    Someone asked a question regarding the gearbox for the Berkshire steam engine above and how to prevent the drivers on either side from jamming, so I thought I'd share the solution here. I used the same gearing concept as the Emerald Night, but extended it to power two axles, thus keeping everything in sync. A pic of the gearbox is attached.

    Incidentally, If you have #10194, you should seriously consider...

    1) The mod above
    2) This mod: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37468
    3) Swapping the 5L drive rod lift arms with 7L lift arms

    Those three, relatively minor upgrades serve to make the engine run much more smoothly.

    I just had fun building the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I always wondered how they got it to lean that way...the Lego set not the actual tower. I like how you got to build it straight, then added the lean at the end. Very clever. I recommend this one.

    Starting work tomorrow on 10218 Pet Shop. By all accounts the best of the modulars so I'm looking forward to it

    Just finished building the Parisian Restaurant and absolutely loved it - so many details! The only other modular I have is the Pet Shop but I've also expanded the Daily Bugle to fit in line with the modulars so my street doesn't look too empty while I save up for the next building...

    #6869 quinjet battle just started, it should be a fun build. I'm more excited to finally start my lotr builds since hubby finally promised to build me book cases.

    Just finished combining two PRs and the remnants of a GE (along with a few bits and pieces) to make a full 32 wide PR. It was fun and I developed a lot more respect for those who make modular MOCs. Except, that is, for the MOCs that look like a shoebox turned on its end. :-) My PR probably wouldn't appeal to most as it basically has TH deminsions.

    Put together #60009 over the weekend with my daughter. She has moved on from Friends to City Police since there are not any new Friends sets out that fit into her Heartlake City setup.

    I just opened and tried to put together #853195 the brick calendar, I am missing the '10' brick, so had to order it. I got a plain white 2x2 brick instead, so until I get the missing one, I have a white space where the 10th should be. LOL.

    I also have the City set 'Town Square' to build, #60026 which looks like fun, I wanted the bus and motorcycles mostly from it.

    Just finished building #10243 with both my wife and daughter. I was a very interesting build, and we learned that my not yet 7yr old can actually put together most of a 16+ expert creator set by herself.

    Airport Shuttle monorail #6399 and #6921 add-on track, but I keep having to take time out to hunt for missing pieces - I have a pile of about 4000 waiting to be sorted and hope I have the pieces

    Next job in our house was going through a big bundle we bought. 2 of the sets me and my non lego fan wife started going through last night.

    They were the Creator Ferris wheel and the USC Bat Mobile.

    I'm hoping this will turn her!

    Ahhh Lego heaven for me. I love sorting Lego, even volunteered at my daughters house while babysitting.

    Currently between builds as I am "rebuilding", rather, renovating at home. Although next on the list is Palace Cinema - any good pointers or things to look forward to?

    Currently building the Grand Emporium. I am really getting into these modular buildings. I wish though I had discovered the modular buildings a few years ago as I would love to have built the Green Grocer and Café Corner. The prices of these sets are a tad on the high side.

    A wharenui. A Maori Meeting house. Maori are the indigenous / native people of New Zealand. Going well, and about to attach the roof structure.

    I will in due course; All done now except for Maori carvings. Do them on the weekend. But it might go into a competition before I 'publish' on my MOCPage. Might delay piccies a month or so.
    Oh, and I have to dig out some 'brown' minifigs. Thanks to was-it-Indiana Jones, I've got some ... Sadly they're probably clothed, so I might struggle to 'dress' them in native Maori outfits ....

    My first attempt at a "new" style Technics (all my other are at least 20 years old) - I'm impressed that such a small set could be so creative. Great leaning experience, at 80% done, I realized the first axle I put in was the wrong one and I had to semi-disassemble and repair.

    I'd like a $ for every time I've done that...I'd be rich. I have learnt to double check some things now, especially the unusual shaped ones that have similar looks. I don't assume it's the right piece until I double check lol

    You should get a mini mog to go with it #9390.

    Good excuse to get the full size unimog model then.

    Wow, Lego did quite a job on me with that warning, it's really quite persistent. Soon as I thought about a lego ship *does not float* just auto-pings into my head. :oS

    We used to solved that problem with some well placed plastic wrap in the hull. Used to make Lego swimming pools that way too.

    Actually, how come Lego have never done motorized hulls? I can imagine that being a popular amongst afols thing. Motorized remote-controlled Lego ships and boats, maybe even with little firing cannons and targets that flip down when hit. Or light-sensitive laser things to record 'strikes'.

    @legomatt - A few boats have been motorized using this piece, although they were not remote control as far as I am aware.

    @CapnRex101 I half expected someone to say they had done. I remembered the 'lights and sounds' boats that came out when i was younger, but had no idea they'd motorized any. Just the two sets looks like it was an experiment that didn't take off... because that would make them aqua-planes. :oD

    ^That Sebulba's podracer looks absolutely gorgeous! I never picked that set up, as i couldn't quite justify it to myself (i don't have plans to recreate much prequel stuff in my SW display), but it's slowly working its way to being a 'hmmm, maybe i should've' set. It's such a good recreation.

    I started recently rebuilding the Skull's Eye Schooner. I wanted it ever since I got back into LEGO a few years ago.

    However, I'm not simply bricklinking the pieces. I am recreating it in new colors and new build techniques. I am appreciating it a lot more. Plus I have a lot of the newer colored pieces so it works out cheaper in the long run. The only snag will be creating my own sails.

    Been building a small branch line railway station. It's expandable, with pins connecting each platform part. The main part (with the building) is complete, except for about 4 bricks. It shall be touring the Lego shows later this year ;)

    Yup! I've also been building a Guard's Van today, and have just ordered about £17 worth of parts from a seller in Germany. I didn't realise Reddish Brown clip plates were so rare and expensive! :O
