^ I am confident no one here would begrudge you buying LEGO from [email protected] more than once during a month. :o)

And even with @odindusk making 8 "varied" orders back to back, I also doubt anyone at [email protected] would really care. Hopefully LEGO has enough to support the promo duration, especially seeing that they aren't ratholing them like they have previous ones.

But since there is a posted limit, we would discourage any conversations here that would espouse circumvention of said limits. No one has come anywhere close to doing so and even if they did, we would simply give them the Tattoine speech, "These aren't the droids you're looking for, move along." :o)

IMO there is nothing wrong with splitting your orders in the "hope" of getting extra promos. Just don't expect to get them and obviously you shouldn't complain if you only get the one.

The only way I could see any kind of issue with you account getting suspended would be if you submitted so many orders that they suspected you of being a reseller. I personally doubt $400 worth of Lego in a month would raise this suspicion.

In the past I have received double promos simply because one item was on backorder and they sent a freebie with each half of my order.

    Hi,
I have been looking at Lego.com web site, and there is something there I so want to get...

I am from Australia, I know they ship to Australia...but I can't get past the zip code!

I have contacted them, but they say it could take up to 2 weeks to get a reply. There is nothing on their web site about how to go about buying from them internationally. So I thought I'd ask here, in case someone has done it and can tell me how do I go about it?

    Thanks

I think you need to change your region on the upper right hand corner of the LEGO shop site.
  • Bluefairy_56Bluefairy_56 Member Posts: 320
    There is no Australian region.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,638
Make sure you are in shop.lego.com

Then you can change regions and languages.
  • Bluefairy_56Bluefairy_56 Member Posts: 320
That's where I am, I can't change the region, as these are all USA states. It says Shipping country: United States...this can't be changed. There is no where to change it.

Could it be because I am using my iPad?

I haven't tried it on my laptop, so I might try that tomorrow.

Not sure how many are aware of this but it seems the Lego IR receiver is currently out of stock with a shipment date due 1st July, does anybody know why this is?
It's a little frustrating as I need 3 of them and EBay and Bricklink prices seem to be about a fiver or more over priced, also the lights for the trains appear to be temporarily out of stock as well and I require 5 of those.
Does anybody know an alternative way of getting these without paying a 50% premium or will I just have to suck it up and pay the monies?
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831
^ What page are you on?

If you're at the main page (i.e. shop.lego.com), there should be a region selector in the upper right corner that allows you to select from ~25 different countries.

    ^^^^ What they say.
In right hand top corner below where you log in and next to their customer service number.
Works fine ( can change to whatever region I want although I'm in UK)

@Big_Blue_Winky You could try a physical LEGO Store?
  • Big_Blue_WinkyBig_Blue_Winky Member Posts: 181
Nearest physical Lego store to me is 110miles away in Walesland, might be worthwhile doing as I do have quite a big order to make but it's just finding the time unless they're willing to deliver, it would be handy having a Lego store down here in the deepest darkest depths of South West England really.

@Big_Blue_Winky Most LEGO stores will ship to you for £10 if you phone them to order and pay. That would reduce some of your saving versus getting them from BrickLink, but would probably be faster.

On the iPad scroll to the bottom and click "View Desktop Site" then you can change the region on the top right.
  • Big_Blue_WinkyBig_Blue_Winky Member Posts: 181
Well £10 is already a big saving over what I would be paying if went eBay or Bricklink anyway as the number of items I want at £3-5 over price equate to roughly £30 over priced so that's a £20 saving already plus I get my VIP points as well. Thanks for the information @Matthew will go check up on phone numbers forthwith and make my order.

Thank you so much. This worked perfectly. The price has gone from $179.99 to $269 not sure what postage would be. But I found an online store that sells it for the same price here in Oz, so might give them a go.

No actual stores here, I am 520km round trip from one, so that's out. I do all my shopping online.

    Thank you so much.

@Bluefairy Assume it is the Haunted House you are after? Kmart just reduced the clearance price from $189 to $169 yesterday, but by the sounds of it your local one does not have much in the way of Lego. I think Gumtree or eBay may be you best bet if you can find one cheap. I have seen some go for as little as $170-$180, although most now seem to be around $250+ shipped.

    Good luck with it.

Edit: If I can find any more (My local store has none left), I'd be happy to pick one up for you at cost + shipping. I'm heading to Sydney on Friday so I'll see how I go.

I was wondering if any one may have a guess on when the next time they have double VIP points base of last couple of years?
  • NellyNelly Member Posts: 77
I've been wondering the same thing. Looking at the 2012 and 2013 store calendars, they had them in March and October. I don't know if I can wait until October!
  • tefarreltefarrel Member Posts: 49
Does anyone know if there will be a freebie for and March purchases?

Usually it's an "over $50" thing
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
Yup, Super Heroes Martian Manhunter! With $75 or £50.

My apologies if this is old news, but it looks like double VIP points from April 1st to 15th!

It's rather disappointing that it's not in March instead :o(

DAMN, Couldn't it be the last two weeks of March!!
  • legogregorslegogregors Member Posts: 402
It looks like there will be no free polybag, just the friends promotion. Do they ever put those lower on the flyer?

General question, do Lego stores allow returns from online purchases or do returns have to be mailed back? Thanks,
  • epyon396epyon396 Member Posts: 268
Hmm. Looks like I'll push PR to April and buy something cheaper for my MM poly bag.

So it's a choice between Martian Manhunter or double VIP, or more than one big purchase to avail of both. Crafty, TLG, crafty. I was going to make my purchase during March for MM but I think I'll grab on on eBay and save my purchase for double VIP (though I reckon the points I'll accrue will only be marginally more than what I pay for the polybag).

@epyon396, I will probably do the same; spend just over £50 in March and then a big purchase in April.

Yeah, it helps when the new DC sets are available online at [email protected]

I start my last Art project in college on March 17 which will run though June. I was planning to make my final piece out of Lego so I'm sorted :)
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
I still think the Martian Manhunter is a better deal than 2xVIP for orders under $200. Martian Manhunter conservatively is worth $15 + $10 in VIP.

I agree, I ordered the Maersk ship yesterday, Got the Martian Manhunter and also added a Friends Animal poly to get the free Repunzels Market Visit Poly.

Obviously double VIP points is better if you have no need for the other items and are not likely to sell them.

Sent a question early morning last Saturday and got an automated reply but nothing since over a week later. (in the UK)

How long for a reply from LEGO Customer Service usually?
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
You will be better off calling them. There are times when they are backed up with a bunch of emails and they take time replying to all of them.
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
I've emailed about things and not received a response other than the automated but had my problem solved. Got my Elrond cape that way. It just showed up in the mail but I never heard back that they were sending it.
  • theLEGOmantheLEGOman Member Posts: 1,524
Thanks for replying, it was basically a question as to why, after it's been out so long, does the description of the 79008 pirate ship state 10 plain shields are included when there are none in the box and if you look in the pictures none are to be seen.
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,827

    I<--------------------THIS LONG--------------------->I
  • theLEGOmantheLEGOman Member Posts: 1,524
As an update to this, I was called a couple of days ago and they apologised about the discrepancy and gave me some VIP points as well as altering the description on the website so it no longer mentions the 10 plain shields just the 14 decorated ones.

    So thumbs up overall.
