A person could mark a part with something like "moc=Godzilla" or "loc=basement" or "collection=Siercon" or whatever else they might need in the way of metadata tags.
The problem with this method of kludging a tagging feature (as opposed to building a table) is that the user is up against the constraints of the field length... which is maybe OK, but the more tags you enter, the greater the danger of running out of space. Experienced iTunes users have seen this kind of thing before. It's what we do to compensate for it not providing a true relational database, but it's limited.
