Not sure if this had been posted in another discussion or not. TRU is having another May the 4th (actually Sat. the 3rd) in-store building event from 12-2pm. Also..if your out running around with the kids on Sat., it's also Free Comic book day!

Cool news. I wonder if they'll let parents in on the action!

Free comic book day and then a toys rus star wars build is becoming a tradition that I like...we did both last year as well.

If someone could post instructions that would be great.

Both are relatively self-explanatory, no? The X-Wing is the same as in #7958.

True, and it being the same as the Advent is disappointing. I like when the sets are unique builds, say like Emmet's Car, or that mini police car they did last year, or the Wishing Well.

Doing a rough count, it looks like around 35 pieces for both.

Did anyone (over the pond) go to the April 28th mini build of Anakin's Jedi Interceptor? Willing to share a part list/instruction image?

Not sure if I should have started a new thread/topic for this...but was at TRU today and they had put a few Technic sets on clearance as of yesterday.

^Also Mines of Moria. For $80.

But you can still stack the 20% off coupons with the $200 #42009 which is a solid deal.

^ Technical (pun intented) #42009 is hot priced item and therefore not eligable for the 20% coupon that came with the catalog.

i have been able to use 20% off coupon on #42009 although its marked as hot priced item. its worth taking to register and asking them if you can use 20% off.

We went today, and it was a slim crowd. Here's a photo. Kind of a cool little model. I prefer the look and size of the polybag versions as a micro model, though. I'll try to bricklink the parts later.

Edit: curse. I'm on mobile. Can't upload a photo right now.

About 90 people came to my store for this event. Maybe we were supposed to tell people to take just one of the two models, but everyone got both.

at my TRU event it was laid out where there were boxes of pieces, and how many pieces of each you should take, and a baggie to put them in. It was designed to get the parts for both models. It was well run and my daughter is happy to have her own little X-wing and TIE.
