Ah, that's nice. Anyone in the US want to trade one with me? :-)

Interesting. Is this only available at the Discovery Center? I'm sure they just put it out early. It should be available soon at US [email protected]

this was in the US legoland in yonkers NY, not sure if they are at any of the regular lego stores yet
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,333
i would love to get one of these.

I recently told my wife about Thanksgiving. She was appalled and swore to never celebrate it again. The funny thing is that I can trace my mother's ancestral history back to the Mayflower. I am part Native American as well on my fathers side. Crazy.

@Pitfall69 There have been quite a few Polybags that have only been available in the US at Legoland/Discovery Centers and not Lego stores or [email protected] so I wouldn't necessarily expect to see it anywhere else. The Uruk-hai set was one of those.

Ahhh. Maybe at Five Below stores possibly.

Isn't though? I sense the sarcasm ;) Well, if I can ever get my hands on anything US Only, I will try to help out

Maybe if they release a Guy Fawkes Lego set in the UK, you can send one over to me ;)

No sarcasm. I think it's cute and as we don't get Thanksgiving polys over here, I would be interested in trading for one.
I traded Team GB minifigs with overseas Bricksetters when they were exclusively available here.

Ok. I guess I misread the "Ah, that's nice" as sarcasm :)

I had one of my clients pick up a box of Team GB while they were at the Olympics.

    How much was it?
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ Probably either $3.99 or $4.99. I think that is the standard pricing for the DC poly's. Might be more at Legoland if they have them there though.

Yeah, it is the day you stuff yourself so you don't need to eat on the next day, as you are going to be too busy shopping with not enough time to stop and eat.

Yes, but it's rather like knowing what's in sausages; most people who know just don't care and enjoy it anyway.

I think they will. I just called my local store and he said they don't usually get these until mid October. Wouldn't be surprised if they are on [email protected] as well in Seasonal.

Depends on your perspective, it's not black and white. One could focus on the positive fact-based amalgamation of anecdotes of the holiday's origins rather than the negative stories of celebrations of early massacres of the native population in a less enlightened era. Choosing to reflect and give thanks for what one has doesn't mean one is also celebrating those massacres.

And in any case, we all know what the majority of us Americans are celebrating that day anyway - football and shopping!

Just popped in here to remove some debris from the track, wouldn't want it to cause a derailment.

Personally, I'm just celebrating a new poly, for that I am always thankful, and if anyone is in a giving mood...

Is there a chance that this is another of the seasonal variants like Spring, Summer and Autumn scenes, and therefore it could be available more widely? Have we seen any sign of a "winter scene" yet? (outside of the WV and Christmas sets, of course)

A Thanksgiving feast without popcorn, pretzel sticks, toast and jelly beans is no feast at all.

Actually my mom cooks smoked sausage for Thanksgiving in addition to the Turkey, just another flavor to have for the table. I'm guessing that is what LEGO is trying to convey and not a hot dog.

They should have used these round tiles for canned cranberry sauce slices....

...I've begun to alphabetise my polybag-boxes so I can find the ones I need - I've filled (and overfilled) A to O, I'm hunting around for a "P" now...

The girls top seems a bit strange. It looks like it should be for a princess. I wish they would have chose something that doesn't look so theme specific.

^ - Thanks, @CCC, but it's the BOXES which are alphabetised, not the sets - even I am not quite that OCD! I just meant that I need a cardboard box I can designate as the "P box". ;-)
