    I bit the bullet and placed an order for some Halloween sets and some series 11 to try to get one.
    If they are available during October with double points that would be icing on the cake, but I just did not want to gamble on missing out on one.

    I received my order that I placed last week 2 days before the announcement. It was a $80 order that I placed on my ipad through the mobile site and I didn't receive one.

    Just wait a few days and get double points + store employee minifig. I doubt these are that rare.

    I asked in store today (Stratford) if they knew if the UK would get them. The guy I asked knew nothing.

    Interesting. Just got an order placed last week (it was the LotR 79008 set) via the regular website (in the US). Had the pictured envelope in the box. With TWO polybags inside.

    Is getting two of them normal or was that a fortunate error?

    I got my small order yesterday and I didn't get one. My friend in a LEGO store said that they might be getting them soon though. Perhaps the [email protected] way is US only?

    An update, on my order.

    I am uk based ordered from the new mobile website ( definately), order arrived yesterday and did not get the shop minifigure.

    I suspect a USA item only at the moment.

    Thanks for that Rich, being UK based too I am desperate for one of these. I asked in-store the guy had no clue haha.

    Two identical polybags inside one yellow envelope as pictured above. Unless other people are getting two, I guess I got lucky. I order a fair amount but I can't imagine I'm a big enough buyer to get two on purpose.

    I just got my Palace Cinema that I ordered on the regular website before I even knew about the figure. I got one figure with my order. I am in the US.

    These things usually make their way over seas eventually, I believe the birthday cake polybag was given out in the UK for store anniversaries.

    I tried using my 10% discount coupon at a Lego store in the US and they didn't take it when I tried to buy the Winter Market. She really gave no reason why but their new policy states it excludes exclusives and hard to find items. Anyways, I called customer support and they said they would send me a me a key chain for my troubles. Well they sent me the Close Trooper Lieutenant and the store employee mini-fig.

    It will be interesting to see if the minifig comes with the [email protected] order I just placed. It would be nice, but not upsetting if I don't get it.

    Same thing happened to me when after over a month my Best of Brickmaster had not shipped yet. When [email protected] was contacted over the phone, they said that they would send me a $25 gift card. The gift card never arrived.

    I bought Palace Cinema yesterday at the Cardiff store and got the extra points but no freebie. Apparently I was between promotions!

    I got one in my box. I ordered the Delorean set at the Lego store (they were out of it). It arrived today with the yellow envelope and figure inside. I am in the US

    I placed a Pick a Brick order from [email protected] back on 9/25, and was told on 10/1 it had shipped. I am hoping it arrives with this polybag included...

    From I notice from pick a brick that the free offer is shipped way before the pick a brick is, and comes quickly compared to the order.

    Buy something small, you will get one. You probably ordered too early.

    If that's the case, then I probably won't receive one. I have not seen anything from Lego regarding a shipment with just the poly.

    I am in the US, and I ordered a couple of Halloween sets and a bunch of Series 11 and got one, will need to see if one appears with my PC.

    I gotta admit, I was positively stunned when I received mine. I got my package the day this thread started but I hadn't seen it yet, so finding it in the box when it was little more than a rumor was really exciting. I will honestly be shocked if these little guys aren't shipped out by the tons this month.

    When I got mine, I order the next day after this was first posted. I only order a 20 item, but I did order from my phone and I did a survey they sent me in a email, before I order. The survey was about the new mobile site. Not sure if that will help anyone.

    You don't have to order from your phone, you don't have to order a certain amount of dollars. And I agree with @Brickarmor that there will be tons of these shipped out. Good thing there is no "limit one per household" or people would start arguing again...

    Lego messed up the order for our granddaughters' birthdays and when the missing set arrived they got the Lego Shop Minifigure. I suggested they put it away because of the girl's age.

    I'm in Canada and getting an order shipped to a friend in Florida (Sanford) hoping to get the minifig. If I ordered today, who would they likely use to ship it and / or do you think it would arrive by Friday? Looking to place order tonight. Sorry it's a little off topic.

    @congruence, they use Fedex and sometimes USPS via Fedex. Should be there by Friday but it depends on how long they take to process the order. They will give you a tracking number.

    I placed an order October 1 and it arrived yesterday. The promo was included in the box with the rest of the sets (sans my PAB order, which is apparently on its way from Poland...).

    Placed a 99 dollar order and received one and placed a 25 order and received one. So outside of this being a US thing I doubt there is any criteria
