behind the cartoon. Who else has Rob Paulsen been?

Guess Johnny Drop is a cert for Tonto (& Jack Sparrow).
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
Edit: I just googled him, wow that guy's done a LOT of stuff.

Lego Batman Riddler then? And Commander Cody from the Padawan Menace.

    Do voices count?

Ok a friend and I were discussing this the other day and I wonder if anyone has any to add. There are actors that have been immortalized not once but twice as different characters. Some were technicalities and some were
    actual representations of actors.
    Here are the official representations:
Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Indiana Jones
Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and Tonto
Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Will Turner
Gary Oldman as Commisioner Gordon and Sirius Black

    I believe that is all

Now here are the "I gave it to them on a technicality" actors

Sir Ian McKellan as Gandalf and Magneto
Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern and Deadpool
Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrisian and Harvey Dent (major stretch, I know)
And Carrie Fisher as Leia and Jabba the Hutt.

Are there any others we are missing?
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
Alfred Molina actually has 3. Doc Oc, Satipo, Sheik Amar.
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
You've missed quite a few as this has been discussed before. I'll try to find the thread...
  • y2joshy2josh Member Posts: 1,996
Can we add Helena Bonham Carter (the first female on the list, I believe) right now, or do you guys wait until the figures are officially released?

Looking through my Lego minifigures collection the other day, I was wondering what actor or actress has the most different Lego versions of themselves

By different I meant different themes, so not including all the different types of Harrison Ford as Han Solo

    Most so far is two

    I.e.
Harrison Ford - Star Wars, Indiana Jones
Christopher Lee - Star Wars, LOTR
Jonny Depp - POTC, Lone Ranger
    Orlando Bloom - LOTR, POTC
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
This has been discussed quite a few times, I think.
    http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/4394/multiple-mini-fig-incarnations-how-many-and-who

There are a lot of suggestions in that thread, but I'm not sure anyone's ever made a definitive list (and some more need to be added, as that thread is years old now)
  • legonickblegonickb Member Posts: 57
@plasmodium thanks for letting me know about previous thread

    So does Ian McKellan officially get two for Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White? :}

No but he gets one for Magneto.

  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
Well, I'm going to resurrect an ancient thread to see what has changed in the past year or so. Given the Jurassic Park rumours, Chris Pratt gets on the list, and I guess Kate Blanchett is confirmed with Irina Spalko from Indiana Jones and now (finally) Galadriel.

    Any others recently?

How has no one added Chris Pratt to the list yet?

    Emmet Brickowski (The Lego Movie)
Star Lord/ Peter Quill (Guardians of the Galaxy)

and rumor has it he will have a 3rd one very soon too. Owen (Jurassic World)

City Firefighters, Generation 1, 2, 3. Several of Gen 1, two or three of Gen 2, and one of Gen 3. I like to pair Gen 1 torsos with the Gen 3 printed legs.

City EMT/Paramedics. Generations 1 and 2. One 2 medic team of each generation. I'd love to have the Life Flight team from 7903.
