The target endhangers have 4-6 medusas in them.

I found a Medusa yesterday at a TRU. I bought it because I felt the weird bulge that ended up being her snake body and had no idea what it was at the time. Also got a paintballer from my Lego store. This is the first time I've felt up packets to identify minifigs and I find it a bit difficult.

The easiest way to tell what you are feeling is to bring the leaflet from the package with you and look at the characters and their accessories while you are feeling. After several hours and some very sore fingers you will develop the technique. Also, once you get it, you don't loose it with each new series. You will retain the touch!

The Target endcap I bought fresh from the back room only had 3 Medusas. I think those endcap hangers were very random, as other people have posted. Mine also had 9 skydivers and 9 mechanics.

My Target had the Indian warriors and the painters. If that Target needs a paint job, it is set, there are painters galore.

The Fredmeyer next door has 8 boxes of series 10. For the first time ever I have the complete cmf series, I got carried away trying to find the "girls". Happy to say not a single duplicate:-) For some reason though everytime I come across Medusa I feel like buying that pack.

Had a very cruel dream about finding Mr Gold unwittingly. Was rather odd that he came with an oversized gold beret, but I was so daggone excited.

Here is one of the photos I sent to Lego to show them that the paint is pretty bad. (still thrilled to have him though!!!)

@margot- I get the feeling I'm blind, but I don't quite see the imperfection on the figure.

Is that darker gold on the legs "clumped"?

Having variations in the color of the chrome is actually normal.

Looks like there is glue on the leg almost I would be calling lego too

^^There definitely was a glitch in the chroming process on the leg. Still, I'm glad @margot was so thrilled to find him and that she is keeping him. (My son and I are also thrilled with ours. Mr. Gold looks wonderful sitting with our other minifigs.) Also glad to hear Lego is going to make good on this error. But Margot, please- turn the little guys left hand around!

This!! I started buying randoms at series 6 as we were newly out of dark ages but started feeling packs soon after to find what we needed to complete the kids collections. Taking the leaflet helps loads if you get a mind block over a piece, you can just look at the leaflet and remind yourself and as said above once honed your skills just carry on through to the next series.

You will want to send your mini figure back with a trackable method. This will ensure if any issues arise like it getting misplaced en route there is a record of the product in the shippers records. To my surprise, the walmart closest to us had a full (or almost full) box of series 10 tonight. O_O I decided to go gold digging but no luck. I chose to just get 2 painters and skip the skydiver and mechanic I also wanted since I can get then cheaper off of BL at a later date.

Did heck break loose? If heck does break loose then we need to know how to stop it. I'm almost scared to stumble upon Mr. Gold in fear that heck will break loose and I may not be able to handle it.

No! After I was certain it was Mr Gold (the lightsaber handle piece is a complete giveaway) I rapidly skipped around the shop to complete my shopping whilst whistling "I've got a Golden Ticket" from Willy Wonka! I must admit, had anyone attempted to touch my basket then all heck would CERTAINLY have broken loose..!! Still cannot believe I have one.. Was discussing it with my brother. It doesn't feel as amazing as I thought it would. It just feels really weird! I think that this is a similar feeling to winning the lottery. Just stunned disbelief; it was TOO DAMN EASY!

Wishing the best of luck to all you guys out there hunting! Xxxxx

Now that I have found one Mr Gold I keep thinking to myself that I could just nip out and pick up another one any time I like! As @SpaceCake mentioned, it all seems very easy once you have found one...

^I agree, I found mine after feeling less than 10 packs. But after spending more time looking for another one I've finally realized how rare they are and how lucky we are.

Today I went to debenhams to try to complete my collection, sadly there was no mr gold but I did get all but one which I just couldn't seem to find (the librarian), luckily I did get 20% off though, later on I went to morrisons hoping they would have had some series 10, to my disbelief all minifigure packets had been opened, pieces were all over in the box and packets were completely destroyed, I was pretty disappointed, still looking for you librarian (and hopefully mr gold which I very doubt) :-(

I have bought over 30 packs telling myself that if I find Mr. Gold, the auction on ebay will cover my costs. Even though I have no intention of selling him.

They are replacing the defective one but she has to return it first. (See Margot's post 14 up from yours). When I said I was glad she was keeping him, I was referring to the fact that she was thrilled to have found him, defect and all, and that she and her son were going to keep him and enjoy having him in their collection rather than selling him.

For those of you, such as myself, who are still searching, what are you plans now? Cause for myself, I've been to all the Targets in my area and they've already received their shipments and sold out, or I've checked them already. I don't expect them to get new shipments, they usually don't and each store already got 2 boxes. Walmart's are random, some don't even have them in the system, one was completely sold out except for 3 packs. Every time I go to the LEGO store near me the packs are horrible damaged and obviously felt through a dozen or more times. So I haven't even searched for Mr. Gold lately simply because I don't know where else to search? Is anyone else in this boat? Or are you guys still checking TRU as soon as they get their shipments, just randomly searching if you come across them, or what?

Interesting that they will replace him. For every other CMF, lego always says that they have no way of knowing what is in the packets, and so can only send a random (sealed) figure instead of a specific one if you report one that is damaged or has a part missing.

From what I have been told, 3 have been found in my Lego store here in Calgary, Canada.

Not sure if it's accurate or not, just came from one of the store employees.

Still don't have a single S10 figure, let alone searching for one. I just have the motivation to go out and feel the packs. :-/

My hunt is over. I'm leaving all that packet feeling behind me. Finally struck gold!
Thank you WHS for not having the cmf box in the open (kept behind counter).
Anyway no. 2629 is mine and will be staying with me in London, UK.
Good luck to all still searching.

    @andhe
Basically I had given up all hope of finding one.
I had got all 16 within the first few days of release.
Since then I have searched various stores - Lego Westfield, TRU (Brent Cross, Hayes and Watford), my local Tesco and Sainsburys, but it was apparent that others also had the same idea.
Today it happened that I needed some lunch, Subway was calling me.
A WHS was in the same retail park (Greenford), I asked to look at the opened case, not many had been removed. Luck was shining on me.
Random in that I did not expect to find it or went particularly to look for it.
As soon as I picked up the packet I knew what was in it, star wars hilt and gem biggest give away.
As a side note, have been told that there is a fella who found (actively looked for) 3 Mr Gs in Uxbridge.

Around here, 2 out of 3 stores that have been seen with CMF's in the past have gotten series 10 but no mr gold in the boxes. Store #3 hasn't gotten in a box of series 10 and not sure if they will be. The only other stores that have them are ones we don't go to much since they are further away so I wouldn't have time to be gold hunting there.

So my plan is that unless I find myself with an unusual amount of time on my hands at the further stores or Store #3 gets them, i'm throwing in the towel.

While I do have interest in him, the major reason I was a gold hunter/dreamer of finding MG for the last month was to pass time until a video game I REALLY want comes out. Now that it's down to 5 days, I just don't have the desire to seek MG anymore. Good luck to those still seeking though.
