    Picked one up in Local NJ store I asked and was told "1 per customer": they had 8-10 behind the counter none up on shelves, and did get the mini mini...

    Also see that it is available in US [email protected] now.

    I put my order through this morning, and there are three items in my email confirmation:
    1. The Tumbler
    2. Mini Mini Cooper
    3. 5004354 BATMAN'S 75TH ANNIV LEGO C.. V39 Item: 5004354

    Anyone know what that third item is?

    It's a comic book...Which I was not available at my store.

    It stands a good chance of getting to Smyths or maybe European Amazon sites (for UK/EU customers) in the longer term - it'll probably take a year to get there though.

    Blah, just bought it. I was hoping to get it later, not so close to SDCC. But what happened with the #21110 scenario, I no longer take chances.

    A big licensed theme UCS set isn't going to have the same problem as an ideas set. Also the fact that it is a $200 set slows down the sales as well.

    No they don't wait until 9/1 its VIP early access: they ship within 1-3 days from my experience in hte last 2-3 yrs.

    Not that I care for it, but no comic is added to my U.S [email protected] order, just wanted to try it will not buy other #76023 until September need Spacemen for project but comic must be UK only i am guessing.

    Ordered this morning from UK [email protected] Now have email confirmation it's shipped. Fast turnaround for this order. Should have it by Wednesday at the latest. No mini mini but already have one via a previous order this month.

    I'm fairly sure this is the same comic that was given out at comic-con. If so, it's really cool. I think everyone will be happy with it.

    Can anyone in the UK confirm that they have had anything added extra to their Tumbler order at [email protected]? The mini Mini has not been added after the first week of September, and I wonder if the comic is exclusive to the USA

    Nope, nothing extra added on my order. I got the mini Mini on a previous order though (don't know if this makes a difference).

    Just built mine up to the end of bag 3 and had 1 slip up along the way. The 2 pivoting panels by the seats are 1 x 2 tiles in DBG with a keyboard print, but the manual has such a faint representation of the keyboard print, I used 2 plain tiles meant for the seats. Had to backtrack through the manual to find out where they should've gone when I was finishing the seat tops. The main chassis is done now and it is looking huge already.

    Buy in store if you can and want a freebie (UK) - you'll still get a mini-mini.

    ^ I did the same thing. Figured it out right away since those keyboards were on the previous page. I'm through bags 1-2 but I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of the instructions. The first few steps have black and LBG but it looks like DBG. Feels like I'm working from a printout of some of those crappy PDFs where you cant tell what the black piece is because there is no definition in the image.

    ^^ Me too. Is anybody else finding the seemingly random build time of each bag(s) a bit strange? I spent a good hour on the first bag alone!

    ^ I thought the bag distribution was a little odd. Bags 8-11 pretty much have the same amount of content as all of the bag 1's.

    I'm still perplexed that TLG can't get the colors right between light and dark bluish gray on the instructions.

    Yep, I am only up to the end of book 2/end of bag 3 as i'm trying to make the build last all week, yet it looks half built already. Looking at the rear end, I think rear suspension mod should be very easy, but possibly at the sacrifice of accuracy. Getting the lower part of that back segment to swing/pivot up and down with some sprung suspension pieces is what i'll be looking at doing. Probably not possible for the front wheels without compromising structural strength.

    @monkeyhanger if you attempt the suspension mods keep in mind the back end of the tumbler is rather weighty, you might need some decently large springs to hold that up. I am curious if you succeed what you use, so please post here if you do try it!

    GallardoLU: i'm pretty limited in my parts bin (in the right colours), but i'm wondering if the sprung struts from my Endor bunkers are stiff enough, they certainly burst the "blow up" panels with some force when you press the action button. I was thinking that the rear bar that the axles fit to should be hollow with an inner pair of axle beams that can pivot within and having a tiled top. Hard to visualise without pics. Maybe a pair of springs within the hinged rear bar as well as the pair on the back that you would see.

    Just wondering if it is all worth the hassle if you cant spring the front end also.

    Just finished the build. Really interesting build techniques. The model is so much bigger than pictures do it justice. Here is a picture of it with the UCS Batmobile and the Mini.

    Picked mine up yesterday and built book 1 tonight. Ended up selling the extraneous non scale minifigures for $100, so I essentially have a nice big display piece for half price

    Resisting temptation to just finish it. Did bags 4 and 5 this morning, the wheels are on and it is massive. There is no way I can see for you to put some front suspension, but the bottom of the rear looks like it would pivot up and down very easily if it were not for the extension of a long 2 stud wide plate (2x16?) covering some L-sections of technic.

    ^ The roof of the tumbler looks like the shape of a darth vader mask with eyes and nose. Not an actual lego darth vader helmet.

    This thing doesn't have working suspension? I just assumed that it would and now I'm slightly disappointed.

    Nope, it doesn't. Nor steering (steering would be nigh on impossible if you want to maintain accurate internal looks). It does look amazing and huge though. It's definitely for looking at rather than playing with.

    I haven't received mine yet, but looking at the reviews (both split and single page ;) and photos the way the rear wing struts connect are beginning to bug me. I don't really know how you could attach both ends securely, but I'll be adding a black clip (or something) to where the strut attaches to the body to at least simulate a connection. If this is a display piece, it should look like pieces aren't detached and broken.

    On a more positive note, the scale of the thing looks incredible. I for one will be trying to tinker with it to get it looking even more like the real thing. For example, the 2x1 cheeses beneath the windscreen might need to be replaced with a angled plate.

    That is probably pretty accurate size comparison for the two real vehicles.

    I have no interest in the SH theme in general, but did want this, it is one hell of a display piece. Leave your wallet at home, then you can't buy it ;)

    Step 1 of building a Lego vehicle's base is a lot like looking at a puppy's paws - in both cases you can judge the size of the beast just from that. That said, the base and tires for this are just massive. My daughter mistook the stacked tires for a beer coozy.

    I'd be interested to hear if any owners of 7888 have sold the set and gotten 76023 - if the aftermarket prices are as high for the set as they were the last I checked, they should be able to do so with a bit of change left over. When budget permits, I'm going to sell my Bricklinked Tumbler from the original to put towards the UCS, though I'm not expecting a large amount for it.

    I still have an intact 7888, but I'm not ready to part with it quite yet as all Tumblers are on display in my room. I recently saw a NSIB going for $1300, it that helps.

    Well, my UCS Tumbler showed up from [email protected]...smashed. It gives me an excuse to head into the city to exchange for a decent copy and simultaneously hit the POB wall, which is long overdue.

    Well mine is complete. If you compare value for sets at full RRP, it compares favourably with other sets at its pricepoint, it is a huge and chunky slab of Lego. The glossy black is a magnet for fingerprints - I had to give it a bit of a rubdown. Been watching GOT from series 1 most of the week while i've been off work with my post-surgery left hand.

    It's probably going to take up pride of place on my PC desk.
