Castles Rule

A little about me:

I've been a long time Lego Castle fan. If it's gray, covered in battlements, and asking to be conquered, I like it. My favorite Castle themes are the Kingdoms, Fantasy--though I only have one set =( and the Black Falcon.

I have been funding my Lego castle building hobby through the buying and selling of other Lego themes. I've finally gotten to the point that I have enough bricks of the right colors to begin large scale projects. My most recent project, I have posted to Lego Cuusoo if you are interested. King's Castle Keep

Hopefully I will be able to learn some building tricks from all the great Lego builders out there.

At first I thought this was another goofy VBaskin2008 post but yes, I have always loved the Classic Castle line. Not so much into the newest line but did like the Kingdoms sets. Welcome aboard!

When I saw the title I thought "Castles have rules?" :-) If you're looking for an awesome castle I would recommend #9474, I just built it and it is an amazing set! I like your MOC too, looks great!

Oh, almost forgot :-P Welcome to the forum.

Sorry for being confusing. It was pretty recent that I saw #9474 from the back side to see that it is pretty cool. I think I may get it. Thanks for the welcome!

So I'm not the only one who loves the castle theme. I trie to collect every singel set since 1978 and have quit a collection. But still there's plenty I'd like to have. Please have a look at my "sets I own" on brickset. I'd love to hear anyone who has some sets I miss. Maybe we can work something out.

I have resigned myself to remove themes not City/town from my collection, but in that time I also started slowly gathering 80's Castle sets from my youth and holding on to them, so I have a bin with the original #6074 Black Falcon's Fortress, #6080 Kings Castle #6085 Black Monarchs Castle, #6067 Guarded inn, #6061 Siege Tower, #6030 Catapult, #6040 Blacksmiths shop, #6041 Armor shop and a fewer of the rarer early 90's Castle 'robin hood' type sets sets.
I just find it hard to let go of the sets I had and wanted as a youth.

I remember as a kid looking through the little magazines that Lego used to include in their sets and wishing I had money to buy those sets. Prices for those sets sure have gone up but so has my "Lego allowance."

I really like the King's Castle Keep, but I believe the pictures don't show the "folding playset" aspect enough.
