This thread makes me incredibly jealous. Anyone else find themselves glancing at pics and running the sums in their heads or is that just me?
I have very little space for display at the minute, so only really got Movie sets display (with a couple of interlopers) and a case of Minifigures, have another cabinet of minifigs but it's mostly out of sight so become a bit of a minifigure dumping ground

I guess I'll add my collection pics too, though I guess my layout hasn't changed much since I posted my displays last summer:

My wire mesh shelving, ideal for hanging my LEGO aircraft:
    image
Ikea shelving unit, it was supposed to be for books but I chucked the books elsewhere and put LEGO in it's place instead. It's also where I hang my keychain collection. Soon the model cars may have to go too as my LEGO collection expands:
    image
Jabba's Palace gets it's own shelf. It's also where I put all my Star Wars figs. This pic probably also shows my passion for geology...:
    image
Dragon area, including a 1600 piece Smaug-like dragon MOC:
    image
My desk. This is where the Simpsons House currently sits so it can pleasantly distract me:
    image
And don't judge me on this: I'm also addicted to Hero Factory, as this photo shows:
    image
Unfortunately, I suffer from a severe lack of space, this will probably end up getting a complete overhaul when I finish university. This is only about 2/3rds of my collection. Somehow I'm going to have to find space for a 4000 piece house MOC and an Ewok Village soon... as this is also where I sleep and do work!

^no judgement for the Hero Factory but did I see a Construct-a-Zurg?! For shame!

    Just kidding. Mostly :)

I have never had the slightest bit of interest in the Tower of Orthanc until I saw this thread. That thing is stunning.

    Whoa @Nelly! ;-)

    That's a heavenly haven.

And @Brewer51 I know exactly how you feel. I had no interest in the Tower Bridge until I saw it displayed (in @AFFOL_Shellz_Bellz 's spectacular array). Beautiful. I have since bought, built, displayed, and sold it!
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
^^ Thanks for pointing that out, that's the one thing that's got to be broken down into my parts bins, I have no interest in it! To think I only bought it for the cape while it was on sale a few years ago... ;-)

(you see, I love LEGO capes ;-) )

Also, no idea if I used that semicolon correctly but hopefully someone will chime in to let me know :)

    When in doubt: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/semicolon

    And @Nelly, nice trains, drool.

Wow - loving the collections now, thanks for sharing them guys. It is just making me excited to get my collection sorted and on display :).
  • Brewer51Brewer51 Member Posts: 248
@Brickarmor I have a TB sealed upstairs that I'd never been bothered about opening until I saw this thread. I still haven't opened it but it's got a lot harder to refrain from doing so!

This thread is making me so jealous!...

Dito...but mostly because I can't display everything, too many 3-3/4 figures and Lego in a about a 10x10 room... and time to build.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
Nobody should be jealous. We should be happy that so many people have immersed themselves in Lego. Also, this should help give people ideas on how to display their collections :)

    @vwong19,
This is what we need more of in this thread. Nice collection! It is nice to see all the modulars close together. No PR?

PR is definitely a near future buy.... Lego has put out so many sets on my wantlist that I can't pull the trigger on that yet.

^ no hurry as it will be around us for another 50 months! It is a great addition, my favorite build since gg.
  • BastaBasta Member Posts: 1,259
Due to space limitations I only have a few smaller sets on display.

Have not got photo's of my sealed sets as they are in multiple locations in my Garage, with some in cupboards and others in Boxes.

I know, I'm not really jealous, well, maybe a little, but not really ;o) I am indeed happy for those with so much Lego! And I have had a few displaying ideas since reading this thread as well.

    It's basically just 4 of set #4956

    image

I removed the Garage and it has few other changes (as well as flaws). It wasn't designed or planed, I just had two of the set built and started playing around one night and this is what I ended up with. It has now been like that for over a year.

Thanks for that...but I am talking about the house with tan coloured walls, charcoal roof and red door.

@Basta - I cannot help but think how much the front doors are worth on that building alone....

Thank you @Greedfly13‌ that's the one I was talking about. Wow I must try and get that one, once I have saved my money again.

Lol, sorry about that, I should learn to read posts properly :)

As @greedfly13 said "Model Town House " probably the best and most popular Creator House to date. Unfortunately you may need to be saving for a while as prices for it are sky high these days.

Aside from a few sets on shelves, I currently have no display. Here's a part of my minifig collection (the ones I have outside sets).

I posted these photos in another thread a while back. These are from last summer.

This room is great, but I have 4 windows, 2 closets, and 2 doors that lead into the room. That takes away even more wall space for shelves!

My daughter is just about 2 and this is her favorite place to be. She can't say "Lego" yet but she sure understands when I ask if she wants to go in the "Lego room."

Sorry if it's too many photos...

Wow, wow and wow. I love the lord of rings MOCs. Where does everyone get their money from?!?!?! There's tens of thousands of pounds in there! Probably a lot more

I only started collecting Lego in February this year, and we are moving house hopefully soon, so until I get my Lego/craft room sorted out they have to stay where they are.

So here's my tiny collection, but you have to start somewhere :-)

The blue Lego bin belonged to my kids, so it's about 30 years old. The red bucket came with a set I bought, I only had to add 3 pieces to make it complete, my youngest granddaughter loves playing with this set.

@Steve_J_OM Which is it: no kids at all or no kids allowed? Those displays are immaculately neat.
  • Steve_J_OMSteve_J_OM Member Posts: 995
@Brickarmor no kids! And thanks :) Though all my friends hypothesise that I will be The Man Upstairs one day, so if you ask me that in ten years who knows!

I'm not sure why some people diss Cafe Corner. Seeing the light from the window illuminate the Hotel sign is beautiful.

Maybe @jediami65 was referring to the incorrect windows on the second level and the incorrect colors of the canopy. If it were a stock #10182.

No, I just really did not know what is was, I had not seen that set before I have not really gotten into the Modular build yet though I have purchased some newer ones.
  • jediami65jediami65 Member Posts: 474
Here is are a few things from my collection I am reworking my home office to accommodate more. I am Big into SW about 65% of my Lego collection is SW themed and I have close to 1,000 Hasbro SW figures plus ships. I need to get cracking on building more Lego sets I have about 300 unique ones to go. I have been a MISB collector but coming out of that some with the Lego R2-D2 was my first real build and that was great.
