    Ah, right.

Either way, I agree. Could make a nice centre-piece set for the Prequels.

I would prefer a truly massive Invisible Hand model!
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
Oh yeah! the Incisive hand ;-)

Designed especially to break in two and with all the drag flaps etc. aswell? Recreate your own battle of Coruscant!

Yeah, that wookie is brilliant, cant wait to have that.

They have already made it, The Invisible Incisive Hand... it is in stores now with a "Hard to Find" label on the shelf.

^ I haven't seen it in the shops though, but somehow I felt it's presence when I entered the Lego aisles.

    :-P

^ Yep... The Invisible Hand that picks up Lego sets and takes them to the till and uses my debit card to pay for them... I feel it's presence all the time... The Force has to be strong with me if I am to resist it... :-P

I really love Chewie, it looks like its the same mold, just with printing on it. why couldn't they have done that years ago?

I'm not completely sold on the Kashyyyk trooper's arms and legs, the color doesn't seem right to me. The camouflage looks simply amazing on both of the troopers though!

Overall, from what I've seen of next year's Star wars minifigures, they are looking awesome! TLG is really getting into the details on these figures, I look forward to getting them! :-)

Someone needs to call the wookiee exorcist.
  • vitreolumvitreolum Member Posts: 1,406
It's not the same mold on Chewie, the head is taller and the belt goes only to the middle of the torso.

All three look great to me, although it almost seems a shame to update Chewbacca in my opinion. To paraphrase Governor Tarkin:

"The last remnants of original LEGO Star Wars have been swept away."

Now I have Chewie's voice in my head... He's saying "Buy me" to me in Wookie speak!

First the Invisible Hand and now Chewie telling me to buy Lego? I must be crazy... oh wait a minute... :-P

Chewies saying something to me but all I can make out is "Graw..Arghh...Huggnd." Sorry I may have got a bit of that wrong :P

^ Great, now I need a bunch of new torsos and legs for all of my Rebel pilots.

It is nice to see a new helmet design rather than the plain helmet with blue Rebel insignia. I'm pretty sure this one is Theron Nett. I wish it had been an updated Biggs, though, because there still isn't a good flesh face for him.
  • GIR3691GIR3691 Member Posts: 674
    Indeed. Looks like Theron Nett.

Instead of teasing us with a new figure here and a new figure there they shall give us official set pics!!! The wait is so annoying!

I'd actually mentioned it was Theron Nett several pages ago, and though I still think he's an odd choice, I'm hoping this is indicative of the possibility that they eventually release Red Squadron in its entirety.

I'm in the same boat with the torso, though. I JUST broke down and updated my snowspeeder versions of Luke and Wedge with the new Dack torso, but it seems I should have just waited for these instead and simply popped off the hands.

The first image of a 2014 star wars set! Without the minifigs unfortunately :-(

^ I quite like the model although I wish those studs were not exposed at the front of the ship.
  • 91stlegotrooper91stlegotrooper Member Posts: 92
I think there are too many studs revealed in the front of the model. I feel the nose on the V-wing in set 6205 looks better. Still, the rest of the model lokks pretty good.
  • It's certainly popular with Astro droids.

I am kind of surprise to see an Ep. III Anakin with what appears to be a smiling face, I would expect a more serious expression, especially since Anakin only smiled three times in the entire movie (if you want to get technical, twice he smiles as Anakin and once as Darth Vader).
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
Just that 'one time' is all you need to justify an entire minifigure.

So there will be a new Eta 2 Jedi starfighter?
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
@91stlegotrooper - I like fact that they have given him a smiling face, it gets kind of annoying when every version of a 'good guy' looks angry :-)

Is it just the lighting or did they go back to reddish brown hair on Anakin? I hope not!
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
And we have more clones! I love the detail on these figures!

^ They look fantastic to me, Gree is looking amazing in his camouflage in particular.

Now where are our unwatermarked set images?

Might sound weird but, why do all the clones have the same face? At least give 'em some different expressions! Scars, eye patches, tattoos, etc.
  • Jal4u2cJal4u2c Member Posts: 12
Yes, the detail on the newer clones is the only reason i have to buy any of the upcoming sets. I'm glad they are paying attention more to details now.
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
Exactly, now all they need to finish them off is some proper weapons, particularly the DC-15 rifle, TLG's attempt at creating them with a standard rifle and a Technic pin was horrible!

Well after seeing the box art here are my definitive purchases.
Death Star Troopers (The new guns are....interesting.)
    Kashyyk Troopers
    General Grievous Wheel Bike.
And Maybe on Utapau Troopers (God that build is horrendous.) And perhaps the Vulture Droid (That Nemoidian Looks too good!)
I must say that V-Wing looks like an exact copy of the 2006 one..........
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^Oh my, they've some how spread all the minifigs in a way that's making me buy every set of this wave. I'm a shmuck for clone troopers apparently.
  • tmgm528tmgm528 Member Posts: 457
^The funny thing is other than the Interceptor And Wheelbike Most of the sets are Mediocre at best.

The DS trooper battlepack is one of the coolest ever released. The plants on saleucami also look nice.
