Same with RI and people silly enough to pay 40-50 dollars for the RI and 50-60 for the exo suit, at least in the US. Sadly that means more #$%^ will buy these to horde and sell on eBay to people who do ont know any better unless LEGO really pumps out a lot of them.

whenever there is a demand, there will exist people willing to fill it. Blame those willing to pay 2x to 3x RRP, not the people looking to make a few bucks.

    Saarbrücken still has 9 Suits on the shelves plus 30 more in the back. Also 8 + 10 Institutes, 6 + 20 DeLoreans, and 6 + 50 Ecto-1s.

Other offers of interest include a full 50% off #79004 Barrel Escape, #79008 Pirate Ship Ambush, and #76007 Malibu Mansion Attack, as well as 15% off one Haunted House in a damaged box.

Well I originally called ' the people that do not know any better' suckers, but figured that would cheese people off.

If LEGO can get these into TRus, Targets, Walmarts, and Amazon, that should slow down the resellers a bit

Just pulled the trigger myself; happily my VIP points totalled €35 so I used those for some free LEGO (well, not quite free; the €11.95 shipping stung a bit). I've also been given the September 11 shipping date, but hoping that somehow it ships earlier.

Got mine on Wednesday from Sheffield, there were still quite a few in. Would've waited a month or so to spread my spending out, but didn't want to miss out due to it selling out completely. Excited for the build but got work to do first!

^Wow. It's 4 minutes after you posted. I'm surprised they aren't sold out. I'll give it 30 minutes.

I'm guessing it won't last 10 minutes (it said there were only 15 left when I checked out)

^I got two from my local lego store last week, one for my son and one for myself. I don't invest. It probably could be some easy money, but I guess I would rather let some others have a chance to get one.

    Still there after 10 min.
  • iluvmyelementiluvmyelement Member Posts: 52
Technically gone - but they claim you can still buy them and they are back-ordered. Not sure how much I trust this

A couple shipped to the UK work out about £30 each - same as UK [email protected] price (excluding VIP point allowance).

It won't let me even place a backorder, just puts it in my saved for later folder.

I was able to place an order around 5:30 EST and so far no awry e-mail; I'm going to leave my [email protected] order in place and see which one ships/delivers first! It's a race to space! : )

Well I got my order in; I'll wait to see if it shows up.

    BrickNerd posted this:

"It’s a very popular set and we’ve had a lot more orders than we expected. We don’t have any in stock at the moment, and we’re working hard to make more. Our warehouse is expecting a new delivery around 04/09/14" - LEGO

It's a really clever marketing strategy from Lego to tell people it's going to be a limited run as more people will set multiple sets (somehow people can get multiples even when it clearly says 1 per customer) I will be very happy if this is true; resellers will be angry :)

This is sold out in the UK?! Does that mean the run is over and there aren't anymore?!

^^ It means they are not taking any more orders on back order. It could come back in stock, or it could be truly gone. If they have taken enough back orders to use up most of the September stock, they have probably just closed orders. It wouldn't surprise me if their order system cannot cope with two 'expected' dates. So if a third October batch is due, they wouldn't want it showing a September date for delivery.

I think his point is it's not Amazon selling it, it's a 3rd party seller.

Yep, they are overpriced ebay sellers that also use amazon.

I grabbed what appeared to be the last one at bluewater. I have one on back order with [email protected] but who knows when that will arrive.?
  • ricecakericecake Member Posts: 878
I ordered mine around 8 AM EST on August 1 from US [email protected], and my order status is still "Backordered" with no date given and no further information provided to me. I believe when I placed my order, the website said it would ship August 14, but now it has obviously changed to the "Temporarily out of stock" message.
  • luckie_reubsluckie_reubs Member Posts: 299
I got my shipping notice today, so I'm excited to see this set in a few days from Amazon. Thanks for the tip about ordering from Amazon!
  • logicstormlogicstorm Member Posts: 97
There were still about 5 Exo-suits on the shelf at the Lego Store in Leeds today.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,788
I got my two ordered from Amazon mercifully, so I think I am done with the Exo Suit (well when I physically get those boxes in my hands anyway).
My guess is LEGO is going to see demand and pump out many many more of these (ala Minecraft) so I'm not concerned if I want more of them later.
  • GallardoLUGallardoLU Member Posts: 644
just received my 2 sets from [email protected], so I'm good for a while, as others have said it looks like demand will be met on this one so getting another set in the future shouldn't be much of an issue.
