I think soon enough we'll have a part of list of all the extra parts required to build #41999 from #9398

For those that missed #41999 but have #9398 and a pile of spares form other sets, the instructions for #41999 are available on the lego website.

Almost all the parts are available through [email protected] Bricks & Pieces too.

Including the new wheels and new Blue/silver parts..? If they have all of those parts, this is great news for anyone that didn't get a 41999... Hopefully you can also buy the sticker sheets from them...

Saturday morning I was in the Lego store in the Rockefeller Center. To my surprise they had three #41999 on display. By the time I popped back to pick up the one they put aside for me, the other two had gone. Having said that I didn't ask if they had any round the back. So yes I guess some stores may still have some.

In Europe (not including UK) BOSS was back at least 3 times for several minutes. I guess the reason was that people were canceling their orders.

I wonder how long it takes to remove 41999 from [email protected] (Europe).

^^ what was it priced at at the Rockefeller store?

Got mine today in PERFECT immaculate 100% MINT condition, so glad i actually ordered it slightly later than i was going to so the free mini mech was shipped separately :)

Yes it was an annoying $219.00.

They always add a 10% "tourist tax" so somethings last longer than at the Queens store.
  • murphquakemurphquake Member Posts: 651
longstanding story that it has something to do with a non-compete agreement with TRU because of the major lego section/display they have at the Times Square store @dfurn @bluedragon

Today I picked up mine from the post office, straight from [email protected] Spain, arrived on 14th (I was on a vacation trip), and it was backordered when I got it on 1st August, luckily the free poly was sent in a previous shipment, so no damage to the box, mine is 11348.

By the way, I went through Copenhagen during my trip and visited the Lego Store, they had 1 left on 22nd August, it was not on the shelves, but behind the register counter.

The Lego stores around Chicago received more stock of this set this week, so other stores may be getting them back in too. Although I don't suppose they'll last long if they do. My wife picked one up for me yesterday while I was at work, and today a fellow LUG member reported that the Woodfield store was down to 2 in stock as of noon.

As of 3pm in Maryland, Hanover received 30 on Monday, only 9 remaining. Annapolis wouldn't divulge quantity, but from the tagged for pick up pile, I'd say about 20 received, 1 remaining. Both were very strict about 1copy per customer.

^Wow, amazing they had any left as of today.

    In CA:
-Costa Mesa store reportedly sold out by about noon Monday
-Mission Viejo store surprisingly lasted until 8:00pm or so Monday
-Glendale store likely sold out soon after opening Monday; they reportedly only received a very limited supply
-Anaheim store reportedly received no stock (check back Thurs)
-Ontario reportedly received no stock (apparently wont get any more)

Online says sold out correct so that is all besides stores. I called my local one they said the had 4.
  • mooman66mooman66 Member Posts: 122
Only 2 now on the shelves in Hanover, md. If you wish to believe it, the manager claims that he will continue to get shipments because he has not received the official notice that they will no longer carry it. He expects to have them in and out for the next couple of months. Like I said, believe if you wish.

I was thinking of getting two but I am not sure if it is worth it. Even if that is somewhat true with not limited ones

As of 10:45am EDT all Lego stores received a communication that they were not to ship the #41999 any more to customers. From this point forward they will only be sold to walk up customers. This being done to ensure that no more than 2 are sold to physical address.

^^ im surprised they were shipping them to begin with. that should have been an obvious no from day 1. I'm certain my store would have refused even without the directive

^Sorry, was that a question to me?

I'll answer it all the same. It'd be nice to understand where claims such as these come from. Was it in a communique you interecepted? Was it your brother in law? Was it your cat?

I had a nice surprise. 2 of these arrived today that I had forgotten about as when I ordered from [email protected] they went sold out a couple of hours later. I did get my free poly and a mail saying these were sold out. Didn't expect them at all and had totally forgotten about them.

Now I think your being disrespectful to @Legoboy. Someone who is ' in the know ' and who has in the past disclosed valuable eol information on here. I for one appreciated it but why would I ask his source? What does that matter? I acted on his information that he shared. The worrying thing for me is that the people on this site who do know inside information won't bother to share it in the future because of the questions posed when they do.

I appreciate the lecture @Dad (that was fun to write), but if you review the thread, I think you will find that you are a bit confused as to who was asking what of whom.
  • DadDad UKMember Posts: 816
@tensor I'm not confused at all. One word questions are generally meant in a disrespectful manner, typed or spoken. @Legoboy just responded in the same manner as you asked the initial question. Would you agree?

I just called the Tyson's store and they are out. However, they claimed to be getting more in "Late September".

The Woodbridge store told me that they will not be getting any more.

Store in OK said the ones on the shelf were last ones they were getting

Likewise in Liverpool / Manchester and Leeds in the UK. I may be wrong though however I was speaking with the manager of Liverpool store.

I think "source?" is a pretty common question asked in a forum. First time I've ever heard it called disrespectful.

For what it is worth, the info is correct, the stores will not ship this set any longer.

^ Not here it's not. Certainly not in a one word fashion anyway, as @Dad points out.

That said, for any reputable member in the know to reveal their source would be kind of dumb, so pretty much a waste of time asking.

A few weeks ago I was told by a friend in New York this same information and I also read on some forums that the Lego Stores were going to be getting more in between August 26th and 28th and those would be the final sets, so it wasn't really a secret... I even made a post about it here and was politely questioned on the source... I guess the "rumors" were true...

YellowCastle asked me a 2 word question basically the same manner that the poster above was... It is expected... I certainly didn't take it as being disrespectful... Most people here that are "In the know" just got their info from someone who works at a Lego store anyways.. :)

Hi all, I've seen a few topics regarding this set and today in my local lego store saw the set available for sale at a whopping $250. The staff was super excited about this set and kept trying to convince me to get it. I understand it's some limited edition set with plates of unique production numbers on it but why does it seem so popular? To me it looks just like a technic version of a cuusoo set. Do you think it's the resellers grabbing them thinking it's so limited and in turn creating all these hypes? Or are people really excited about it?
  • MathBuilderMathBuilder Member Posts: 150
@josephliyen, I think your questions might be better answered if you post this in the "Predictions on Discontinuing Sets..." thread.
But I do have a question for you, in which country was the store located?
In USA it should have been $200.
  • josephliyenjosephliyen Member Posts: 24
    Sorry I should've said it's in Canada.

I just got 2 of the #41999 at the Sacramento Lego Store. They had 6 left in stock but would only sell 2 to a person. There were people calling on the phone asking for them but they wont hold them so you have to show up to grab them.

I was told 2 to a household. And then I was actually only allowed to buy 1 despite coming in with my wife because I brought in a damaged one from [email protected] to exchange. This means I was being effectively held to a two lifetime maximum. I don't think many stores are being that rigid. Oh, the perks of being one of the store's best customers [sarcasm].
  • ckenda1ckenda1 Member Posts: 121
They had 5 left yesterday at the Arundel Mills Store in Hanover, MD. Limit 1 per person. The store was packed and no one seemed too interested in them honestly.

OOS. Lasted ~30 mins. Placed an order, got acknowledgment, we'll see.

Anyone have an "extra" for sale? My fingers have been much too slow every time it has come for sale on retail sites... would love one to build. I'd pay shipping of course. Shoot me a PM if this is possible, although I completely understand if it is not :o)

I may be able to hook you up with a 41999.

Thanks to @sidersdd though, I'll be taking a LEGO break here soon :o)
