Yes, I noticed the Hive Crawler at Target this morning. Bummer that I bought it via Amazon on Wednesday for $43.

Too many [printed parts?] in these or I'd think of parting some out.

Their standard price match policy is 7 days, so they'll do it as much as you want for the 7 days after the item is delivered.

That being said, most of the time, they'll do it beyond that if you simply ask, depends on who you get quite frankly.

All you can do is ask, there is an option when you click on "contact us" in their help pages, it is "payment issues", then "price changed on web site".

Pick those options, then simply type a quick note saying, "hey, the price dropped on XYZ item, the new price is X, can you please credit me the difference?

Aside from minifigures and their accessories, there are very few printed parts:

#70704 Vermin Vaporizer has one 2x2 "computer" slope.
#70705 Bug Obliterator has one 2x2 "computer" slope.
#70708 Hive Crawler has two red bubble canopies, a 2x2 round tile, and a 2x2 square tile.

^^ thanks. I've only ever gotten the copy paste stuff when after just a few days. Good info...

I bought a few Vermin Vaporizers on Friday for my nephews Christmas present. Sent Amazon an email asking for a price adjustment and got an response back from them about 30 minutes later saying they would credit me the difference (I bought at 32% off)!

^ Yea, they are usually very fast with replies, Amazon really does have superior customer service...

At the bottom of those e-mails they have a link asking "Did I solve your problem?" with a "yes" and a "no" button.

If you click on the "no" button, you get to leave them feedback and are asked if you want to contact them again. That is how you appeal a denial.

    Below that, is this quote:

"Your feedback is helping us build Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company."

They are not joking about that part...

    @LegoFanTexas
Thanks!! They were crazy fast responding!! I did not realize Amazon has a similar price adjustment policy that Target has. Obviously another reason to purchase from Amazon.

Another thanks here, @LegoFanTexas. Just got my refund confirmation email. $12 is $12.

Oh, and for anyone still on the fence, that Hive Crawler really is a cool set that holds up to kiddo play as well.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
You are both welcome, glad it was helpful...

$12 may not seem like much, but it adds up over time. Amazon's prices go up and down so often, you can sometimes catch things for a crazy price sometimes.

My son's top Christmas want is Galactic Titan, and the Hive Crawler will go very nicely with it. The two together will offer a ton of playability.

Yes, I felt my crazy price of $43 was a good bargain, but $35 is even better. The money refunded...it covered 3 1/2 ebooks that I bought this morning from the December monthly sale. They are for my daughter for Christmas. At the end of the day, $8 can go a long way.

I picked up the Hive Crawler while at Target today, also to go with the Titan. Anyone else notice the new security sticker (yes, sticker!) they're attaching to the front of a lot of the sets in the store?
