    Garage sale score today!

    #3971 (w/ box & inst)
    #8095 (w/ inst)
    Large bin random assortment
    Free unmarked medium Ziploc bag

No minifigs except for one built of random body parts & a TIE pilot helmet. Also found short brown legs & a Ron Weasley hair. Several non-LEGO pieces, slowly being offset by interesting unfamiliar LEGO pieces. It's fun hunting them down to see what sets they go to.

Extremely happy - picked up Attack of the Wargs for $18.00, as well as another Republic Striker-class starfighter for $17.00. Kmart is doing an additional 50% off all clearance toys, and boy did I get lucky!

Seller was a LEGO Star Wars fan. Lots of parts for Yodas house from #4502 & may try to Bricklink #6209 (Slave I) as I got the brown slopes, large windscreen, & most sand green parts. In anticipation my son already made reasonable facsimilies of IG88 & the Bespin Guard.

Downside: pulled a shoebox-full of MegaBlechs, BTR, & another brand. Good thing I talked him down $10.

Brought six massive boxes of mixed lego last week £150 for the lot. Sorting through it there's 20 different Harry Potter sets with all the figures, #7780, #7781, #7782 all with figures, a big black technic car, droid kit, Spielberg movie maker kit boxed and then loads of other stuff.

Went to a garage sale for a family leaving Cameroon this morning. Saw a big chunk of the AT-OT dropship on top of a box of random Lego. Grabbed all 8 boxes for 20,000cfa ($40). No idea what all I have or what is complete but saw a hull for a Viking ship, baseplates for the Temple of the Crystal Skull, some Batman 1, baseplate for Orient Expedition fortress, and all sorts of things. Will post a complete list once I have a chance to go through it. Super excited to have so much to build with, Lego is not exactly easy to come by in Africa.

I remember a couple of months bagging myself the major parts to a HP Hungarian Horntail dragon for £15. BrickLinked the missing parts for another £6 (from Germany), then sold it all for £50. Couldn't believe it when somebody bought it for that much!

What I thought was a good deal at $6.00 a lb for bulk has hubby grinding his teeth and doing everything in his power not to strangle me! Out of the 40 lbs of bulk at least half is Bionicle and ExoForce. Neither of us have any interest in these, so I pretty much paid a minimum of $12 a lb. My brag: He loves me enough not to let this become an issue. There are a LOT of instruction books, but some aren't good condition at all.

Just picked up temple of doom #7199 and peril in peru #7628 for $20. Came with 11 out of the 12 minifigures. Don't know if the rest of the sets are complete. Busy washing it. Kids are happy, but still convincing the spouse it was a good deal.

"Still convincing the spouse"??? Just show HER (I'll assume) the MSRP, thats all the proof you need.

Done Bricklinking the remainder of #6209, spent less than $5 for the parts I needed. Also built Yoda's house from #4502. Kids happy. They'll be happier when I surprise them w/ the Boba Fett minifig I secretly ordered!

Just picked up 4 sets of Ramses Pyramid for € 10 each, which is a real bargain imo only already since it has a nice baseplate in it with some usefull bricks for MOC'ing.

I bought the XT Starship #6780 on kijiji for $20 in it's original box. It was from an estate and I doubt was ever built as the white pieces had no fading even the hoses were straight, all the red/green lights were there plus extras. It even had the plastic top display insert. The other weird thing is that it was also the euro version of the set (I'm in Canada) so the piece count wasn't on the box. Oh yes and once i put in a battery the whole ship lit up.

Found an independent toy store today with a huge amount of CMF in stock. The best part is, an employee apparently has gone through and already labeled all the bags with a sticker to ID the fig. And, amazingly, they didn't go through and pick out all the good ones! Managed to find several between S5 and S10 on my want list, all at RRP. Not a "steal" by any means, but I was happy to pick up several in one go instead of paying for shipping on individuals figs.

I won an auction on Ebay a couple of weeks ago that I took a gamble on. Mixed in with a bunch of Mega and Knex pieces with misc. Lego was a #721 box with the lid closed. I got it yesterday and inside the box was a completely unused complete 721 inside, totally mint set for 78.00 w/shipping. Along with it were 2 each of straight, curved and standard base plates.

While still a great buy, I am rather frustrated by many aspects of this buy. Turns out someone got a couple boxes before I did so I think they have the bottom half of the AT-OT Dropship along with most of the minifigures to everything. Also have exciting/frustrating bits like the sails to Jabbas Sail Barge but not the whole thing, one wheel to the UCS Batmobile, the tractor and jeep from Peril In Peru etc. Best thing so far is I have 99% of a #10174 UCS AT-ST built from the lot, just missing a bit of greebling here and there which should be replaced easily.

A little late, but I found a #3843 at my local (and when I say local, it's 200 yards from my house) boot sale last Sunday. Got it for £1.50! Just 1 small part missing, that was it! Parts looked pretty mint too. The baseplate's worth that alone, the bricks are a bonus!
Thinking of using that tan baseplate for an upcoming Lone Ranger display...

As a New Yorker, I really can't give you a 'like' on this, but as a Lego fan, with a special fondness for minifigs and duplo block commemoratives, I must say, what a score!

I found a Lego collector shop an hour away from my house and I traded the owner 16 or so minifig scale Star Wars sets for both the UCS Imperial Shuttle and Super Star Destroyer misb! The only hard to find sets of my collection were Jango Fetts Slave 1 and Bounty Hunter pursuit, I couldn't believe he went for it!
Im so in love with the Shuttle!

This has got to be one of my best finds yet!

I figured, heck for $80 the figures alone would be worth it. The box came and I just yesterday got everything sorted and I ended up with:

    #7952 KINGDOMS ADVENT CALENDAR
    #7947PRISON TOWER RESCUE
    #7950KNIGHTS SHOWDOWN
    #7955WIZARD
    #7949 PRISON CARRIAGE RESCUE
#7187 ESCAPE FROM THE DRAGONS PRISON
    #7953 COURT JESTER

    #6061 SEIGE TOWER
    #6066 CAMOUFLAGED OUTPOST
    #6077 FORESTMANS RIVER FORTRESS
    #6080 KING'S CASTLE

No instructions but I grabbed the ones for the newer sets of Bl really cheap. All the sets had all the minifigures for them. Most of the classic castle sets were a bonus to me as I did not see them in the picture. It was a Buy It Now at 3:30 in the morning and I grabbed it just by seeing the figures. It pays to be on ebay at 3:30 am!

I am hoping another auction I won comes thru as well. I have done great with auctions where all you have is a picture of a box of Lego. Just one picture, nothing else. I can make out certain pieces from that. This is how I scored my Airport Shuttle. I could see an end of a monorail track and the red motor cover. Sure enough, complete set. Anyways, I just picked one up yesterday of 18 pounds. $160. All older space and city sets with instructions. I got a message from the guy saying he just found another box of 18 pounds that is pretty much all road plates and he was going to send them AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!

^That is a great haul and you got very, very lucky this time, but don't let that Lego high you're on cloud you judgement and wait for early morning deals. The time was just coincidence or just plain luck. After all, Ebay is worldwide, therefore your 3:30 am is someone else's lunch time so you can't rely on that logic. Still, you did great, enjoy.

I did offer to pay him but he really didn't want anything, he said I was doing him a favour by taking it.
    Couldn't really argue with that!
