The TRU website lists a Star Wars 3 pack that I haven't seen in stores at all. It looks like it is #75015, #75016 and #75019.

    http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=22711596

The Brickset DB lists #66456 and #66473 as 3 packs without images so perhaps this is one of those? On the TRU website when I try to zoom in on the image, the zoom is for a different image than the non-zoomed image.

TRU also has deals active at the moment for Rewards Members where you get 10% back (up to $100, if you spend $1000) of spending on Toys between earlier in September and October 31, sent as a gift certificate in November.

    http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=22728326

Additionally, they have a 20% off "Friends and Family" single-use coupon for Thursday - Saturday this week, with promo code FRIENDS20.

    http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=22728306

edit: The promo code for 20% off is valid on sale items and clearance too, not just on regular-priced items like TRU typically restricts.

FRIENDS20 Promo code does not yet appear to be live but TRU has just removed most of theirs LEGO discounts online. There are some interesting things in stock and not marked up so we'll have to see how it plays out. Additionally, they have placeholders for Bricktober minifig sets but no pictures yet...

looks like all the exclusives are labeled 'Hot price item - cannot be discounted with other offers' so coupon codes will not touch them. Too bad, seemed like the last shot at getting a deal on some of those.

    friends20 is live

So Toysrus removes all previous discounts and "raises" its prices above MSRP for "friends and family". Such a loving and familial gesture. I can't wait to get my order in....

@weevin looks like #66473 is http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=22711596 based on the inventory (contains Jango, Stass Allie, Coleman Trebor etc)

#66456 seems to be the clone wars one recently reported with the Z95/BARC/AT-RT sets (I see Yoda/Rex/Obi-Wan/Pong Krell parts)
  • weevinweevin Member Posts: 34
@murphquake - Oh yeah, thanks. I figured there was a way to tell them apart; I just couldn't figure it out.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
Weathertop is a good price, and I was able to pick up Fallingwater at msrp-20%.
  • canon03canon03 Member Posts: 364
^ Weathertop isn't as good a price as it would seem as MSRP is $60, so TRU is only $5 off. However, amazon appears to be sold out so any discount is better than nothing...especially if it's on its way out and you don't have one already.
  • BrickarmorBrickarmor Member Posts: 1,258
#9472 works out to be about $46, and you'll get 10% back with the Rewards thing, plus your normal Rewards points. So thank you, TRU, for lining up the flaming hoops for us to jump through to nearly get a good deal. :P

^ I'm relatively sure the 10% Reward special is in place of the regular Rewards points, or at least that was the case last year.

    Ahhh TRU..
Was going to pick up a load of road plates seeing as they were not listed as a 'hot price' item, but them the code was refused.. why? because they are deemed 'hard to find' as well... What a joke.
I guess I should not be surprised by this.

Anybody know if the 20% coupon stacks in store with the Y-Wing set on-sale?

Anybody know if the 20% coupon stacks in store with the Y-Wing set on-sale?

Considering madforLEGO's post above, probably not; it's a TRU exclusive.

Ahem, $5 off of MSRP is good for TRU....

I found the new coast guard ship for $64.99...Msrp is $79.99 so pretty sure TRU made a mistake. They honored the 20% off coupon so I was able to get two for $51.99 each, plus 10% holiday dollars ( or what ever TRU calls them). Not a bad deal. This was in owings mills Maryland do ymmv

^ #60014 is also on tru.com for $65.99 but it does not let you apply the coupon online.

Ooh, I'm going to have to check this out tomorrow. My son really wants this set. Although he still thinks Lego boats will float...
  • PoochyPoochy Member Posts: 479
^ This one supposedly does, actually (or at least the box said so).
  • itsnotmeitsnotme Member Posts: 126
    ^ #60014 does float!

    Oh wow, thanks guys!

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the 3 minifigs. Wonder what they are?

There is a long-standing older series of Floating Boats from the 80s as well. I'm sure you knew that. But here's the link to the series on BL. There are a couple with a battery-powered propeller as well.

Coupon did not work at the store but when I told cashier that I knew someone who got it for $51.99 he price adjusted it for me! :-) Thanks @wrangler6915!
And thanks @prevere for the boat info!

The coupon is too good to be TRU. It is usable for sale items. Only thing is that the sales ended early this week! Consolation, there may be a B1G150% coming up from what the associate told me.
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
By the way the Y-Wing works with the coupon on-line, but the price is higher than in the store.
  • BrickarmorBrickarmor Member Posts: 1,258
Yeah, I was really hoping to use the coupon to get the Lion Temple down to around $80, but no. The lady shopping with her 6 year old was thrilled to get my coupon though!

I TRU-ly hate this store and their pricing games.

If someone thinks they will get a better deal for a TRU BOGO50 then they have not been paying attention lately.

I found a MF Creature From the Black Lagoon crushed for $4.90. Since I was a valued Friend and Family, they even knocked another dollar off it. I think we can put to bed the idea that one can no longer find good deals at TRU. ;o)

On an unrelated note, they charged me $3.19 per CMF even after the discount because $3.19 turned out to be a "Hot Price" for this item.

How can it be a hot price item tru? Its over retail!

Not even showing up on the site now. Nice snag. Way cheaper than fooling with actual bricktober too. Wish I would have even considered doing the same.
  • jdylakjdylak Member Posts: 281
Are any of those figures exclusive? I'm sure tho if any are, the could prob be assembled easy enough.
  • chuckpchuckp Member Posts: 684
^^ Indeed. The 2012 Bricktober promo required a $60 purchase to get the minifig pack each week.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
@margot how much were they apiece again from those links? I don't remember seeing the price.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
$19.99 but came out to $15.99 with the Friends20 promo.

Could you post the set numbers, please, so I can get them added to the database?

    Thanks
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
@Huw, on the back of the sets:
    set 1- 5002146 item:6056439
    set 2- 5002147 item:6056440
    set 3- 5002148 item:6056441

Not sure which is the correct number so I'm giving you both.

Has anyone in the US see these? I hope they have some at the store tomorrow.
  • juggles7juggles7 Member Posts: 451
I saw the first set at a TRU store today in the US. They were with the Lego storage gear items. It scanned at 19.99, and the packaging read Not For Sale on the back. I didn't purchase, just passing on the info.
  • mrseatlemrseatle Member Posts: 410
Wow, that would he cool. I want to get set #2 & #3 for sure, will try to get #1, but if I miss it I won't cry... Also want that Giraffe polybag.

I saw the Giraffe poly at my local TRU in Phoenix AZ

Would someone be willing to check the progress of their 10% back reward and let me know if it's working correctly? I just looked at mine and it is showing a 1% rate for my purchases, not 10%, and 3 purchases are missing entirely, and they're not giving me any option for a retro-credit even though I was logged in when I made all the purchases...

Based on that, I would advise *everybody* to check!
