I went down into my basement a little while back, discovered a LEGOLAND bag behind a few boxes, and to my surprise it contained an mint condition, unopened #66308 Star Wars 10th Anniversary Super Pack I had forgotten all about. :)

Since I have shifted my collection more towards LotR/Hobbit these days, I am considering selling it to fund the sweet looking #10237 Orthanc. I checked Bricklink, and I see sets in similar condition listed for $220+. I knew the #8017 Darth Vader's TIE was worth a bit, but it seems like a lot, even for a relatively limited, discontinued set.

I would prefer to sell it to a bricksetter for a fair price (because you are such a nice lot), so what do you think I can get for it?

i think the tie was one of the sets that had the possibility of a chrome vader in it - i wonder how much of that drives up the price?

I just saw one for sale for 75$. It looks in superb condition. Guy says it was glued by Lego Store employees back when it was first displayed. Now this is an old set, what type of glue was used back then and is it worth buying for 75$?

Do you have any pictures? I would love to see it. Does the motor still work? If it works then I would say its definitely worth $75.

I would buy it in a heartbeat. In fact, if you want to make some quick money, buy it and sell it to me.

I don't know the type of glue that was used, but I can tell you that if it saw time in any store, it was a Toys R Us. I have indelible memories of running immediately to that display every time I went to TRU as a kid. LEGO stores didn't exist back then.

It is on Craigslist in my area and just wanted to know because most people say glued sets are worthless

I wonder if there are any good ways to dissolve the glue without damaging the bricks? Seems like there should be some options especially with the glue being 20+ years old

Looking at the pictures, the bricks appear to be fairly discolored. It looks like it was sitting in his garage for the past twenty years. Also it's not a complete set. As long as the train is not glued to the track and you really want it then I would offer him $35 and see if he counters. You could probably make some money off of it on ebay, but I wouldn't want to try to ship that.

Unfortunately, due to the condition I would definitely pass on it at $75.

For those that remember, was there a back drop to it? It seems a little sparse for a display. I was hoping to see a cool star field in the back ground and moon base plates.

Just out of interest, I've been toying with the idea of selling my 2006 batcave, thing is it has no box or mini figs, but surely this must still be worth something as it's discontinued?

I would be interested, depending on the price you come up with.

    I'm looking for £50, I think that's fair,

I'd also be interested depending on price. The cheapest available on Bricklink are around the €200 mark, but those are with minifigs - there doesn't seem to be a listing without. The minifigs really drive the value of these sets, so their exclusion would bring it down a bit.

Hi Kevtee - if your selling it for £50, I'll get it from you. Apart from the missing minifigs & box, i assume everything else is present.Do you ship overseas? Pls PM me for details on payment etc. thanks

If you ship overseas, I'll pay $70 for it.
