    Building #10226. Really fun build and nice model, probably overlooked because of his high ppp for a creator model but a great selection of colors and parts.

    Give it time, @legomatt, give it time. We're bound to do Pinafore again someday...and since my Chairman has asked that I keep doing these, I'd better start stocking up on suitable sailors...;-)

    I finally had a free day to relax and build. I went to the LEGO room and stared at the two walls of sets and picked out Unexpected Gathering and the Town Hall. I know I'm behind ....way behind but now I have the room to start building my bigger sets. Unexpected Gathering was a fantastic build and I'm half way through Town Hall.

    Finished my #75020 Khetanna today. It doesn't look half as bad in the flesh as it does on the box. Compared model proportion with schematics on the net.

    Looking at the size of the sails, and where they are, the front one seems to sit 3 studs forward of ideal, as the front sail should be inline with the front of the top deck and you could get away with setting the back one 3 studs further back than the front one. All in there's scope to lengthen the deck by 6 studs without spoiling the spacing/overlap of the sails provided, and widen the deck (and therefore the whole kit) by 2 studs. The hull itself already about 2 studs short. Might have a tinker with it tomorrow.

    Just finished Venator cruiser #8039 today and UCS red five X-wing the other day. My dining room table is turning into a star wars display again. So far six on display and more to come.

    I built #70707 Galaxy Squad CLS-89 Eradicator Mech last night. I love the transforming aspect of it. I tried to be careful in applying the stickers using tweezers, but of course I still managed to get a couple either slightly crooked or slightly overlapping the edge of a tile.

    Finished UCS B-wing this morning. much bigger than I expected. It was a fun build with some good technics and some that I question. Overall a great model.

    I just built HP Knight Bus #4755 and Mater #9479. I have been waiting for about a month for two bricks so I could build it. I love it. As for Mater, he was all alone on the shelf with no one else, so I just had to get him lol. He's cute and I so like it.

    Hi I'm new here :D

    Just wanna share what I built using brickset.com/sets/6866-1 .

    I also wanted to make an instruction booklet on this model. I found out about Lego Digital Designer, and made this with it:

    I'm definitely gonna make a mech also :D It would be most interesting, as this set have many piece I have never worked with before. I doubt the latest Lego Digital Designer have these pieces either >_>;

    A couple of blasters for weapons, the large window will fit a technic figure behind nicely. Maybe give it tracked feet.

    I recently motorized my Galactic Titan. The problem is that the wheel wells don't grip onto the rubber treads very well. Thus it doesn't drive worth a damn on carpet.

    I was walking past my doors in my house and realised that the design on the doors is like Lego roof pieces, so I created a sample of a life size door.

    I am building the Winter Village Cottage #10229. I love it, it's so detailed, even the snow plough is brilliant. I highly recommend this set for those, who like me, like building buildings lol

    Working on #5884 from our last purchase of bulk a few weeks back. Have the vehicle finished, ordered the Raptor, now need to build the other small items to complete it. Also received the replacement windows for #10220 so we can complete that as well.

    Can someone answer a question for me?

    The modulars like the Pet Shop, Fire Station, etc and the Mini versions of these...what are the comparisons like?
    I mean has anyone got a photo of a normal sized one with the mini one next to it?

    To give you a general idea, the modulars have a 32x32 base whereas the mini modulars have an 8x8 base.

    I'm halfway through the #10197 I found at retail last week. Unfortunately they yellow pole for the bottom half of the build was missing so I just bricklinked it. That aside, I aim to finish the whole thing tonight or tomorrow night. It's my first modular and I've really been enjoying the main building, but the build on the vehicle is really disappointingly flimsy.

    A couple of pictures with progress so far.

    It does stand up at the moment but may need slight tweaking once the rest is built up to balance it as I'm not sure how much it will weigh yet as its pretty big.

    CABIN FEVER!

    I need some help with my Technic Logo 42009 Mobile Crane MK II. I am working on the "cabin" section of the vehicle. I will refer to Book 4 (of 6) here.

    Everything is good through Step 17 on Page 8.

    (see first picture)

    Take a look at the tan bevel gear attached to the long black rod. At this point I am saying things are "good" because rotating the black rod with my fingers freely rotates the bevel gear - which freely rotates the black spur gear. Excellent..

    Moving on to Step 18 we make a separate assembly. The black "T" shaped piece will begin the problem.

    After mating the two assemblies (see below) the gears no longer turn without significant friction.

    I thought the problem would just go away so I proceeded. Notice how the black rod is now under so much pressure it tilts up significantly (fourth picture). Game over.

    I took it apart put it back together three times. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas out there? Anyone else run into this?

    Have you put the piece below the sticking cog in the wrong way round causing it to stick out and catch the other piece?

    I'm building my favorite, 10243. Sort of. I've built one set 'stock' with no mods. No additional comment needed. I've bought two more and am making a larger fully 32s wide building. The outside seating and patio areas have been removed. This will take a while as I'm experimenting with the 'texture' of the buildings facing. The first floor is the restaurant with a bar area, the second floor an apartment and the top floor (hopefully) will be the apartment's workout area with a handball court, a putting green and a spa. 10243 has some nice parts and colors for MOC purposes.

    The problem was a tan pin inserted backwards below the tan (bevel) gear and behind the black gear. Perhaps that is the piece you are talking about. The picture shows the pin in the incorrect position.
