@Gurooo , yes I know, but I am just wondering if it is a limited edition to BR only or it will be widely available?

It's a nice bus in that set. I have the original one. It seems all that's changed is the set number. The buildings are nothing exciting but considering the lack of buildings in general for city that isn't police or fire they are a nice addition. Also, if I remember, they can be combined with City House. Now if only they would re-issue the construction sets.

A nice change would have been to change the 8x16 base plates for actual plates.

My son was looking through an old Lego Catalog today and pointed out #7641 City Corner, which reminded me of the re-release. So just wondering if anyone has seen this in wild anywhere else (apart from BR Norway) yet, as I would like to get a copy?

I saw the 2013 Early Holiday catalog yesterday, and it features the 2010 Cargo train (7939) on one of it's CITY pages. (Oddly, this set has not been renumbered to have a longer five digit set code like City Corner.) I thought 7939 was sold out when the red Cargo train came out... so why did they re-release the older set, and not re-number it like City Corner?

^ I wasn't sure #7939 was ever retired - it may have been in short supply over one summer, but afaik there were the three PF trains (passenger train and the two cargo trains) available concurrently.

The difference with #7641 is that it was definitely retired, so this is something of a re-release, albeit I think in the past Lego has re-released some sets with the same set number (not the Legends line - I'm thinking 1980s/90s here, so someone with a better memory would have to remind me!).

#7939 was not retired when the red cargo train came out, nor was it since then. Hence there is no need for a re-release.

This isn't uncommon. Every year or so, Lego will re-release City sets like a new police station, fire station, hospital. This is just another version of that. But the new set is much improved and modern-looking in my opinion.

The City Corner re-release (#60031) from 2013 is the exact same set as City Corner (#7641) from 2009. There is no improvement or change (that I'm aware of). When LEGO releases a new police station or fire station every 2 years, it is just that, a newly designed set, not a re-release.

That gives us. Hope that maybe some other high-demand retired sets will be re-released in the future! I can't wait for that to happen to the Green Grocer and Cafe Corner!

I can only beg for some kind of monorail-ish set. Pleeeeeaaaase.

Do not hold your breath on that. Modulars and exclusives are much different then redoing a typical city or other themed set.
The exception being Maersk sets, but that was because Maersk requested the remake them for their own promotional events and giveaways i believe.
Will they likely make a mod that looks like a cafe corner? Sure, but as discussed in numerous other threads, there are plenty of reasons why it will be unlikely.

^My favorite thread on this topic, which should also serve as a definitive statement from TLG, is the one where Jamie Berard personally stepped in to explain why Cafe Corner would never be re-released.

But then again, we did get UCS X-wing #2. So as always, TLG is consistently inconsistent.

I would not count Star Wars anything to be on that exclusion list as there is a history of them re-doing sets, but you also have to note that LEGO did not just re-do the XWing, they redesigned it if I am not mistaken, and called it Red #2 so it is different.

Is the City Corner set going to be re-released in the US or Europe only?
