Seems to be good for everything but the TRU Hard to Find sets. Sets worth noting since they are sold out at Lego.com

#49004 (Hobbit Barrel) Listed @ 44.99 + 1 poly = $35.00 (MSRP was $40.00)
#6863 (Batwing) Listed @ 49.99 - 15.00 = $35.00. Might not need to buy extra but that makes it MSRP.
#75014 (Hoth) Listed @ 54.99 - 15.00 = $40.00. (MSRP was $50.00 so this is a decent deal especially with an AT-AT coming out.)

This is also on Toys R Us Ebay. Their ebay store still has some of last week discounts active but it is changing, sometime even as I am checking out. Picked up #70809 and the Dolphin Cruiser for a couple bucks over $40 each.

You forgot the #6857 Batman Dynamic Duo Funhouse escape set.
Still in stock and if you buy two you get them for about 35 a piece.
Not bad if you are still looking for them, but that really is about it for a good deal.
Plus there are some deals that drive the price below RRP, but very few items (as usual) and not really driving the price well below RRP to really say it is worth to buy. I guess if you really need those sets.

Sorry, forgot the LEGO City Museum Break-in #60008 set. It is about 48 dollars if you buy one right now. Not bad when the RRP is 69.99 TRU must have a ton of them to put them on sales for UNDER RRP.

I'm off to see if TLM minifigs are the standard TRURP of $3.19 or if they're the exorbitant $3.99 they were earlier.

Isn't it easier to check online or call? They are showing at 3.99 online.
I didn't realize they had gone up, weren't they originally selling them for 2.99 each?

TRU has always been 3.19 as long as I can remember.

The LotR Pirate Ship 79008 comes out to $74.99 after the discount (25% off RRP).

TLM figs are indeed $3.99 in store. I guess I should expect this behavior from them for at least the next 10 months. The awesome sales from the end of last year must've just been a fluke. We'll see.

TLM figs started out at $2.99 and then jumped to $3.99 in store just over a week ago

    @Shouldaville Expiration date?

Edit: got one anyway, still curious about how long I'll have to use it.

I don't believe TRU regular gift cards expire...just ones that are considered "promotional". Worth checking immediately when you get it though. I've never had issues with other Giftcardmall purchases.

Are they gone already? I found lower denominations at full price. Thanks,

Yes. It looks like the deal was capped at 500 cards.

Whelp, Living in Montana and knowing that TRU is really the only place to get minifigures I got quite a bit. Picked up Metalbeard, Cuckoo Palace, with 7 of the movie minifigures. Really only saved $9 with the $15 off. Thought I got Bad Cop but ended up with an additional Emmet which I gave to my girl. Then Shopko pulled a curve ball and has buy 1 get one 50% off so I bought Bad Cop's pursuit and the Castle Cavalry(because I have all the other Castle sets).

Actually got a decent deal - managed to get a #9449 for $51.99 after the $15 off when it popped back into stock for a bit. My 4 year old missed the Ninjago boat first time around but we've been getting into it on Netflix and he'll be thrilled with this - the tank, the 4 ninjas and Pythor for $30 off retail? SOLD.

I was hoping eBay TRU would mess up their system and give 15 off for each 50, but that is not happening this time round.. oh well.
Again some good deals can be had. But you have to look hard for them. It also depends on what is meant by 'good deal'. For many $15 off of a Museum heist set that is sale priced at 62 from the RRP of 69.99 is pretty good for a lot of people who want one or two IMO. Unless you happened to get them cheaper somewhere else already.

Lego Star Wars Super Pack (66473) is 99 at TRU online right now. I believe that is a substantial discount to buying the three sets separately. The $15 off does not apply.

TRU now prices matches [email protected] so no more overpriced minifigures (at least not until [email protected] raises the price...)

The said thing is you should not have to price match something to retail.. How about sell at the RRP that everyone else is selling at instead of boosting all sets 20-40% and then forcing people to spend time arguing with a TRU employee about getting Retail then arguing that that you should also get the sales deal going on that week.

Do I have to take in an ad for them to price match [email protected], say a Lego Club magazine or can I just say it's $2.99 online?
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
@SquareSide -show the online price on your phone.
  • Penkid11Penkid11 Member Posts: 788
@SquareSide-They can also look up the price as each computer at the checkout has access to the internet. If they refuse to, talk to the manager, as sometimes only the latter know the what they can or cannot do.

The price matching of shop at home by TRU is sweet news as my TRU has been price matching tru.com with my phone. They probably wouldn't offer price match along with a sale though-at least they fight me with price match and sales for other stores.

If you're under $75, or if the item is out of stock it makes sense, but if it's over $75, price matching does nothing for you.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
^It's still sweet news. $2.99 cmfs instead of $3.99 for one...
  • TheLoneTensorTheLoneTensor Member Posts: 3,937
    Well...yeah. $2.99 < $75 :)
