Decided to roll the dice and wait until about 9-10am to hit up TRU, and they still had TS and Republic Gunships in stock.
Got one of each was in and out relatively fast. Plus the 10 dollar gift card
Glad I did not get up at 5am for this.

Do you just get it automatically?

^Yes. Ring up $75 totals at different registers too or they may tell you it's one gift card per customer. I had exactly $150 and my cashier was going to break it into 2 transactions for me but the manager said no.

I presume you mean the card.
You get the card at the register if you spend more than 75 dollars

^^ The lady in front of me was told the same thing, i.e. no breaking into separate transactions, so she got one GC. Strangely enough, when it was my turn, they had no problem doing it, so I got 2. Very strange experience, not that I'm complaining.

^Yeah, it's typical. My cashier was happy to do it, the only reason a manager got involved was because they were trying to find more gift cards.. which is probably why she shut me down, they seemed to be running out.

^They hand you one at the register(check-out)...or at least they should.

I overslept and missed the 5am opening, but to my surprise found 2 town square sets in the ad when I waltzed in at 7am. There were plenty of gunships and malevolences, but I didn't want to press my luck and have the 1 per customer rule invoked.

I didn't have a problem breaking up my transaction and the cashier actually commended me on that approach. It went over so well that I decided to pick up some gunships. Lo and behold, when I returned to the LEGO area I noticed a quarter of a pallete of Town Squares.

I came away with 15 promo cards so I'll leave the reader to do the math. It might have helped that I was buying the cashiers candy bars to cross the $75 threshold since the Town Square was $74.99

So they let you buy multiple town squares?

The bigger question is... is it worth stocking up on multiple Town Squares, even at that price?

Perhaps, but something to consider is that TRU might well have it forever, the way they had the #8404 Public Transport forever...

The real question is, can you have a Town Square without getting 4 of these? Two would only make half a square?
