Repurposing sets

This may have been discussed before, and if so I apologize.

What are some novel ideas people have come up with to use existing sets outside of their intended purpose? I'm not talking about utilizing pieces to make an MOC or something. For example, I thought the Ewok Village would make an excellent Forestmen's hideout for my Castle setup.

I used there creator tree house for Bart's tree house behind the Simpson house for a time. but ended up remaking it into a better replica of the tree house on the show.

#31004 as a more scale-accurate Gwaihir for Gandalf to ride.

Oh I like your idea of using the ewok trees for the forest men. I'm tempted by that

Me too, the removal of one slope replacing it with a 2x1 brick so Gandalf has somewhere to sit.

I always thought that with a few alterations, #4182 could be used as a small Ewok Village scene. Well, that was before the real Ewok Village set was made.

Another that I've done, I changed the windscreens on the Airport Shuttle to neon trans green, and bought another battery box without the airport shuttle sticker on it, and used it as a monorail for M-Tron to get from their base to the mining site.
