@talos it would be nice to see that cypress tree come with it ;)

It would be great if they made a set with one in it, they are going for about $17 a piece on BrickLink! ;-)

If they were to release it in a modular, the price would not lower much.

That's exactly why I wanna see one, paying that much for a tree is a bit much.

@viteolum if they were to release one with a modular there is a huge chance that we would see the tree in much more sets.

^ did you shoog that photo using a blacklight or something to light those rock crystal pieces up?
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Manitoba CanadaMember Posts: 1,850
^ I would guess photoshop, as far as I know only florescent parts glow under black light...

    Yep, it's edited.
  • graphitegraphite USMember Posts: 3,240
Ah cool. well nice work with the edit.

BTW anything white (clothing wise) "glows" under blacklight. Doesn't have to be special. Just white reflecting the color of the lighting and the lighting color affects certain things more. The grey tiles around the edge have a lighting glow to them which is why I thought it was a light.

And after some stunningly superb MOCs, I present to you, a four wide van, based on a Canadian Mail van from 1984:

A few years ago I was fascinated with the 6242 Soldier's Fort and the modular design, so I decided to MOD it and add a whole bunch of modules that can be added to it to produce a larger fort.

At least we know its not a LotR elf, because if it was then that guy would have died before his sword fell.... ;o)

While we're on the subject of @vitreolum‌'s builds, I've only just twigged that this comment of @rancorbait‌'s (concerning the first Sir Elfkiller build) was supposed to be a funny twist on a LotR quote. I feel really clever now...only two weeks slow. ;-)

Excellent build, btw vitreolum. I look forward to further installations (or "volumes"?) in the Saga of Sir Elfkiller!

@rancorbait you seem to like those plank stickers from the goblin king :P I like the fishing pole, nice way to actually build something instead of using a pre-made mold ;)

@rancorbait, how did you cram so much detail into such a small MOC???? :-)

I like the way you were able to use the intersection road plates. Makes it look like a no parking zone . I will certainly be borrowing that idea.

@Chrisbstm Thanks, luckily I had one of those around otherwise I probably wouldn't have been able to complete it.

    @rancorbait That rockwork is excellent.

Aren't we expecting results of this round's MOC contest at some point?

Anyway, I normally do much bigger builds than this, but here's my first kinda "tablescrap" vignette build, sort of like a marine exploration robot exploring a deep reef of sorts where only blue wavelength light can reach. It's either an excuse for me to try microscale, or an excuse for me to use some of my newly acquired trans-blue parts in something...

I've never seen those dome pieces in trans-blue, only white :/

Or the fire, and leaves in that color.
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Help me, I'm inside the M25! (UK)Member Posts: 1,359
@bobabricks The trans-blue domes come from #8925, the fire piece comes from #60061 and the leaves come from #70135. So they're very uncommon pieces, they each only appear in one set, and 2 of them are new for this year :-)

I swear I've seen the water "flames" in other sets, maybe it was just the smaller ones.
  • plasmodiumplasmodium UKMember Posts: 1,936
    edited June 2014
Yeah, the smaller flames (in trans-blue) are relatively common. There are also occasional trans-green ones.
