@Try001 - Wow! That is an excellent gift, and I know who sent it (not me, but I know because I have the list) :o)

Ah such a good feeling! Got my secret Santa gift mailed out tonight with guaranteed delivery this weekend! Right in time! Haven't received anything on my end but I await ever so patiently! : )

I sent mine out yesterday, so it should get there in a few days... Let's see USPS get the job done! I hope my SS gets my gift intact...
  • MorkManMorkMan Member Posts: 916
Oh, and I got mine a few days ago, but I'm staying true to my word I won't open until Christmas!
  • carlqcarlq Member Posts: 792
My gift arrived this morning! Huzzah! Bearing in mind that it's only 5 days(!) now 'til Christmas, it's gone under the tree until Christmas morning. Exciting!

If our Secret Santa fails to deliver, is there any way of querying it? Or is it just too bad?
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
@richselby - I think we will cross that bridge when (or hopefully 'if') we come to it. If you are concerned about your own parcel, I am told that it has been sent and is on its way. I trust your Secret Santa to fulfil his end of the bargain so there should not be a problem :o)

According to my list, there are six people yet to receive their gift in the UK, but everybody has sent theirs out.

I am really enjoying reading all these happy posts. Everyone seems to be having such fun with the Secret Santa giving and receiving. Now I'm so sorry I didn't go in on it, but at sign up time I had just broken a tooth and it resulted in a severe abcess. After surgery I was still in pain and feeling quite weak as the infection took several weeks to resolve. At that time, I wasn't sure I'd be able to fulfill my obligation so I didn't sign up. As it was such a success this year, I am hoping it will become an annual event. I am already looking forward to joining in on the fun next year.
To Santa's Elves, aka the organizers, thanks for your time and efforts, a job well done. To all the Secret Santas out there, you did yourselves proud. To all the receivers, the delight you are finding in your gifts comes through in your posts. Well done everyone and a very Happy Holiday to all.

If @rocao and I are elves, does that make @CapnRex101 Santa? :-)

I think I got my secret santa today, either that I did a trade and forgot about it. It's not wrapped (I tore a corner) and it's polys! Going under the tree!!!
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
In my longing for my Secret Santa present I forgot all about the favor @dneul did for me in picking up the little car polys. Good thing she pm'ed me to remind me. So, the wait continues... :-) I'm a goof.

I feel like a proper Scrooge for not getting involved in this but fair play to all involved some serious effort and thought going into the prezzies. Well done all. It all makes perfect sense, who better to buy for obsessive lego fans - obsessive lego fans.
I intend to get some vicarious Christmas cheer by keeping tabs on this thread.

Hmmmm....so either you have way too much laundry sitting around or way too much LEGO? Merry Christmas to a wonderful Bricksetter.

I got my Secret Santa gift as well. Whoohoo!! Thank you!!

Despite the precious yelling at me to open it, since it's soooo close to Christmas, I am going to wait the next 4 days.

    Yup. Gonna wait.

Really pleased you liked them Kempo. But of a cheat I suppose, but you know how hard we've been working and how much I loathe minifigs right now (I'll find the love again after a Christmas break!) so actually it took more effort to make those than buy something from your wish list.
Ps a little Facebook stalking made the choices easier. It's meant to be Alonso with his funky tache he had earlier this year.

@minifigsme the fact you found the time to make them given how busy I know you are makes them that much more special! The Alonso mini fig is awesome and as soon as I saw the tache I knew it was him! I thought the medium of Facebook might have helped ;o)

    Happy Xmas!

I think your request is different. slovakiasteph was the Santa and didn't know the forum username of the person to whom they were gifting. I think you're wondering who your Santa is, is that right?

Yeah, kinda.... I know it defeats the purpose of being secret, but thought I'd ask anyways. I can understand though, if the user ID is not to be revealed.

This was a lot of fun. I'm glad I got a chance to do it. My presents are still sitting under the tree, and won't be opened until the 26th (at which point I'll lose them to my boy)

Well, Santa made it, by the skin of his teeth, with a santa-mobile MOC. No gift wrap, just came out of the card box, so sadly I was unable to put it under the tree, or have the pleasure of wondering what it was.

What a thoughtful present Santa - very imaginative. Great effort. :o)

I for one have loved following this thread and seeing all the wonderful gifts that the lovely secret santas have sent, and the lovely Christmas spirit and thanks expressed by the vast majority of the recipients. The Santa's seem to really have gone over and above to make this amazing and have obviously put a lot of time, effort and love into their gifts, I take my hat off to you all.

I did not take part this year as I was worried about whether I could get my gift mailed out on time but I am certainly hoping to be able to join in next year.

To all the wonderful Secret Santa's and the really lovely recipients I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, LEGO filled new year.

My Santa (from Louisiana) has visited and the package went straight on top of the piano. Where it would be safe from tiny fingers and ferocious animal invaders.
