    Thanks @busumoe1 I have been waiting to see that one drop at WalMart and it never has so I am in for 2 and some fillers for free shipping.

    I only have spare funds for 2x right now, so that's what I placed an order for. But it got me wondering though if LEGO has a limit in place for orders like this. Can someone try to buy 100x of these?

    Not sure if this has been mentioned on the forum, but Tuesday Morning acquired some Lone Ranger sets. They advertised the Silver Mine set for $35 in their circular, and I saw the Colby City set in the store for $30.

    Our Kmart here in South Alabama didn't have anything last time I checked it. There was a Walmart, though, that had about 10 Black Zero escapes marked down to $13; I'm sure they're even cheaper now.

    I have never seen a Walmart in my area change the clearance price on a set if it doesnt sell in a certain time window like Target and K-mart does. I love Target. If you hit the clearance just right they have the best deals you will find. K-mart starts with 30% off then moves to 50% off. Good thing about them is that its only on sets thats already marked down.

    The walmarts by me usually raise the price back up to normal after a couple of weeks or banish the sets to the garden area for a slow death. Only times I have ever seen them lower the discount any more is if the sets have sat there awhile and you ask.

    I think its funny how the K-mart deals are ending up just a couple bucks cheaper then the Target and Walmart prices

    I have been in several walmarts and not found significant discounted sets when I looked BUT I walked into one the other day and they had at least a hundred sets at 25-30% in the clearance section. medium to large sized LOTR/SW/Ninjago/GS/Castle... even some Duplo

    FYI for anyone near Burlington, IA if you are looking for something ;D

    Thanks for the heads up on the Helicopter Rescue at Lego.com. I've been watching that at Walmart for ages and they went from having piles of them to having none at all anywhere. I don't think they ever went on clearance. And I finally get to use some VIP points!

    I've found Kmart to be the best of all deals if you are able to hit sets at 50%, because like you wrote, the 50% is off clearance prices, which are below (sometimes well below) msrp. I've ended up with a net 75% off at Kmart more often than Target or Walmart. But, such is the nature of ymmv.

    You are correct. I have found some amazing deals at K-mart like $17 Tie Fighters and $13 Lone Ranger Stagecoaches. But I have found the second wave of markdowns at Target to be really hard to beat in price and the ammount of different sets available at one time. You just have to there at the right time for Target. K-mart isnt nearly as stalked by deal hunters. At least down here.

    I find that Target is watched closely my the deal watcher hooked into all of the deal finding apps. During the day its filled with those housewives in their yoga pants running around the store flipping through their phones looking for whats on sale

    K-mart tends to be filled with grandmas who stumble into a good deal for a bithday present and pass it on by word of mouth. There are lots of apps and sites that show when Walmart and Target are having sales.Everytime I have found a sale at K-mart is been either from Brickset or word of mouth.

    ^ I don't know about that. If there is a slick deal word gets out pretty quick and even Kmart is picked over.

    walmart had some small sales(mostly 30% off and a couple 50% off) going on last night. I got the lego street rebel for $11 last night. It nailed the 3 big needs for me at a good price: I need more orange, more technic and I really have been after larger tires.

    edit: ACK! mental note: have got to expand technic storage.

    Went to a WM that I haven't been to in about six months and nabbed a pair of #79007 (LotR Battle at the Black Gate) for $40/each. Looking forward to combining them! Just love that Mouth of Sauron figure...

    This store had very little else on sale/clearance. Not a single Galaxy Squad or Lone Ranger set to be seen. They had some random $15 Creator sets marked down to $11.

    It's killing me there's some Targets still at 30%, a week or two behind other stores nearby that have been 50% off. Of course, the 30% store has what I want.

    Our Walmart (Grand Forks, ND) put Friends polybags #30102 #30106 #30108 on clearance for $2. Ironically, they were never displayed from what I saw. Looks like they just found the box in back, said oops, and clearanced them. Friends #3063 was also out for $11. Daughter is set for her birthday/Easter. They also had a few of the aforementioned castle/galaxy squad sets, and those duplo book sets.

    Thanks for the heads up on #4429, margot. I just ordered 2, but they are on backorder. I have been on the lookout for this on clearance at Walmart, but that has not happened. Better to get the VIP points along with 50% off.

    Found Hobbit Unexpected Gathering sets at Walmart for $30. Bought 2 and left 1 on the shelf.

    At another Walmart, the Forrest Police Station was 50% off last Thursday with a lot on the shelf. Today, the price jumped back up to $80. Bought 1 for a friend at $40. Now I'm wishing I had picked one up for myself too.

    Showing sold out. This set will do better than what people think. And I believe these will be more of a summer Wal-Mart clearance item. Wallys all over still have a ton of them.

    It has potential, but I was convinced the bank transfer set would do awesome as well, and it hasn't really done much. I just bought 2 of the hospital set so no real commitment.

    I HATE the walmarts around here.

    2 days ago, I saw some lego creator sets on sale. Only had the money for one so I got the street rebel. went back yesterday to get the blue roadster and all the clearance that WAS set up in the lego aisle was gone and yet the small amount of stuff(mostly 3 board games) that's been in the clearance section for AGES was still there and appeared to be either the same price or near same price as b4 was still there.

    I'm talking about stuff that's been there since about the late summer time, maybe even longer( I could swear I saw that stuff a full year ago). for Christmas time, and this is too stupid to make up, they packed up all the junk in clearance(not just lego stuff), stored it, and it appears that almost all of the stuff is back in clearance at the same price plus more junk.

    Then walmart #2 cleared out about half the lego aisle at some point lately and stuffed some stuff in the clearance area along with stuff that doesn't even belong on clearance. I swear it's like they took most of the stuff that was in the old clearance areas(half aisle in households and 2 aisles by the paint area), put SOME in the "send back" pile and shoved the rest and more clearance stuff in the new area(right by the garden center) and as of today, the lego aisle is still half bare. If it's like either last year or the year b4, it'll literally be SEPTEMBER b4 it's reset

    I get that not all places can have epic clearance but it is NOT right that stuff that's only been in the lego aisle on clearance for a short time AND actually has potential to sell(lego creator stuff) is gone pecan goodbye while stuff in the clearance aisle is sitting around for months at the same price.

    NOTE: YES I did scan stuff in the clearance aisle and it was either the same price as b4, only a little bit lower in price then b4(by about 5 dollars or so) or it didn't even belong there since it was full retail.

    For what it's worth, a Lego store employee told me (I know, I know) that there will be no discounts on WV Market. They are sending back the excess to the warehouse.

    After waiting awhile for some Republic Gunships #75021 to show back up at my Walmart... they finally did and at $79(Red Clearance Tag)! They had 2. I bought 1. Ah yeah, now I can have my true Duel on Geonosis #75017 scene! Pretty happy right now.

    Wow. Target clearance simply never gets to 70% off where I live. Once it hits 30% off, most of it goes, and very rarely does anything go down to 50% off.
