Worst. Journalist. Ever.
Making a whole series of Simpsons is a good idea as it cuts down on rubbish small builds and also minimises repeat characters (especially if you feel for them), but I'd prefer them not to label it as CMF. Why not just call it Simpsons Series 1.
Just hope they live up to expectations...
I'm just scared by this: Does it mean the rumoured set list was whole put together by some bored AFOL and there won't actually be any sets? I hope not. Yes, we buy the licensed sets (and sometimes the regular ones, too) most of the time for minifigs, but I feel this time there are literally endless options of what to do as a set.
Maybe it simply means they'll all be LEGO Store exclusives? Though have we ever seen an entire licensed line only available in LEGO Stores? I suppose if The Simpsons LEGO is to be marketed more towards adults then that makes a bit more sense.
Either way, I'm already weary of the CMFs so a Simpsons series would be welcome. As long as they have a longer lifespan than regular series.
And Dancin' Homer...
^^^^ With regards to SDCC exclusives, if they happen, my money is on Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy. I used to collect Playmates Simpsons figures and had these guys:
They've created a monster.
Whereas having a separate series just for the Simpsons would make more sense - like Team GB was not officially part of the CMF line.
We're looking at a D2C Simpson House in April 2014, that being the only set, followed by a CMF wave (series 13) in May, with "Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, Itchy & Scratchy and more..." to be included.

In this sense, if they are S13, then they have significant effect on CMF collectors - there is crossing over of licensed minifigs into a non-licensed range. Much more so than SW has on City, for example. There is no crossover there.
