I was lucky enough to pick up the Agents sets at the time they were available. I agree with @rancorbait, for me they are up there with the best licensed themes, #8653 is my favourite non-licensed set by some distance, the number of features and fun packed into the model is extraordinary!

@rancorbait: I need #8637, #8630 and #8971. Volcano base is the main one I want though. Thanks for the offer of the hose @cheshirecat, I may well take you up on that.
#8635 is indeed also one of my favourite sets ever. Just love it. (And that projector is very cool).
I also am inordinately fond of the sound brick in #8634 :-))

At Southport Air Show yesterday I agreed to do a Wild-west style gallows, along with Horse-drawn Hearse, for display at STEAM next month.

So I spent this morning building the items below. It took some experimentation (and a little bit of time) to figure out the best way of making a working gallows, but I'm pretty pleased with the end result :)

    @LostInTranslation, @CapnRex101, @rancorbait and @cheshirecat:

Spent the last hour disassembling (and dusting off) #8971 Aerial Defence Unit (Agents) to make way for a couple of other Agents sets that have been waiting to be built for nearly 12 months.
Forgot how intricate the inner mechanism of the Aerial Defence Unit helicopter actually is! Completely forgot about the jetski stowed in the back too.

Deffo my fave Agents set after the Command Centre. Haven't got round to building the Volcano Base or Deep Sea Quest sets yet though so I might change my mind :-)

@LostInTranslation - I own #8630, #8632 and #8631. I hope to get a few more yet, most of all #8634. have you looked into bricklinking #8637? It may well be cheaper. That's what I might try anyway.

@Paperballpark where are the skeleton/skull combo that we mentioned?

    Very good though.

@pricey73 Thanks! I don't have a skeleton, but I might hide a skull under the scaffold or in the barrel...

Any ideas welcome on how to display my minifigures :)

#9472 - three sets (thank you amazon.uk) and three family members, well obviously a race was necessary :).

My daughter's about halfway through and has named one of the wraith's horse Rainbow.

Built the #9500 that I picked up on clearance at Walmart yesterday. I love the ship, but the build was a bit repetitive. I guess that's what happens with SW sets most of the time, though.

Just worked on all the modulars for the past few weeks.

I don't have the palace cinema yet and had to leave half the pet shop out of the picture due to space limitations.

Very, very nice! I particularly like the clever and accurate half-build of the Globe Theatre.I spot Julius Caesar, The Tempest, the Forest of Dunsinane from Macbeth...what have I missed?

Just enlarged the first pic and realised my mistake...the appearance of Bottom in the forest makes that A Midsummer Night's Dream, and I now spot Hamlet in the graveyard...I really love this! :-)

Is the mountainous area not part of the Macbeth scene? With the three witches.

@CapnRex101 those Shakespeare scenes are absolutely fantastic, I'm seeing Julius Caesar, A Mid Summer Night's dream and I think Macbeth but not sure on anything else.

@CapnRex101 Nice work! Love how you combined several scenes onto pne baseplate! (also a great excuse for me to enjoy Shakespeare ;-P)

As for me, at the moment I'm having a little building challenge with rancorbait as to who can create the best tank-based-on-a-Bugatti-Veyron MOC. I know, sounds absurd now but they'll look great when we're done I'm sure! :-)

Tonight should be #76005 and #76007, and trying to work out how to fit #8403 in the middle.

Initial build of my modified Friends Dolphin Cruiser. It's a little rough at this point but more work to be done.
#41015De-Freinding and extending. by ljmlego, on Flickr">Lego Dolphin Cruiser <a href=#41015De-Freinding and extending." />

Have not done any interior or extra details yet. Am going to change the windows to smoked ones, also add windows to the openings along the middle above the current windows. Out the back in to is going to be a Heli-Pad.

I really should have thought about it more before placing my Bricklink orders as I am now going to have to do another.

Anyway, all I've got so far is the helmet but I'm hoping to build the rest of him too. I also plan to make a bust the size of the Darth maul one of Sauron :-)

Those jazz mosaics are amazing. Did you use a program to do them or are you a person with a huge amount of talent? Perhaps both. Wonderful work.

I used Pic2Brick. So no, I didn't create them from scratch. I picked the images I wanted to do and cropped them they way that I wanted that fit the size I knew they were going to be. In the program there are a lot of different ways it can generate the mosaic and you can configure how many color ranges you want and specify which colors for which brightness ranges (when it isn't a color image) etc. So there was a bit of tweaking that was my own but I am definitely not talented enough to do that free hand. =)

@Basta- I really like the Dolphin Cruiser, but I'm not a big fan of the Friends figures and colors. Your new and improved version looks great. Have you thought about changing out the Friends figures with regular minifigs? I was thinking the S10 Sea Captain and seagull would look great on your MOC. Also, S10 Trendsetter and S9 Hollywood Starlet as passengers. S9 Waiter could serve drinks. And, if you have a Mr. Gold- well he could be the yacht's owner.

Hope you don't mind the suggestions. I just want to get those Friends figs off that great boat. ;)

Picked up a couple of #9462 from WH Smiths on buy 1 get 1 50%, for me and my youngest yesterday. And #76007 from Tesco for £26.

Just had a relaxing couple of hours putting them together.

Just got finished building the UCS Slave 1 designed by Anio on Eurobricks. It is slightly bigger than 6209 but not really that much and has some parts designed the same/similar but does a much better job in a lot of places. Third pick is UCS on left 6209 on right.

  • graphitegraphite USMember Posts: 3,240
    @LegoMom1 Thanks! They are 20" x 40" (64 x 128 studs). 8 baseplates each.
