    Guys face is this http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3626bpb363&in=M
Thought his hair looked new in reddish brown - but only available in a friends set so far http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=62810&colorID=88&in=A
Boom. I'm done. And didn't get the obscure ketchup reference either. I'll put it on my hotdogs and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

I'm a sucker for promotions like this as well. I think someone at TLG was smart to include the "azure" bike.

It is awesome. I am all about minifigs, but a set is much nicer gift I think for spending 75 bucks especially this one a usable set for a city

Definitely spending $75 on lego.com in July. Will look great together with a street layout

Good job detective, problem is now I'm disappointed nothing is new. Bit peculiar on the Friends hair piece tho.

Chicago style with ketchup please :)

Just a quick question ?...doe's anyone know if LEGO S&H will have a different promo in July to coincide with the release of #10237 The Tower Of Orthanc, (have the money set aside for the #10237 but it is burning a hole in my pocket, so want ALL the Galaxy Squad sets), or will it be the same as June's ?.

I heard somewhere on this forum that it's a Creator hot dog stand poly, but only if you're a VIP member. You have to spend $75 (or £50).
  • GentlyBenevolentGentlyBenevolent Member Posts: 343
    Thanks for that :)

If you are lucky Jor-El might overlap with the Hot Dog Stand.
  • DiggydoesDiggydoes Member Posts: 1,079
Oooor you get Orthanc on monday at the VIP-member pre-sale and get a nice Jor-El!

Am I right to say this will be worldwide and not just US, right?

Really want a few #40078 for the bicycles.

The offer ends today (June 25th - see the stores.lego.com page). I think they might have figured out that the offers had been overlapping and so left some time with no offers to avoid that happening again.

@maniac - it's on the July newsletter my colleague picked up from the Sheffield store today, so it's going to be available in the UK too. Suspect that means it'll be a worldwide thing.

Good to hear. I'll be going to the Sheffield store on the 1st anyway so that works out well. Thanks.

Apparently then ran out yesterday according to an email I got from CS. I wrote them Saturday because the store I went to to pick up Orthanc didn't have Jor-El even though they had promotional displays for him and conveniently didn't tell me until after they rang me up. I was pretty upset and got an email back today that they would have sent me one, but they ran out yesterday.

^--Well if they 'conveniently' did not tell you as you put it, then just return the set right there and then.
Its a crummy thing to do, but if you really did not want to buy a 200 dollar set because they had no Jor-Els then return it since you are there already.
  • piratemania7piratemania7 Member Posts: 2,146
I just can't wait for the hot dog stand! I never got the Jor-El. I know I'm in a minority I am sure but I am more
Excited about the hot dog stand. I plan on getting the new family house creator set and maybe a series 10. Hoping for mr. Gold

I bet the hot dog cart will be super popular.

It's about time Lego made a bun for the wieners.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
In all fairness, any promotional item is "limited", but I would have told the person as I was ringing them up. Maybe that is why they are only making $8.00 an hour ;)

Yeah, but we will always have more buns than wieners.

If you really wanted the Jor-el why did you wait so long to try to get one. I also don't think it is the store job to tell you if they are out unless you asked.

:) Unless a box of buns ends up on the PAB wall somewhere. :)

I will ignore the snarkiness of your comment and just respond.

I have a limited amount of funds to spend on Lego, and I was holding out for the Tower. Unfortunately I could not get in until last Saturday. I debated returning it and going to another Lego store, but I had already used $25 worth of VIP points and a 10% coupon, so I knew it would be a hassle to return, plus the workers were kind of jerks, to be honest.

have you tried calling CS? Usually very helpful, explain to them what you said above and they might be able to come up with something. Maybe?

Does anyone know what other promotions (UK ones) there will be in July, other than the hot dog stand? I can't imagine any other offer is going to take place while this one is running, but I'd like to know.

I emailed CS on Saturday and got a response yesterday saying they had run out of Jor El on Monday, otherwise they would send me one. :/

It seems that Joe-El was either made in less quantities than Hoth Han or was more popular.
  • TheLoneTensorTheLoneTensor Member Posts: 3,937
But I thought Hoth Han was supposed to be the most popular and desirable minfig in the history of history. At least I read that...somewhere.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
I think @y2josh may have said that.

Third, more likely option: Jor-El was available for 24 days versus two for Han. Though, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had produced fewer Jor-Els, given what I assume is a slow sales month coupled with the lack of any type of sale that rivaled 50% off the B-Wing.

Wasn't me. I did say he was the best May the 4th promo, though. By a longshot.

I would really love this set but it's not available here in Singapore, as far as I know, even for the lego VIP card. The closest we have is the retailer's membership card, not an official LEGO VIP. To get the membership, we have to spend USD100/120 within a year.

I picked up a Hoth Han on EBay for 8 bucks.. I personally thought last years was much better, even though TC-14 is relatively unknown.
