Oh? How come S11 won't get it's own thread?

I think this should be a new thread since the last one is primarily about predictions for series 10. Anyway, I think the female scientist looks suspiciously like the female scientist from the CUUSOO Female Minifigure project.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
^ Not really. The cuusoo one is a 3/4 length torso for the lab coat and short legs. Other than that, it was always going to be white lab coat and nitrile gloves.
  • chuxtoyboxchuxtoybox Member Posts: 711
Plus the other thread is now turning into a discussion about American baseball gloves. All we need to make it complete is for two other people to start discussing which Star Trek movie is better and add video clips of William Shatner. To bring it back to series 11, I like the yeti the best.

Really loving the Yeti and Welder. Can't wait to see more!

The Welder looks excellent, the Yeti is looking absolutely perfect but perhaps best of all in my opinion are the two new colours for the conical flask!
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
And hands in two new colours.

That Yeti is fantastic, instant favourite right there.
Just glad he doesn't have a Yellow icepop in his hand :)

I really love the colours of the Yeti. I hope LEGO doesn't only put 2 per box...
  • pillpodpillpod Member Posts: 273
^agreed. I'm hoping the yeti is one of the higher distributions...hopefully 6.

any other predictions on accompaning CMFs in the series? They normally do 2-4 "legacy" figs like these to add to previous series, with the rest as originals.

    hmmmm

    hmmmm

The list has been known since last november, it's on the other thread. There is the grandma to add to 10's grandad. And the Bavarian Lady for the Pretzel guy.

    Yeti
    Evil Mech
    Welder
    Lady Robot

    Jazz Musician
    Constable
    Holiday Elf
    Bavarian Lady
    Scarecrow
    Mountain Climber
    Grandma
    Tiki Warrior
    Gingerbread Man
    Barbarian
    Dinner Waitress
    Scientist

I'm still hoping the constable is a British Bobby style policeman.

Anyone heard what instrument the Jazz Musician will have?

Not sure yet, but I wonder if the new CMF book will be wrong ... (obviously since it lacks Series 11).

The Yetti and Welder are fantastic. End of summer release? We're getting 2 series per year? Hope this series does not feature a limited edition Mr. Platinum.
  • CurvedRoadPlateCurvedRoadPlate Member Posts: 257
    Looking back, 2012 had 2 series, 2011 had 3.
  • fourstudfourstud Member Posts: 1,370
^ Series 6, 7, and 8 were released in 2012. Series 6 yes, no where got it until about mid January, IIRC

I think the most iconic jazz instrument would be a saxophone. Hopefully it'll be a molded version and not what's in #10222. Unless they decide on a B.B King version, that is. I know I could go for a Lego Lucille.

Maybe not, but how about The Tin man in all his chrome glory. I know @samiam391 would love that. It would go well with the Scarecrow.

I like the look of the new line-up, correct me if I'm wrong but I heard these were being released in September, hopefully they do however I would like them sooner.
  • BeavBeav Member Posts: 303
Like everyone, the Yeti is an instant favourite, absolutely love him. The welder looks great too, excited about this series.
  • chuxtoyboxchuxtoybox Member Posts: 711
I was going to say that the Jazz musician would probably have a saxophone too. How about a full drum kit with brush style drum sticks? Then you'd be able to feel him out no problem. An upright bass?:} In my opinion I think the female robot is terrible. The design is too busy and the face is just bad.
  • BoiseStateBoiseState Member Posts: 804
Meh.. The lineup as a whole doesn't excite me. I like 10 much better.
  • chuxtoyboxchuxtoybox Member Posts: 711
Looking at the list again, I'd like to see what the holiday elf looks like. I'm a sucker for elves (elfs?) and gnomes. And I want a new gnome with new colors and perhaps a female.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,526
I imagine it will be similar to the S4 one, just with a child's face. It should do fine for Christmas, especially when combined with last year's Santa.

A LEGO guitar would be great but BB King is Blues not Jazz. There are still plenty of Jazz guitarists but I'm guessing it will be a sax as well. I'd prefer a trumpet though but whatever it is I hope it is molded and not that pieced together sax.

Thanks CM4S, they look fantastic, I can't wait for more pictures to come out :-D
(Edit: wa hoo, my 400th comment, now lets get it to 500)

Of course, I'd have to see an image of all 16 before I have totally made up my mind - but I know which three I want already!
I have a sneaking suspicion that they're gonna make the Yeti one of the rare ones, since aren't the ones everyone likes, or those with highly unusual moulds always rare? Yes, I'm looking at you, Medusa and Sea Captain!

I love the Yeti and Female Robot, they are both super cute.
I really hope that it's Jennifer Beals under that welding mask.

    I wonder how Lego comes up with their ideas for these minifigures. Do they have one team of designers and has it been that one team since the beginning. Does Lego have any way for people to make suggestions or do they just lurk on this forum?:}

The link is no good, it has been taken down. I have a copy in my cache, but won't post it. It may be that Lego asked for it to be removed.

Just google series 11 minifigures and you'll find the picture.

Once it's out, you can't stop the propagation. :-)

I was able to check only 4 pictures of the mini figures via Brickpedia.

That's all there is. Picture was of Evil Mech, female scientist, yeti and female robot. There was a picture of the gingerbread man in the lego club magazine.
