I fondly remember set #8851 - the squeaky excavator where you could turn the switches to use the shovel.

Does anyone know the name of this piece? I found four of them but i do not know to which set they belong!

They are quite fragile - I have some more that are broken - and they feel like some temporary "closure" for special bricks - kind of like the elastic-holders.
As you can see, the studs have LEGO printed on them, but apart from that, there are no printing on the piece. No numbers or anything else to identify it.
What is it? Can you help?
