I'm supposed to be cutting the grass......

Thinking about opening a bricklink store, not so much to make money, but rather to keep up with my trade inventory. Got alotta Clone Wars stuff to part with. I really want that Phoenix sdcc exclusive.....my Wolverine agrees!

I also think that the reason Lego hasn't put a set with Flash out is because they can't decide if it should be Wally or Barry either.....

Just got home from Legoland Windsor today, unusually busy there today. Yes, I did do an impulse buy there, but my idea of an impulse buy is a Galactic Titan! If anyone asks, I got £8 off the regular price, not bad. :-)
Well, it was worth waiting in the 20 minute long queue for the checkouts I guess!

I really want to go there some day, rarely in the area though which is annoying.

Always good when a package arrives in the post with that wonderful Lego type rattle.

^ Is that box incredibly large, or are those posters deceptively small?
  • TheOneVeyronianTheOneVeyronian Member Posts: 1,372
^^ I have posters a bit like that in my room too. I can see that picture of that Bugatti Veyron behind the package!
The box is a common sight for me too in my house :-) I get excited when a new box turns up at my front door! Suspect the next one's not too far away...

I keep meaning to get posters printed of my cars but never quite get around to it, plenty of photo shoots of them though.
Veyron was a free print from Evo but not really something I'd want, I like my cars a little raw and difficult to drive and mentally loud!, very very fast though.
It's always an exciting day when random packages turn up, can only mean two things, Lego or car parts!!

Finished my new #70709 Galactic Titan... but somehow it feels quite small despite the set having over 1000 pieces. I guess, after building Orthanc, everything's gonna feel small! :-)
It's got some weight to it though.

Building the 'factory' version of the Creator Family House, #31012.

Just built this last night. Very cool.
Also finished the Passenger Train, our first train, it's brilliant.

@TheOneVeronian It turns out the seller bought it assembled and never took it apart to rebuild it. The parts seem to have been replaced with parts of another color which aren't all that noticeable so he would not have necessarily known. He has offered to replace the missing parts, and I agreed not to charge him for the parts we have in bulk. In the end I think we'll both be okay with this solution.

Threw out a smattering of Even-Worse-Than-Megabloks bricks from a bulk buy I have been sorting and it felt really good.

Got a bricklink order through with some CMFs and assorted bricks :D
Bricks were supposed to be new but clearly not :-(
Wife told me she won a Lego competition from Smyths online :D
The Lego is hero factory :-( My son will love them, he's 3 1/2 so not a total loss.

Today is a bit of a mixed bag.

After last time, I told myself never again. But here I find myself sorting another 55lb lot of bulk Lego.
Can any of you spot the sets from just the one picture?

Thank you! I may have to take a better quality picture and issue a challenge in the "name that piece" thread tonight.
  • HarryPotterLoverHarryPotterLover Member Posts: 238
@CupIsHalfEmpty Judging by the giant wall panels i see near the top and bottom and some jail cell pieces near the top-left you've got SOME KIND of castle, but it could be pretty much any castle of that nature,so it doesn't narrow it down much

@CupIsHalfEmpty- Another exo force piece at the bottom. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=6070pb02R&colorID=63&in=A there are also pieces of the engines from #7661, one is at the bottom right and the other at middle top of the pic.

Well, the only set that has both http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4444pb04 and the jail door assembly is #9376 ;that seems like an odd set to have though.

^^^ Yes, please do; I've never found a decently priced lot myself but always find it fun to sort out what sets might be in them.
  • HarryPotterLoverHarryPotterLover Member Posts: 238
^ Although thats just my guess, a jail door could be anything from Castle to City to Batman

    As far as Lego status.....

Was thinking what if Lego made a collectable game to the vain of Magic: The Gathering or Yu gi oh....came to the conclusion that there are enough prickly AFoLs already. (why must this preposition be abbreviated? )

Given that LEGO seems comfortable with pseudo-blind packaging in the form of CMFs, it surprises me they didn't try this with something like Heroica, Ninjago, or Chima. A player vs. player game where your character can benefit from upgrades purchased in boosters might have generated some interest from kids.

Because it takes less time to type?

Just rejiggered my City, it's surprising what a difference a few road plates can make, although seeing all my stuff lined up on my bed really opened my eyes as to how many vehicles I actually have.

Finished my first themed MOC (starship frigate) which is terrible and a hackjob and was annoying yet fun as heck to build.

Haven't found any good steals at yard sales or clearance aisles since the beginning of June.

I had a dream last night about being at a PAB wall in a new city and finding out they had candy in some of the bins. Wait correct that, it was a nightmare.

I played the first level of Batman 2 before my daughter decided she wanted to watch Annie. The lighting on the first level was terribly dark. I couldn't see Batman at all, so I chose Robin. Pretty fun so far, but honestly I'm not really that hard to entertain.
Also putting a swing set together. The process would be going alot smoother if this company put as much effort into the directions like Lego does....

Went to a flea market, and after looking very hard, didn't find any old LEGO, which I thought I owujld considering all of the other stuff there was very old.

Just got to the end of nearly 8 kilos of Lego, sorting it through by colour. Fingers now sore from taking some of the half-built models apart, it's a wonder how I'm typing this! But it's a labour of love, and will be working my way through another 8 kilos later, oh the joy! :-D

Just spent the last hour+ catching up on this thread as I have not read it in a few months.

My Palace Cinema arrives tomorrow with the hot dog stand. I cannot wait! (My five-year old daughter has already claimed dibs on putting on all the sidewalk tiles...I will have to argue with her about who gets to apply the stickers as she always wants to do that).
