    THe Haunted House was revealed at this time of year in 2012. The WV set was announced in August.

    @cavegod I reckon so, its too early for the Winter Village, my bet is it will be Saturday as it's their main day but don't quote me on that.

    ^ Well, I'm not sure of the context of your "this test product."

    I thought it might be the roller coaster parts that Adam Tucker (designer behind most of the Architecture sets) is unveiling at the show. I wasn't going to reveal anything but found this on the Brickworld Presentation list, which is public info:

    Led by Adam Reed Tucker

    Brickstructures, Inc. will be unveiling the 2 year-in-the-making roller coaster kit project. Adam will be explaining the process of designing from concept through finished production alongside the engineers of Coaster Dynamics who will explain the physics behind it all and show several prototype models.
    I don't think Adam's work is being done in direct connection with TLG though. So if your "this test product" refers to something TLG is announcing, then it may be something else.

    ^ I hope not! I have been able to be OK with not having the Grand Carousel....that is unless they come out with a Roller Coaster. Then I will have to figure out how to get the GC too.

    The one I saw being set up today looked very similar to this one, so it will be interesting to see how this year's differs.

    Unfortunately, I can't see a Lego roller coaster being cost effective. Unless Lego develops pieces more like K'nex, the superstructure will just have too much plastic.

    Plus he's got to ramp-up the speed on that lift-chain :)

    Oh no why does the set have to get announced so late, im anxiously awaiting in the UK to see what it is, I suppose it will be announced in about 1 hour, and I presume it will be the Sydney opera house, if it isn't that I reckon it will be the winter village market but im preferably hoping for the BTTF set. :-D

    Absolutely amazing. So many cool parts. So many plates. Can't wait for the press release.

    For those that have seen set reveals at other shows, do they usually leave them up through the weekend? I'll be there tomorrow and I would love to see this in person.

    Ah, I was off by $20 in my guess. $320, while high, is actually pretty decent when you factor in the large parts you are getting.

    That is amazing! I like how he actually got the sails to look almost like the real thing, and i cant wait for that blue 48x48 baseplate.

    Nice... Looks like displaying it will be interesting if it is 48 studs deep, but since my wife is from Australia, clearly this is a must buy for her. :)

    I have been to the real thing, went to a concert in it, and yes, it does sound very nice. :)

    BTW, anyone know the part count and price? With all those plates. I'm not expecting the same deal that Tower Bridge is, but hopefully it isn't crazy.

    Yes... For once I'm going to say I agree... While it isn't the "deal" on price per part that Tower Bridge is, the parts are clearly larger here and the plates... Plates, plates, and more plates...

    I thought the part count would be a tad higher, but that is ok. Wonder when we'll have something to pass Taj Mahal's 5,922 part count...

    This will be an amazing build. Although they haven't achieved the right proportions for the sails this is an amazing effort in Lego and a thrilling set I'll have to get.

    Blue 48x48 baseplate! Cool. And all that dark tan and trans black. Looks like some of the 'tinted window' elements are black instead of trans black? That would be a shame, hope it doesn't make them look odd...

    Since i can't watch the video right now,can anybody tell me what kind of pieces form the sails? They kinda look like reversed boat-hulls,are they?!?

    They did the same thing with this set that they did with the Ewok Village, by making the part count only a few parts under a round number, EV was JUST under 2000 parts and this one is JUST under 3000 parts, i wonder why they keep doing this? marketing the set as a 3000+ piece set even if it is only by a few pieces wouldve seemed like the best thing to do? im a bit puzzled by Lego's antics as of recently :?

    However this is just beautiful regardless of the part count.

    This year and the next couple of years are going to be very memorable for Lego in terms of the sheer amount of quality sets that are going to be available :)

    Lots of curved sloped wedges, or shell bows I think Lego call them

    I am disappointed with the scale. It should have been larger. I would have paid double if it was done "right".

    I don't remember what they revealed in Chicago last year but I was there on saturday and don't remember seeing anything set up anywhere for it.

    Just watched the designers video, i guess i´ve never seen any video before where the designer is so proud and joyful of what he´s created! Nice to watch :)

    This set looks amazing... and also like it's pretty much certain to be a 'coffee table' set... which will really thrill my girlfriend.

    So would I... But TLG has to create a "commercial product" that will sell hundreds of thousands of copies... So this is what we get.

    BTW, I showed the video to my wife tonight, she actually wasn't all that impressed, but then she grew up with the real thing. She thought it looks "off" just a bit, too tall and not wide enough. It needs more of a "base" all the way around it.

    Of course, if they make it more than 48 studs wide, many people can't display it, same reason SSD is a foot or two too short.

    Wow that looks good! Even on my phone.

    However I'm slightly disappointed that it only has 3000 pieces for £250, although it seems a lot of them are larger pieces than in Tower Bridge.

    Plus, where on earth would I put it?! 64x39cm is large!

    I'll still end up getting it, but maybe I'll wait a little while for it to get reduced to under £200...

    Very nicely done. The sails are not nearly as good as a couple of other mocs I have seen but the rest of the building is simply fantastic.
