^ Very clever! ;-) That just put a smile on my face after having to deal with the dreaded Bricklink 'wrong part in order' situation!
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ Glad to see someone else got one built and to hear you were all happy with it. I really don't like the html directions that get generated. I always use the LDD file directly but with multiple people working on it I'm sure it was easier to be able to give partial sections like the arms to multiple people to do at once.

Mrs Q has made a request that I build a vignette based on our next show, "Into the Woods", to be displayed in our local library (as I did for the last show, "Oklahoma!"). Finally, she begins to see the worth of Lego! (Not the value, though - if she ever finds out how much I've spent on Lego in just the last few months, I'll be divorced and/or eviscerated.....)

Looks great! That's a rather unusual concert crowd isn't it? I love the lasers. :-)

Another fun evening working on my "Into the Woods" MOC....Grandmas's Cottage complete, Red Riding Hood being chased by the Wolf along the flower-lined path on woods-in-Spring side complete, Wicked Witch stirring cauldron in gloomy woods-in-Autumn side coming along. Just need to build a few more trees and scatter a few more flowers and toadstools about, and I'm done....and best of all, since I'm doing this at Mrs Q's request, there's no Meaningful Looks and Rolling Eyes coming my way! Bonus! ;-)

Photos will follow once I'm done. !

"Into the Woods" vignette completed (I think) - but too late to take photos. I'll try to get them done tomorrow night and upload them to Dropbox so I can reference them here.

Thanks, mate. It's good to have an idea in your head, and then discover you've already got most of the pieces - no matter how esoteric - to make it a reality. ;-) I'm finally starting to feel like I'm worthy of my membership to Brickset!

I put together #9396 Technic Helicopter last night, a really enjoyable build- but its so big! 3/4 scale Technic would be just perfect!

@carlq- Very nice indeed. You can be proud. I especially like the frog on the toadstool detail. Nice touch. Looking forward to seeing your next creation.

This past weekend I finally managed to acquire a desk from my mother that she's been stashing, so I just cracked the seals to my Fire Brigade. I should be busy the rest of the night.

I really enjoyed that build too. I thought the size was perfect and is one of the things I liked so much about it.

Well it's not pretty, but it gets the job done for now. A while ago I posted that I was rebuilding my GC with a couple of modifications. I wanted to slow it down and add a real (non-lego) music box. It wasn't too hard to do.

As promised, here's a link to Mrs pricey73's latest MOC, similar to @tedward and his giant minifigure, she built a robot version being built in a secret lair:-

It's on display at the Southport Air Show this weekend although its only on for Saturday as the Sunday show has been cancelled due to bad weather!

Just built #8633 (and won #8632 on eBay :-))
#8633 randomly makes me think of Austin Powers - "sharks with frickin' laser beams [missiles] attached to their heads!" - as well as with the Agent dangling perilously over the water. Awesome.

Only 3 more sets until Agents completion... though I think I may need to BL #8637. Man, that set is expensive! But so cool...

  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
@LostInTranslation - I used to have those sets, I kind of regret selling them... Agents is probably the best non-licenced theme ever.

Which three sets do you still need?
  • cheshirecatcheshirecat Member Posts: 5,331
@LostInTranslation i think i must be following in your footsteps, although i won a #8632 at the start of the week, but just missed out on a #8633 earlier today. I think i'll ignore Agents 2.0 so having already bricklinked #8637 (not too hard except for the lime green wheel, dark blue hose (i have a spare if you need it) and 1 of the stickersheets) that just leaves #8633, #8634 and #8636. The projector in #8635 remains the single best thing ive ever seen in a lego set.
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
I was lucky enough to pick up the Agents sets at the time they were available. I agree with @rancorbait, for me they are up there with the best licensed themes, #8653 is my favourite non-licensed set by some distance, the number of features and fun packed into the model is extraordinary!
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
@rancorbait: I need #8637, #8630 and #8971. Volcano base is the main one I want though. Thanks for the offer of the hose @cheshirecat, I may well take you up on that.
#8635 is indeed also one of my favourite sets ever. Just love it. (And that projector is very cool).
I also am inordinately fond of the sound brick in #8634 :-))
