    Question:

So would the X-Men LEGO sets be based off of X-Men Days of Future Past or the X-Men comics?

I don't think LEGO has the license to Days of Future Past (I could totally be wrong about that) but my guess is that we could see more comic ones like 6866. Maybe, we would even see X-Men minifigures that look like the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Videogame's characters.

I would love to have the Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Gambit, and Colossus minifigures and it would be even cooler to get Wolverine with his mask and not painted on his back torso.

Lego does not have the licence to X-Men movies, they reside with Fox. However, as Lego have just signed a deal with Fox for Simpsons then it is possible that if that goes well further deals for Fox owned IP's could bear fruit, but for now all X-Men lego sets will be based on Marvel owened comic/animated stuff.

The X-Men IP is owned by Marvel. Fox has the distribution rights to the current film series, and very well might have licensing provisions that prevent LEGO from selling sets under its current deal, but in no way, shape or form is the IP owned by Fox. Fox simply has the IP rights to distribute and produce films based on the X-Men property.

I love that cowl, it's awesome. The pointy ears look great and should have been what they did on Batman's re-designed mask

This was a second pic from @CM4S's link. Isn't this the Beware the Batman minifig for 76012? He's got the bley hands.

Perfect hairpiece, knew they'd get that right! Does she have any accessory's though? Hopefully if so something different than a Baterang

Eh. I was hoping for a BTAS-style Batgirl. Not sure I like the purple and gold.

He also has a yellow head, which the new superheroes don't have. Judging by the location of the original poster (on bricklink) and peoples following comments, I'd say these figures 'walked' out of the factory... so it's probably the batman torso that someone has stuck some random parts on to make it 'complete'.

Noticed this image with a grand opening coming up. Participants can help build an 8-foot tall Hulk, but the image is of what looks like a "Sculptures Yoda-style" Hulk.

Boy, would that be great to see as a set available to buy.

@geddes - Looks like a great Minifigure to me, just as I would want Batgirl to appear, so I hope it is real.

Is it too soon to theorise about the new villains we might be getting other than Man-Bat? Killer Croc was rumoured but no evidence has been forthcoming.
  • GeddesGeddes Member Posts: 574
The more variation of heroes and villains the better! New marvel game mini figure models look great, i hope they tap into it

@BrickDancer - I may have missed some sarcasm (it is difficult to tell) but I think it is safe to assume that he is included from the name of set #76011 Man-Bat Attack :o)

Okay, I know this isn't a 2014 Superheroes questions and this is the closest theme I could find. If there's a closer one, by all means put this post into it. I have to ask though because it's driving me nuts. It might be a dumb question but I was looking through some extra pieces in my accessory bucket the other day and I came across these batman accessories that are at the top middle and right corner of this photo. What are these? The hole doesn't fit around a LEGO minifig's neck so it can be a collar of some sort. What could they possibly be? I guess you could fit them on the bo staff for Robin for a cool blade of some sort....?

I think it's very encouraging that they're basing a minifg on the New 52 without the need for a TV/film tie-in.
  • Jonn420Jonn420 Member Posts: 267
I always though that particular "batarang" resembled the rear stablizing propeler on a batcopter, so i figured at some point it was going to be or could be used for that.

This makes up for the lack of marvel action! Batgirl & Nightwing come on :)

This video has a couple of extra shots - a look at the back printing and alternative expression. I'm not completely sold on the hair but delighted about this. I don't go in for variants much, but I still want to track down the original to have both Nightwing eras.

^ Batgirl, who said Batgirl? Did I hear somebody say Batgirl?

Where, where, where? What set? When did this happen?

*Voice from the darkness shouts* Hey, you down there, what's with all that noise... Batgirl? Hold on... (He's asking about Batgirl dear... I dunno...I'll ask...), When did that happen? I see. In that case let us know when you find out.

Also... can anybody explain in a few sentences who Nightwing is. I mean, I know he's some kind of 'Robin' (with messed up hair and new duds), but beyond the makeover, what's his 'story'?

  • trickydicky0880trickydicky0880 Member Posts: 134
    @legomatt

Nightwing is the first Robin - Dick Grayson. You could basically say that he was sick of living in Bruce's Shadow so he decided to do his own thing. He got a new costume, a new hairdo which was a mullet (hey, it was the 80s), and a new name. He even decides to start fighting crime in New York instead of Gotham.

I don't like the hairpiece at all. But that can be easily solved.

  • nerick906nerick906 Member Posts: 430
Flash still looks like the best fig so far.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
All we need now is a new Alfred and Killer Croc to complete the rehash. Then a Cyborg and Martian Manhunter to complete the Justice League.
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
^ Then as many other Batman villains as we can get (I have Ra's Al Ghul, Mad Hatter and Killer Moth in mind)...
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^Also to that list Hush, Red Hood, Clayface, Azrael and a Batman Beyond version.

Joker fig image now listed. Looks like the Cad Bane cowboy hat in purple.

Didn't notice if this fig was revealed yet or not.

^ It was posted a couple weeks ago but it looks like the photo has been removed from Flickr.

I'm pretty sure the hat is just a fedora, like here:

I love that torso on the henchman, I desperately hope it is real.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^^Still didn't work for me on the direct link. But finally did when I click on the title at bottom left, which brings to page with small pic and comments section.

The torso looks okay, just wonder if he'll get printed legs to match. Also waiting to see what face they go with, hoping its the same clown but with different expression or detail.
