I don't know why business sellers sell empty boxes. The customer will just request a refund, and he has to allow it.

It's almost as if you can sell the box and keep the actual set for free now - assuming you got the set for £130 at the Lego store of course - man I wish I'd bought one now... :-S Ah but I'm not too much into Technic I suppose.

Jokes aside, it is a pristine and beautiful thing though.

High prices are understandable on BINs. It just removes the item from sale temporarily for whatever reason but allows you to bring the listing back to life by lowering it when you are ready to sell without paying another listing fee.

The auction was ended by the seller, almost certainly because they sold it elsewhere, or some other dastardly reason.
They will have withdrawn the item and entered a bogus price.

@ColoradoBricks ,I accept that you clicked a link from Brickset as you say; but within the page of the similar item (which was not at all similar - I might have issues, but I don't need Vagisil Anti-Itch Cream!!!!!) - within the page is a link to the original ebay auction.
I also accept that ebay are not particularly clear. By default we would all, I am sure, prefer to be directed to the auction, not to something entirely unrelated.

Not a ridiculous auction. But I made the mistake of ordering some items when the shipper said he would combine shipping, without asking for details. When I got the combined shipping invoice it was simply the original shipping costs added together with no discount. Doh...

^ I had something similar once buying some cigarette cards on ebay. £1.00 postage for one item and would discount postage costs for multiple purchases. It turned out the discount was 1p per item. He wanted about £40 for postage when it would have cost him 70p plus (back then) 90p or so for recorded delivery.

I told him he could forget it.
